Jack opened his Metro Court hotel room door to a frantic Carly. She did what he suggested and let loose with Willow but now worried that it had backfired. "I may have just handed Michael's children over to Willow and Drew," she said.

Carly realized that the Willow she saw earlier was thinking for herself and not acting petty just because of Drew. "I don't get it. We welcomed her into our family, and this is how she repays all the love and kindness? I couldn't take it. I blew up," Carly admitted. Jack felt that Carly was justified in her actions, and he would help her mitigate the damage.

Carly knew that she was out of control with Willow, but she was so flabbergasted with how much Willow had changed. "The things she said about my son...I lost it, and I almost hit her, but thank God Nina texted Jason and he showed up and he stopped me," Carly admitted. "As I see it, you did exactly what needed to be done," Jack said.

Jack thought that Willow would now go on the attack and that it would help Carly and Michael in the end. Jack was sure that Willow would panic and prompt Drew to try to be her knight in shining armor. "Drew is so arrogant, he will want to do something big and save the day. In doing so, he will overreach and make a mistake," Jack predicted.

At Drew's Dawn of Day house, Willow lamented that Carly had ruined their joyous day of their families coming together. Drew reassured Willow that she wouldn't lose her kids, but Willow still worried. "I know Carly can be vindictive and mean. I saw that first hand when she went after my mom, but now I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of it," Willow marveled. Drew agreed, saying, "You can't put anything past Carly."

"She's a user," Drew continued, referring to Carly. "I went to prison for her, and when our relationship was over, she had no use for me. It was as if nothing we ever shared mattered at all," he added, twisting the truth and omitting the fact that he dumped Carly. Willow remembered Carly telling her that she would always care about Drew, but now realized that Carly lied about everything.

When Nina returned to the room, she was stunned that Drew had suggested getting a restraining order against Carly. "Let's not do anything rash. We're not going to get anywhere or fix things if we're as extreme as Carly was," she warned. They didn't get too far with their conversation because Kai showed up. Drew quickly asked him to leave since he was in the middle of a family crisis.

Drew left the room "to handle something," so Nina and Willow were left alone to talk. Willow wondered how Nina could want her to compromise with a woman who had compared her to Nelle. Nina shrugged it off, saying Carly only did that to push Willow's buttons. "Why are you so bothered by her comment?" Nina asked.

"Maybe deep down, if I'm being honest with myself, I'm scared there's some truth to it," Willow confessed. Nina advised Willow to stop beating herself up over what happened with Carly. "It's not cruel to stand up for yourself. It's not cruel to get verbally beaten," Nina said.

A tearful Willow asked why so many people had turned against her. "People have treated me horribly, and I haven't done anything wrong," a delusional Willow said. "I can sort of see why Nelle felt misunderstood and angry at the world," she added. Nina tried to make excuses for both of her daughters, saying Nelle had a horrible childhood and was mentally ill when Willow was not. It was clear Nina didn't believe everything she was saying.

Nina still did her best to get Willow to compromise with Michael and Carly, but Drew walked into the room and put a stop to the conversation. Nina took the hint and left. Once alone with Drew, Willow admitted she feared telling Michael she had moved in with Drew cause he could be "ruthless and lethal" when he needed to be. Drew reassured Willow that he had the power to fight Michael and Carly.

Then, Drew stunned Willow when he handed her papers, which would make him Wiley and Amelia's legal guardian if something ever happened to Willow. Like the zombie she is, Willow signed the papers immediately.

Ava arrived in Ric's hospital room to tell him all about her meeting with Alexis. "I told her that if she didn't meet my demands, I'd have to have a little conversation with the cops and Molly about her precious daughter's attempted murder," Ava relayed. When Ava told Ric that she gave Alexis until the next morning to decide, he wasn't so sure that Alexis would cooperate.

"Over the years, I have done a lot to get under Alexis' skin. But there's one thing I've never done. I've never underestimated her. You see, you think you gave Alexis 24 hours to make a decision. But, you also gave her 24 hours to come up with a strategy to save Kristina," Ric warned.

A nervous Ava rationalized to herself that her plan was foolproof and Alexis would pay up, but Ric wasn't so sure. He also worried that Kristina would walk free and come after Ava again. Ric was pleased to hear that Ava left his name out of things when she spoke to Alexis. "That was very kind of you...just as long as you don't try to swindle me out of my share of the cut," Ric said.

Alexis spoke to Diane on the phone from her porch, telling her she hadn't signed the commitment papers yet. When Alexis opened the door, she found Kristina and Molly setting up a Noodle Buddha takeout night for the three of them. Molly even asked for Alexis' phone so they could all unplug and shut out the world.

"You know what? That's exactly what I need right now," Alexis said as she tossed her phone into a basket. Kristina remarked that Noodle Buddha was one of Sam's favorite places, and it felt weird enjoying food from there without her. Molly thought Sam would be happy that all three of them were together.

Alexis's heart clearly broke as she listened to Molly and Kristina talk about how happy they were to have made up. Alexis also noted Kristina expressing the guilt she felt about how she had been acting during the last nine months.

Alexis wasn't sure what to do or think when Kristina said she was learning to let go of anger and resentment. "I had this toxic need for revenge...but that's not who I am," Kristina said. Alexis seemed to take that as a sign that Kristina's mental health was improving.

Sonny met with Laura in her office at her behest. "There's still a possibility that the city could seize control of your waterfront property," Laura warned. She explained to Sonny that some politicians wouldn't let the matter go, so she was going to put it to a vote and let the people of Port Charles decide where the esplanade should be located.

Laura admitted that she made this decision for appearances sake. "It's not secret that Congressman Cain and Councilman Boyle are trying to make an issue of my friendship with you," Laura said. She also felt the people of Port Charles deserved to decide where the esplanade would be built.

"I run a legitimate business from those piers. If they try to take it from me, I'm not going to let them," Sonny warned. Laura asked her friend to trust Laura. "I have another reason for what I'm doing right now. I can't really go into it," she said just as their grandson Rocco arrived so Larua could help him with high school debate prep.

In Portia's office, Trina worried about Kai having the surgery. What if he played football again and one injury left him paralyzed? Portia informed Trina that she had researched the surgery, but she would be violating Kai's medical privacy if she told Trina her recommendation.

Portia also reminded Trina how much Kai cared about football and wanted it in his life; whether to have the surgery or not was ultimately Kai's decision. Portia also made another point about Trina's worries. "This feels like something else. Like Spencer," she said.

Trina brushed Portia off, but Portia got her to admit that she was worried. "I just don't want to watch something terrible happen to someone else I care about," Trina said. After Trina left, Kai stopped by to hear Portia's recommendation. "If you want my honest opinion, I cannot in good conscience recommend this surgery," she said.
