Back at his WSB office, Brennan pulled the hood off Anna’s head. She’s relieved it was just him who took her, but angrily told him, “You know, in the future, a phone call works just as well as abduction.” Brennan said he was trying to save her from a sentence at Steinmauer because she had come dangerously close to compromising a level-5 op. He decided it was time for transparency.

Brennan explained that Dalton was conducting research on cold fusion, which Anna quickly concluded could be weaponized in the wrong hands. When he admitted Josslyn was a full agent now, Anna admonished him for tasking an inexperienced recruit with a mission on foreign soil. Angrily, Brennan told her she’d been fully briefed, so now she could stand down and stay out of their way. Anna made it clear she had no intention of standing down, especially since Emma was also involved.

He said if she were to share any information she was just given, it would be considered treason which she’d had experience with as a former double (or triple?) agent and threatened, “If you try to stop us or get in our way, the next time you’re taken, you’re going to wake up in Steinmauer…if you wake up at all.” She acknowledged he put her in a box, but said he didn’t realize he was in one too, because there was going to be hell to pay when Carly found out what he’d done to her daughter.

Angrily, Brennan said he never manipulated Josslyn into anything, but Anna forced him to see the truth. She left him simmering by pointing out, of all the women she’d seen him with, she had never seen him act the way he did with Carly who had clearly fallen for.

When he said his feelings were immaterial, Anna pointed out that he had just sent his lover’s daughter on a high-risk mission and asked how he would face Carly if something went wrong. Before slamming his office door shut, Brennan maintained it was only a recon mission and he had every reason to believe Joss and Vaughn would come back from Dalmatia without a scratch. “Dalmatia” gave Anna another clue when it triggered her memory of Jason telling her about Britt.

Michael and Dante arrived back at the Q mansion after going for a run. Michael had Daisy on his mind and was lamenting all the things he’d been missing. He confided in Dante about his growing suspicions that it was Willow who was targeting Daisy, but said he didn’t have evidence. He wasn’t even sure he wanted to confront Willow about it and was hoping he was wrong because, if not, it would change everything.

The more they talked, the more certain Michael became it had to be Willow who was targeting Daisy. Dante offered to open an official inquiry. Michael didn’t want to yet, but was more convinced than ever that Wiley and Amelia were not safe with Willow anymore.

Chase saw Willow when he arrived at the hospital. When he asked how she was, she said she was doing better now that he was there. Needing a friend, she asked Chase to join her on break. She wondered if there was anything he could tell her about how Wylie and Amelia were doing. He said Wylie was liking oatmeal, and Amelia’s new favorite juice was grapefruit, which made Willow realize how they were changing, and she wasn’t able to witness it.

She said she had a lot of work to do on herself, and the first step was to own her role in everything. Acknowledging it wasn’t right to go to Carly’s, she was still surprised Carly didn’t show her any compassion, but then seemed to understand why she didn’t. She wanted to figure out how to undo all the damage. Chase comforted Willow by saying she was a good person and a good mother, and, in time, Michael and Carly would see that again.

Meanwhile, Carly found Lucas in a breakroom. She brought his mail as an excuse to see him because she missed him and wanted him to move back in. They both had been thinking about their mom (Bobbie Spencer) a lot and knew she would hate them fighting over Sonny.

Lucas kinda extended an olive branch when he said Bobbie never walked away because of Sonny, but then he went on. Without acknowledging anything hurtful he may have said during their previous arguments, he felt Carly had said some really condescending and dismissive things about his relationships with Brad and Marco. She acknowledged it and apologized, but then, Lucas patronizingly said he realized it was easier for her to lash out at him than to admit she was wrong about Sonny.

Surprisingly, Carly didn’t get defensive and sat to talk with him longer. She restated her intentions to keep Sonny as a part of her life, but apologized again for anything hurtful she said when she lashed back at him. Lucas accepted the apology but maintained his judgment of Sonny and Carly’s acceptance of him. He said he still intended to move out because it was time. In the end, Carly gave him back his house key to use for holidays or anytime he wanted to stop by.

