Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital

General Hospital finally gave the audience what it wanted when Drew Cain was shot, but there needed to be a point to this shooting aside from Anna making a bulletin board of suspects? While this version of Drew Cain is universally hated and not a successful character, to say the least, we knew GH wasn't going to kill him off, but we thought he would at least be injured enough for there to be storyline consequences. But nope. Drew is pretty much fine. Sure, he has tubes in his nose, but that's standard protocol. It's not like he is unconscious or hooked up to machines. Heck, he's not even paralyzed after Lucas and Portia made such a big deal about the second bullet being lodged right by his spinal cord. We were hoping beyond hope that Drew wouldn't be able to feel his legs, but nope. Lucas tested him, and all was good. So, um, why was he shot? Where are the consequences? We thought maybe he'd wake, and we'd learn he was brainwashed for the last two years. Perhaps we'd even discover that he wasn't Drew at all, but an imposter. But nope. He's still this version of Drew, as creepy and menacing as ever. So, again, we ask, why was he shot? You can't have a shooting story with absolutely no consequences just to have a bit of a mystery for Anna to solve. But that seems to be what GH is presenting.
