Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital
We had wondered if General Hospital would acknowledge what happened on Halloween last year and we are glad they did. Samantha McCall deserved to be remembered, as there has been a hole in her family and a hole on the GH canvas since the character was killed off. It was probably one of the most unpopular decisions that the show has ever made, but at least Sam has not been forgotten as her legacy lives on in her children, her mother, and her sisters. GH did not make a lot of fanfare about it and did not give us oodles of flashbacks, but we saw the people Sam loved most and who loved her most offer their favorite memories, while never forgetting what happened. We also saw the impact Sam's death still has on her two children, one a pre-teen and one a teen. GH even subliminally acknowledged what else happened a year ago. It was the official beginning of the Gruesome Twosome, as Willow comforted Drew after his ex-wife died by having sex with him on the floor of the playroom while his daughter cried in another room after losing her mom. Today, Scout told Kristina that her dad never talks about her mom, but he sure likes to talk about Willow. That about sums up the respect Drew has for the woman he claimed to once love.
