Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on General Hospital

Gio called Brook Lynn "Mom." Can we all say a collective "Awwww..." now? Brook Lynn has waited 22 years for the baby she gave birth to at age 16 to call her "Mom," and finally, he did it. And we are in all our feels. The moment was also just right with perfect timing. When Brook Lynn decided to give Gio space back in May, when they first learned that they were mother and son, we weren't sure if that was the right idea. First, it put this very hot storyline on the back burner, and we felt let down. But over the last few months, the slow progression of Gio working his way back to the Quartermaines and his parents has been beautiful to watch. And Brook Lynn was determined to be a parent to Gio this week, knowing how much he was hurting after Dante tore into him over Rocco breaking into the lab. She wasn't sure if she was going about it right, but took Michael's advice and did the best she could. Of course, Michael helped things along by getting Gio to the hospital to sit by Brook Lynn's side. We feel that Gio is a true Q now. He was there for Tracy when the rest of the family moved out. He saved Ned's life, and now, he said the one word his mother has always wanted to hear — "Mom."
