Jordan met with Laura at her mayoral office. After all of these weeks, she still had no information to offer Laura about Sidwell. Laura felt someone had to be helping Sidwell hide his transgressions, and Jordan thought he was running the illegal side of his business through his son, Marco.

Jordan said it was hard to get proof because there was a lot that Sidwell didn’t let her in on. She felt she was going to have to do something to prove herself trustworthy to get any closer to him. Laura reminded her of the need to be cautious because Jordan no longer had a badge to fall back on, and she may not have enough power to protect her.

After Jordan left, Anna arrived with Outback. They were reviewing what they knew and believed about Sidwell, the fire at Charlie’s, and Marco. Before they could get too far, a woman barged in demanding to meet with Laura about Anna. It was Mabel, the president of the HOA of Anna’s building, who claimed the dog was devaluing her property. Anna hid Outback on the couch, but when Mabel played a recording of her barking, Outback started to bark. Mabel left with the demand that Laura do something about Anna. Laura had to tell Anna she would have to find somewhere else for Outback to live.

Drew found Sidwell at an outside café to tell him he needed whatever Sidwell had against Sonny. Sidwell knew Drew was going to try to use Sonny to get to Michael, but said he couldn’t help. Drew said he wasn’t asking, but demanding that he give him information he could use against Sonny, or he would make his life very difficult. Sidwell asked Drew if he was threatening him.

Before they could go further, Lucy arrived to meet with Sidwell. After Drew left, she said she had good news about Deception to celebrate. Having thought it was just going to be the two of them, she was disappointed when he said Jordan was going to join them. She let him know she was interested in spending more time with just the two of them.

After Jordan arrived, Lucy shared the news about Deception getting their financial mess straightened out. She didn’t use Sonny’s name, but Sidwell did. When she said they voted not to take their financial information to the police, Sidwell asked who voted for and who voted against. Lucy may have inadvertently put Maxie in his crosshairs by letting him know that Maxie, the daughter of the police chief, was the one who voted against.

At the hospital, Elizabeth gave Ric performance records and a list of character witnesses to help Willow’s case. Elizabeth was, again, commending Ric for taking the case pro bono when Ava walked in. She interrupted them to give Elizabeth a garage opener for Lucas, who was now going to stay with Ava before finding his own place.

After Elizabeth walked off, Ric and Ava had a short, awkward conversation. She did invite him to go to the Metro Court pool with her, but he said he was too busy prepping for Willow’s visitation appeal. As Ric attempted to kiss Ava goodbye, Elizabeth interrupted and told Ric that Deanna had agreed to be a character witness for Willow. As Ric and Elizabeth began to talk again, Ava walked off and texted Cody to ask if he was busy.

Elizabeth got a text from Jake, who was now hiking the fjords in Norway with Lucky and Aiden. She showed Ric the picture Jake sent and shared her wish to be able to paint every picture he sent her. Ric hoped, one day, she would be able to take a sabbatical from GH and have time to paint, and even thought she’d be able to find a benefactor or patron.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Martin danced out of his physical therapy session and saw Stella in the hallway. He talked about needing a couple of more sessions, but the insurance coverage ran out. Stella told him to get a statement from his physical therapist saying he needed more sessions so she could use it to fight the insurance company. He reiterated what an angel she was, but when he went on to complain about Tracy, she reminded him that Tracy was her friend — a fact he said was more proof of her “Olympian generosity of spirit”.

Later, Stella got Elizabeth’s signature for documentation of a patient’s use of medication. The two talked about how frustrating it was to deal with insurance and get patients the coverage they needed.

Kristina and Alexis were at the Metro Court restaurant waiting for Molly. Alexis let Kristina know her plan seemed to be working because Ava and Ric were starting to turn on each other. She went on to tell Kristina about Ava’s plan to get one final $1.5 million payment behind Ric’s back. Kristina apologized, again, for putting Alexis in the position to be blackmailed. They also talked about Kristina going to therapy again.

