General Hospital Mystery: Who is the shocking guest at the Nurses' Ball?

General Hospital always has shockers in store for the Nurses' Ball, and we don't expect this year to be an exception. In fact, we expect a very unexpected guest, per the show's promo for the event, but who could it be?

Michael Corinthos, the General Hospital man of the hour

Some fans are convinced that Michael is about to shock everyone when he walks into the ball completely healed. He allegedly has no idea that his mother arranged a divorce court date for him and plans to fight on his behalf, but Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was pretty adamant that Carly (Laura Wright) let Michael know what was going on.

Carly refused to call Michael when Josslyn handed her the phone, but that doesn't mean Joss can't do the right thing and call Michael herself. Perhaps his recovery has been going better than he's let on to his family and now he's ready to come home. Showing up at the Nurses' Ball will certainly shock everyone, especially Drew (Cameron Mathison). He knows if Michael is back, then there is a very good chance he can lose Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).

This would mean that GH is keeping something very big under wraps — either a return for Chad Duell or a Michael recast. However, it seems much more logical that Michael will make a surprise courtroom appearance instead. Of course, that is what many expect, so maybe the court date is a red herring to throw fans off.

A musical guest

At the last Nurses' Ball in 2023, Allison Rogers Ramirez (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), aka Blaze, stopped the show with a song — and by calling out Linc (Dan Buran) for sexual harassment. Blaze has been on tour with Miguel Morez (Ricky Martin) since last summer, but that doesn't mean she can't come home early for a surprise performance at the ball.

Blaze's brother is living in Port Charles now, and Kristina (Kate Mansi) is still a hot mess who needs her now more than ever. Blaze could even be the one who gets Kristina to realize she needs serious help, leading her to confess to cutting the brakes on Ric's (Rick Hearst) car.

The longshot guest

Okay, we admit it. We want Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) to return to Port Charles at any point, any time. GH is making it more clear than ever that Sonny (Maurice Benard) is single and has been for quite a while now. After all, his date for the ball is his 7-year-old daughter, which is certainly a switch for Sonny.

Besides, if Brenda showed up at the Nurses' Ball, we might get to see her throw a roll at Carly as she did years ago. The moment was so legendary that it became a social media gif for the ages, as seen below.
