Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital
As Jason gave a Drew Cain history to his Aunt Ronnie, he told her that he never even knew that he had a twin brother named Drew until 2017, but Drew had always known about him and the Qs. That is not even remotely true. Yes, when Jason returned from his time in a Russian clinic as Patient Six, he learned he had a twin brother named Drew, but at the time, Drew thought he was Jason, as did everyone else in Port Charles. It was only after a DNA test was run that Drew learned that he was even Drew Cain, and Drew Cain never knew who his family was or where he came from. In fact, Drew Cain should still not know anything about his life because when he went down in that plane over Afghanistan, he still had Jason's post-1996 memories. The fact that Drew claims to remember his entire life as Drew has rubbed us the wrong way ever since this version of the character started talking about his high school football and Navy SEAL days. But to claim that Drew always knew who his real family was takes the cake. This does not match the history of the character, which was established within the last eight years. Fans might not remember everything that happened 30 years ago, but most of us can remember the last decade. If the writing team could, that would be nice.