Kristina regretted that her plan was coming between Molly and Cody, whom she felt truly liked. When Molly arrived, Alexis said she had a plan for Scout, which she wanted to run by the two of them. The viewer doesn’t know what the actual plan is yet, but Kristina and Molly thought it was a good one, and all three agreed they needed to have more time with Scout. Alexis didn’t want them to see her grovel, so Kristina and Molly said they would go to the pool while Alexis went to Drew’s table to talk with him about her plan.

After leaving Sidwell, Drew was at the bar to meet Martin. For a second time, Martin unwittingly gave Drew potential ammunition for the future by talking about Stella helping him with the insurance. Acting increasingly agitated, Drew told Martin he needed to figure out how they were going to get Willow custody of her kids.

Drew said he would pay Martin’s lawyer fees for him to help Willow. Martin thought she was already being represented by Ric, but said he would represent her if she was amenable. He also cautioned that it was going to be tough and said Willow needed to stop exhibiting erratic behavior. Martin tried his best to get Drew to see the reality of the situation, but Drew remained undeterred. If Martin couldn’t find anything on Michael, Drew wanted him to find something on Sonny.

Alexis interrupted, which Martin welcomed, and he headed toward the bar. She started by asking if she, Molly, and Kristina could take Scout to the ballet in New York in September. Before she could go any further, Drew said Scout was going to be with him in D.C. that day because they would be looking at schools.

Martin went to the bar to meet with Ric, who retained him for personal legal counsel. Ric told him he wanted to extricate himself from a partnership he entered into with Ava. He wanted to sever all ties with Ava, and it had to be legal, airtight, and a secret to Ava until the last possible moment.

At the Metro Court pool, Felicia ran into Cody and invited him to Mac’s upcoming big barbecue. When Cody realized Molly would likely be there too, he told Felicia to take him off the list because she was furious at him. In the end, he agreed to come anyway.

At the other end of the pool, Gio was reviewing plans with Emma for breaking into Dalton’s lab. A frustrated Anna was dragged in by Outback, who barked so loudly at home that she was afraid to leave her because the apartment building didn’t allow dogs. Emma and Gio were going to be busy, so it ended up being a take-your-dog-to-work day for Anna.

Before she left, Anna met Felicia at the other side of the pool and let her know she felt strongly that Emma was going to make a move against Dalton tonight. On her way out to meet with Laura, Anna made a call to talk to the fire chief and asked if he knew the last time Oden Hall at PCU was inspected.

Later, Ava ran into Trina before meeting with Cody at the pool. Cody quickly put his charm to work. They were sunbathing when Ava got hot and started sensually rubbing ice cubes over her arm and chest. As she turned to rub ice on Cody’s chest, Kristina walked in, but quickly left to stop Molly before she made it to the pool. Cody kissed Ava.

Trina joined Emma. After relaxing for a bit, Trina let Emma know Josslyn texted her about Dalton’s assistant job. Emma started to dismiss Joss’ opinion, but Trina told her how much she trusted her. She said if Joss really thought Dalton was a problem, Emma should really think twice about taking the job.

Emma got a call telling her the lecture had been cancelled. A bit later, she angrily told Gio the lecture was cancelled because the hall didn’t pass fire code, and immediately guessed her grandmother was behind it. She became more determined than ever to get into the lab.

Sonny arrived at the Quartermaine mansion to see Brook Lynn. She wanted to talk to him about Deception and Rocco. She admitted it was her fault that Rocco found out about Britt. Sonny let her off the hook and told her Rocco was tough and doing fine, but then said it sounded like she actually wanted Rocco to find the file.

She said, at first, she wanted him to, but changed her mind. She claimed Lulu did all the digging about Gio for the sole purpose of hurting her, and so she wanted to hurt her back. But, she swore on her son’s life that she did not leave the file out for Rocco to find. They went on to talk about Deception. She was happy to tell him they weren’t going to take the information to the police, and Sonny apologized, saying he would never knowingly expose her or the company to anything illegal.
