Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital
If you scroll social media, you'll see how many fans think Danny and Charlotte are absolutely adorable together. And they are. But they can never be together-together. And we hope General Hospital remembers this. That's because they are cousins. It's a little complicated, but it's true. Charlotte's dad is the son of Helena Cassadine, a result of her extramarital dalliance with Victor Cassadine. And Danny's grandma is the daughter of Victor's brother, Mikkos, a result of his extramarital dalliance with Kristen Bergman. Yes, it's sometimes hard to remember that Sam was a Cassadine, but she was. And that makes Danny and Charlotte cousins, which means they cannot be our new young teenage romance. We are just afraid GH does not realize this, cause the look Danny was giving Charlotte today got us a little nervous. Plus, GH just did the cousin thing with Sasha and Cody. We don't want to see the show go there again. Let's not forget that Danny's half-brother, Jake, was also interested in Charlotte at one time. So, if any of Jason's sons dates Charlotte, let it be the one who is not his cousin. That would be Jake. Of course, that would mean that Jake has to return to Port Charles, but that's a whole other issue. The bottom line is Charlotte and Danny indeed have some chemistry, but it's inappropriate chemistry that cannot be pursued.
