Brook Lynn went to the PCPD to tell Dante about speaking with Gio at the church. She was worried about him not having the support of his family and told Dante that Gio needed his father. He reminded her that he and Gio still weren’t on good terms, but she asked him to try. He left to find Gio at the church.

The other investigator wouldn’t let Trina in to see Stella. Alexis arrived with Sonny. After the investigator stalled with Alexis, Sonny flexed his Sonny-ness and asked if he was going to let Stella speak with her attorney or if they were going to have a problem.

In the interrogation room, Stella refused to answer the investigator’s questions until her attorney was present. Alexis came in and quickly pointed out that the investigators neglected to get the judge’s signature on two different documents. They left to get the signatures.

Later, (off-screen) Sonny went in to speak with Stella, who appreciated his support but asked him to stay out of it. When Sonny came out to speak with Alexis, Trina went in to see Stella. Stella apologized to Trina and didn’t want her to get caught up in any of it. As Trina was leaving, she told Alexis she was going to get some answers.

Gio was still at the church honoring Camilla’s birthday. Staring at the cross on the altar, he had a heartbreaking conversation with his mom. He remembered some of their birthday traditions, but then talked about not being able to find it in his heart to play the violin since he found out the truth. The only thing he said he felt was “lost.”

Dante arrived as Gio was finishing his prayer and sat to talk. He reminisced about the birthday parties the Cerullos threw for Camilla. Gio figured he’d be mad at Camilla for keeping the truth from him, but Dante said he wasn’t. Dante went on to recount how Gio would stay with them when Camilla was booked for a job and a particularly chaotic Christmas, where Dante held him for the first time. He also remembered what a special bond Gio and Camilla had. He understood why Gio would want to know why his mom went along with the lie, but assured him that she was thinking about him every step of the way.

Gio said he needed to get going and thanked Dante for the story. Dante told him he had plenty if he ever wanted to hear more. Gio said he appreciated today, but also said he wasn’t very interested in the two of them being close. Dante understood and genuinely apologized for the way he treated him the night Rocco was taken to the hospital. He said he was scared out of his mind and took it out on him instead of dealing with his feelings.

Before Gio left, he asked what Dante thought he would have done had he found out about him when he was younger. Dante said he’d like to think he would have stepped up to be the father Gio deserved, but, unfortunately, they’d never know. What he did know was that he was really sorry he didn’t get the chance.

In the Quartermaine kitchen, Martin came to ask for Tracy’s help with Stella. He told her about Stella being investigated and arrested for insurance fraud, and wanted Tracy to use her influence and position on the hospital board to help. He also briefly explained how Drew used what he had said about Stella helping him to target her. Tracy blamed Martin’s ineptitude for getting Stella in trouble, but Martin blamed Tracy. He reminded her that she was the one who torpedoed him at the press conference, which led to his back injury, as well as the one who sicced his ex-wives on him, which resulted in him being locked up in Lodi and not realizing his insurance had expired.

After sniping back and forth, Tracy said they could agree that Stella was a good woman who needed their assistance, albeit separately. They both scoffed at the idea that they would ever be able to work together and sniped at each other a bit more before Martin left.

After church and the PCPD, Brook Lynn went home. She shared her worry about Gio being lost and hurting. She remembered what a special bond Gio and Camilla had and was thankful for knowing her son was raised by someone who loved him as much as she would have. When she admitted to being sad that she would never have the same kind of relationship with Gio as he had with Camilla, Tracy assured her it was still possible.

At the hospital, Curtis followed Portia into her office to ask about the snide remark she’d just made about him and Jordan. Portia felt he was still too focused on Jordan, and he said he didn’t have time for her petty jealousy because his auntie had just been arrested. She then claimed he didn’t even have time for their marriage.

When she accused him of having total faith in Jordan but not her, he asked why he would have complete faith in her after all of the times she lied to him. He said she’d lied to him from the very beginning of their relationship, and lying was how she problem-solved and coped. She couldn’t believe that he was blaming Stella’s arrest on her, but he felt the whole mess started because of her.

Curtis understood Portia had been trying to protect Trina, but said she went about it all wrong. He continued to berate her until she finally said, “I lied to you. Okay? I may have said some lies. But you, my friend…you are living one.” She gave an emotional speech and said his heart belonged to Jordan. He responded by telling Portia she conveniently forgot one thing…he never gave Jordan a second chance, but he’d given her more than one, which should tell her everything she needed to know.