As Carly was leaving the hospital, she ran into Willow and Chase in the hallway. She attempted to walk past, but Willow stopped her and asked to talk for a minute. Willow apologized for showing up at the house the night of the wedding and for not listening to Carly’s warnings about Drew. Carly said she heard it before, from Willow’s sister, Nelle, who apologized for so many things but never meant it. She vowed not to fall for it again and added she was not the one Willow needed to be apologizing to anyway.

Curtis asked Portia to join him at the Metro Court restaurant. She wondered if the dinner was a “celebration” or the “Last Supper”. Still unaware that Drew is playing him, he said it was a celebration because Drew wanted a truce. Portia remained very skeptical and cautioned they should keep their “eyes open and ears to the ground”. Moving on, she asked if he was now willing to fight for their marriage.

Curtis said he was there to fight for them and find their way back to each other. Portia acknowledged the fear that led to her bad decisions, but felt they could emerge from everything stronger than they were before. He said, through all of the chaos, he realized he was still very much in love with her. Even further, he commended the courage and bravery she showed in standing up to Drew. They toasted to the people they were now and the future they had together.

At another table, Tracy met with Marco and Sidwell to inform them that a portion of Sonny’s investment in Deception was laundered money. Sidwell sarcastically replied that he was shocked and said he thought Sonny would be more careful than that. She went on to let them know Deception cut ties with Sonny and returned his initial investment. As “good corporate citizens,” she said they would be obliged to turn the information they had over to the police, but Sidwell said she couldn’t.

Tracy made it clear she wasn’t asking his permission but showing him a courtesy he didn’t even deserve since he pulled his support of Measure C. ADA Turner interrupted, asking to speak with Marco privately. When they tried to dismiss her, she proceeded to proclaim that Marco’s statement about Sonny was a fabrication and asked why he was protecting him. Marco reminded her that she had his signed statement, and that’s what he was going with.

After Turner left, Tracy surmised that Sidwell pulled out of Measure C because Sonny made him, but he assured him that he would still be very useful behind the scenes. Tracy still planned to turn over Natalia’s files to the police, but Marco and Sidwell cautioned with great detail how she could lose Deception because she’d already held on to the information for too long. In the end, Tracy said, “You’ll have to forgive me if I don’t take advice from a man who lives in a faux medieval fortress and associates with Lucy Coe.”

After Tracy left, Marco and Sidwell acknowledged they both ended up covering for Sonny but it was clear they were bonded in their mission to take him down. As they toasted, Sidwell remarked, “Not to worry. I have something special lined up. And when I launch this weapon, I won't miss.”

He said he set it up to make it look like Sonny bribed Judge Heran in Michael and Willow’s custody hearing. If “discovered”, the ruling would be thrown out, Willow would gain the upper hand, and Sonny would lose Michael. If Sonny wanted to avoid the damage, he would not have any choice but to fall in line with what Sidwell wanted. Marco asked his father why he hadn’t used it already to which he replied, “timing is everything”. Interestingly, Marco seemed neither surprised nor bothered by his father’s actions of using Sonny’s kids and grandkids to get to him.

Jason and Sonny sat by the window at the Metro Court pool after their softball game. They won thanks to Rocco’s double, but Sonny was curious where Jason’s head was today because he’d never seen him miss a fly ball before. Jason said it was with Britt and told him about seeing her at the airport and hearing her on the phone. He was now confident Britt was alive, but didn’t plan on doing anything because he wanted to honor Britt’s choice “to vanish from this world”.

Sonny reminded Jason that Britt thought he died “under a pile of rocks in Greece” and might want to know he was alive. Going from the restaurant to the pool, ADA Turner interrupted their conversation to congratulate them on winning the softball game, which she accused him of rigging. Turner and Sonny engaged in an odd, semi-flirtatious banter about their upcoming softball game, which was filled with innuendo, double entendres, and vague accusations. After Turner left, Sonny confided in Jason that he was purposely engaging her in public because it could look like she was being biased when she eventually presented a case against him.
