General Hospital fans have one important question: Why does nobody record Drew?

General Hospital's Drew Cain cannot seem to be contained. He makes a mad dash from victim to victim on a daily basis, twirling his proverbial mustache, laughing maniacally at his dirty work as any crazed villain would, and making threats. And boy, does Drew make threats — loudly, unabashedly, and often.

The last person to record Drew before he went all cartoon villain was Michael, when he got Drew (Cameron Mathison) to admit he was ready to screw over Curtis (Donnell Turner) and give Michael the CEO position. Drew wasn't even all that mean and nasty when he said it. In fact, he tried to be quite charming, but the recording didn't go over well with Curtis. Now, the two former BFFs are mortal enemies, and Portia (Brook Kerr) has become Drew's favorite blackmail victim.

But Drew hasn't stopped with Portia. He's threatened Curtis, Nina (Cynthia Watros), and now Carly (Laura Wright). He doesn't care what he says or what he sounds like as he terrorizes the town. But why do his victims not care to just...record him? How hard would it be to do what Michael did last winter and hit a phone's voice message record button and go when Drew isn't looking? That's what the audience wants to know.

General Hospital fans are exasperated

"Why don't these people keep their phones ready to record whenever Drew is around?" asked X (formerly Twitter) user @emilybz7.

@hananazizi77 has a bone to pick with Portia about this, tweeting, "It doesn't occur to Portia to record Drew in order to trap him and show that he's threatening and wants her to do his dirty work."

General Hospital fan @TherealLiaHardy concurs, writing, "Portia needs to record Drew's threat against Michael and then send it to him."

One fan thinks that Portia is the perfect person to get this recording done, considering how many times a month he just pops into her office to be menacing.

"Portia should be wearing a wire that she switch on whenever Drew goes near her," @anyas_cafe wrote.

@tweetybird101_2 also wants Nina to take some initiative. "Nina should record every conversation she has with Drew," she wrote.

Some fans even want a Maryland's Kat Richardson to make her way to Port Charles and show Portia, Nina, and others how it's done. Kat is the Beyond the Gates pro at recording.

"I think we need #Kat from #BeyondTheGates to crossover to #PortCharles She would have had the common sense to record Drew by now & blow him out of the water!"

If someone does record Drew and plays it back for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), would she even believe it, or would she call it a hoax if Drew says it is? When you're in a cult, there's no telling what you'll believe from your leader.