Portia remained steadfast in her view and further spun out when she claimed he only stayed with her because of Trina. Curtis admitted he’d been burying his feelings of resentment toward Portia and her lies so they could be a family. She was sure he’d never forgive her for lying about Trina, and she would always think he was in love with Jordan.

Curtis was done with the argument and wanted to go to the police station to see Stella. Portia proclaimed that if he left, it would mean everything she said was true and he never wanted to fight for them. She said if he walked out the door, she would know their marriage was over. He walked out the door.

Elsewhere, Jordan ran into Isaiah coming off the elevator. When she asked him if he’d seen Curtis, he pointedly said Curtis was with his wife. She had news about Stella for them, but Isaiah questioned if they needed to hear it from her and said she should give them some space. Telling him to stop with the snide remarks and say what was actually going on, he said it was obvious she and Curtis still had feelings for each other.

Jordan said she never would nor would she ever cross the line with Curtis. Isaiah said he’d been watching Portia struggle with her marriage for months and felt she didn’t deserve to be caught in the middle of Jordan and Curtis. When she told him he was out of line, Isaiah shifted to talking about how they almost had something great, but that he now knew he never had a chance because her heart was always with Curtis.

She apologized for hurting him but said their break-up had nothing to do with Curtis, who was not a part of her life the way Isaiah thought he was. Just as she was saying that, Curtis walked up, which Isaiah felt proved his point. After Isaiah walked off, Jordan shared the information she got from her source with Curti,s which all but confirmed it was Drew who instigated the investigation on Stella.

Still in her office, Portia was crying while looking at her wedding picture with Curtis. Letting out a rage-scream, she threw the frame at the wall. As she was trying to get her wedding ring off, Isaiah walked in. As soon as he removed the wedding ring from her finger, they started to kiss passionately.

Marco returned to Wyndemere to let his father know he’d made a move against Sonny. Sidwell was shocked to discover that Marco had informed Drew Cain about Judge Heran. Marco reasoned that he told Drew because he knew Drew would immediately use it against Michael, who then would turn on Sonny. Increasingly enraged, Sidwell said, “My son, you’ve made a foolish error in judgment.”

They began to argue. Sidwell said he’d planned to use the information to get Sonny’s piers, but Marco yelled that he only cared about getting justice for his mother, and Corinthos needed to pay for his role in her death. Fully enraged, his father yelled back that he agreed, and it was all part of the plan until Marco imploded it. Calming back down, he said they now needed to figure out what the blowback was going to be for them. Sidwell said it was pointless to fight about it because what was done was done, and they needed to stay one step ahead of Sonny. He said they needed to get to Judge Heran before Sonny did.

Drew came to Michael’s Aurora office under the guise of being concerned for the children. He smugly made a list of demands regarding Willow and the kids he fully expected Michael to adhere to now that he knew Judge Heran was “bought and paid for”. Michael, of course, had no idea what he was talking about.

Not knowing Marco lied to him, Drew claimed Sonny paid the judge a million dollars to rule in Michael’s favor. He, of course, intended to use his congressional power to expose Sonny.

Drew hypothesized that the judge’s ruling would get thrown out, and Michael’s transgressions would be held against him, who he said would then be lucky to get the kids one weekend a month and a week in the summer. So, he told Michael, agreeing to a 50-50 custody deal now would be a chance he should jump at before it was too late.

Michael didn’t believe Drew and said he was grasping at straws. Drew gloated about how easy it would be to get an inquiry into the judge’s financial accounts and tried to compel Michael to petition the court to change the ruling to Willow having FULL custody. When Michael didn’t acquiesce, Drew said he was going forward with the investigation, which would likely lead to felony charges and prison time. He also threatened to replace the judge with one he’d have more sway over.

Michael felt that if Drew had actual proof, he’d be thumbing it in his face, but figured he’d falsify whatever evidence he needed anyway. For now, Michael reminded Drew of the current court order and, since they were on the topic of threats, said, “After this little stunt here, I think I’m going to see to it that the custody hearing in October is pushed back indefinitely. So congratulations, Uncle Drew — you may have just cost Willow the chance of getting her kids back for the second time.”

After Drew walked out, he called Kai, saying he needed to find out where Carly was immediately. Michael called Sonny to meet at his office. When Sonny arrived, Michael told him Drew was going after him and the kids and was using Sonny to do it. Michael believed Sonny didn’t do it, and Sonny felt the only person who could give them answers was Judge Heran.

Back at his office, Drew was leaving a message for Willow about Michael. Mid-message, Curtis walked in and ended his call. He said, “This crusade you have against my family needs to stop. You need to end it. Or, I will end you.”
