General Hospital Daily YAPP Recap, September 8: Jason already blew it with Britt

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on General Hospital

Did Jason not listen to a word that Britt said when he explained why he chose to let everyone believe he was dead after the 2021 tunnel explosion on Cassadine Island? (Did he listen to Sam either, for that matter, when she had a cow upon learning the truth last year — and rightfully so?) Jason let his family, friends, and loved ones believe he was in the great beyond so he could bail Carly out of yet another mess. Britt likened it to the time he dumped her so he could marry Carly precisely because she had gotten herself into a mess trying to run Sonny's business. It was that same mess that prompted Jason's fake death. Both Britt and Sam had accused Jason of dropping everything to come to Carly's rescue, and they were right. Then, Jason went and did it again during the September 8 episode when he heard Josslyn was down the hall and in trouble. So what if Britt had an explosive strapped to her ankle? He had to drop everything to run and save Carly's dingbat daughter, who had gotten herself into a mess by becoming a WSB agent. All Jason ended up doing was proving Britt's point, which won't score him any romantic points when they inevitably make their way back to Port Charles. Clearly, with Jason, things go in one ear and out the other.
