General Hospital Recap August 18-22, 2025: Pascal’s deadly game exposes Vaughn and puts Joss in the crosshairs

This week on General Hospital, two agents from the New York State Office of Fraud came to the hospital to question Aunt Stella. Although her friends tried to stop it, she agreed to go without a lawyer to answer the questions. Maxie asked Martin if Deception could toss her out if she flipped on Sonny, and he said no, but cautioned that she could lose her friends if she did it. Martin tried to represent Aunt Stella, but the agents said he couldn’t because he was part of their investigation. ADA Turner was at Sonny’s and overheard Drew trying to blackmail him. He wanted Sonny to sell the piers and leave town; otherwise, he would press charges against Michael. At the Five Poppies, Joss shot the hitman, saving Vaughn from being strangled. Vaughn then finished off the assassin by smothering him with a pillow, and they dumped the body. Turner promised Sonny she would take down Drew. Sidwell told Marco that Drew was becoming a liability. While guest-hosting on Home & Heart, Maxie applied some cream she was given before the show to her face and passed out. Joss, upset at her first kill, brooded in the shower, and Vaughn came in and held her. A heart attack caused Maxie’s collapse, and she was rushed to General Hospital. Carly yelled at Nina for not coming forward about her relationship with Drew sooner, which would have saved a lot of heartache. Nina ran at Carly, who blocked her and sent the magazine publisher into the Metro Court pool. Sonny, Diane, and Michael strategized what to do when Drew files charges against Michael. Drew had his shiner documented at General Hospital. Maxie flatlined, but Lucas and Elizabeth saved her. ADA Turner asked Anna to open an investigation into Drew. Drew pressed charges against Michael. Joss and Vaughn had sex, then planned what to do given that their cover was blown. Jason went to Britt’s room and they started catching each other up on what happened, but Britt ultimately tossed him out without explaining how she’s alive. Curtis hired Alexis to be Aunt Stella’s lawyer. Stella admitted that she had fudged numbers a few times so that patients would get healthcare coverage for their procedures. Alexis told her that it was a crime. Maxie’s family hovered around the hospital, and it was feared she would go into a coma. Drew tried getting Martin on his side in the Michael incident. Chase told Turner that none of the witnesses to Drew and Michael’s altercation saw anything. Alexis and Curtis were certain that Drew was behind Aunt Stella’s fraud investigation. Martin refused to sign Drew’s statement as a witness, and Drew fired him. While writing her western novel, Molly fantasizes that Cody is in it as a hunky cowboy. Ric told Alexis the same thing Ava told her: He’d created an offshore account and she need only make one last blackmail deposit in it. Lulu and Obrecht came to a truce. Lulu later made a truce with Brook Lynn. Drew told Willow his sob story, embellishing that Michael viciously assaulted him. The two ended up hugging, and Nina saw them through the hospital door’s window. Molly bumped into Michael, and for some strange reason, she blurted out that she had feelings for Cody. Lulu and Laura worried that Maxie would slip into a coma. Ava admitted to Cody that the only reason to stay together with Ric was to drive Alexis, Molly, and Kristina insane. For some reason, the courier, Greta, met with Jason, who gave her a story about being a contractor for ELQ. Britt skulked in the bushes, listening in on them. Vaughn tried convincing Joss to give up on finding Britt, but she refused. Pascal told Britt that the WSB had infiltrated the Five Poppies, and Greta was tasked with seeing if Jason was a threat. Kristina admitted to Willow that when Michael was injured, she pretended to be nice to Willow because she was withholding her brother’s treatment. She then told Willow she was a terrible mother. Joss spied Jason at the resort. After Laura explained it, Lulu finally understood what she had gone through when Lulu went into her own coma. Liz tried to get Kristina to give Willow a second chance, reminding her about her own near-fatal blunder. But Liz later overheard Willow asking Drew on the phone for his help in getting her kids back. Molly walked in on Cody and Ava kissing. Kristina had a strange series of flashbacks recalling the events that led up to her cutting Ric’s brakes, then Ric showed up at the door. Joss couldn’t find Vaughn, and Pascal showed up with a gun, revealed he knew Vaughn was an agent, and told her he’d be happy to facilitate their reunion. Britt showed up at Jason’s room all dressed up.
