Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

We have seen them both struggling with the decision to change their lives for the better and forever, but today was the first time that Jason seemed to realize that choosing Sonny — whether for business or personal reasons — really has done a number on his life and his son's life. Jason's first step toward breaking free of Sonny came when he chose Monica over Sonny's wishes for the first time in three decades. He wanted custody of Danny, but now knows that parenting a teenager means you can't run off to your mob sweetheart at the drop of a hat anymore, as Jason has been doing since 1996. When Jason turned up at Sonny's place as the episode ended, we really, really, really wanted him to just say, "I quit!" Clearly, we are not there yet. But, baby steps, Jason, baby steps. We know you can do it. And then the General Hospital Earth will shift...
