What Happened on General Hospital?

This week on General Hospital, the fallout from Willow’s ongoing trial continued to ripple across Port Charles. Alexis prepared for the next phase of the case as Portia was formally subpoenaed to testify, raising immediate concern for Curtis and Trina. At the PCPD, Brad and Britt were brought in after being caught dining and dashing, an incident that escalated tensions but ultimately ended with Jason stepping in to cover the bill and secure their release (along with a generous tip for the jilted waiter). Britt remained frustrated by her professional limbo, while Brad worried that his past mistakes would once again cost him stability. Elsewhere, Nina and Ava met at the Metro Court to address the strain in their friendship. Both acknowledged that Portia’s actions and the trial had contributed to the rift, but agreed to try to move forward together. Curtis and Jordan had a separate conversation in which they admitted their relationship could not continue without causing further damage to Trina, leaving both resigned but clear-eyed about their decision. Tracy offered Cody blunt advice about his situation with Molly, urging him to stop hedging and take responsibility for his feelings. Alexis’ family surprised her with a Christmas tree, prompting several low-key conversations about Sam and the personal cost of the trial as the holiday approached. Jason later crossed paths again with Britt and Brad, refusing at first to help Brad financially before ultimately paying their bill and insisting that Brad start taking accountability for his actions. Kristina and Danny encouraged Molly to be honest with herself about Cody, with Danny explaining that guys often need things spelled out for them. Meanwhile, Portia confided in Isaiah about her fears surrounding Trina, the trial, and her own professional future. Gio worked to make peace with Dante and Rocco ahead of Lulu’s tree-trimming party, which brought several families together under strained circumstances. Laura and Sonny agreed to be buffers between Dante and his boys if tensions started to rise. During the gathering, Sonny and Laura privately discussed Jenz Sidwell and their growing concerns about safety in Port Charles. The evening ended with several emotional moments, including Rocco apologizing publicly for almost costing Laura the election with his laboratory adventure; Emma and Gio sharing a kiss under the mistletoe; Curtis reaffirming his commitment to Jordan despite their breakup; and Portia being served papers officially calling her to testify. The next day, Chase took the stand on Willow’s behalf and criticized the PCPD’s handling of the case, admitting he believed Willow was arrested prematurely. His testimony led to a confrontation with Dante and resulted in Chase being suspended, leaving Brook Lynn worried about his future. Portia then testified and admitted to falsifying Heather Webber’s medical records in the past to protect Trina, as well as being blackmailed by Drew. In a devastating turn, she revealed she was with Isaiah on the night Drew was shot. The revelation shattered Trina, who immediately distanced herself from her mother, and left Curtis reeling as he struggled to reconcile Portia’s actions with the person he believed her to be. After the court adjourned for the holidays, Drew confronted Alexis in anger, accusing her of manipulating the proceedings. ADA Turner later confirmed that allegations of extortion against Drew would be reviewed, raising the stakes further. Tensions flared between Martin and Tracy, leading Laura to pressure Martin into apologizing for his behavior. Brook Lynn continued to worry about Chase’s suspension and the long-term impact on their future together. Alexis received an anonymous letter stating that Michael was at Drew’s house the night of the shooting and that Tracy saw him there, introducing a new and potentially explosive angle to the case. On Christmas Eve. Britt learned that her medical license had been reinstated, marking a major professional victory just as she was bracing for further conflict. Nathan and Cody scrambled to secure a Christmas gift for James after realizing their original plan had fallen through. Portia was formally suspended from the hospital pending investigation, leaving her isolated as she faced the consequences of her testimony. Trina apologized to Jordan during a family gathering, realizing that Jordan wasn’t the reason Curtis and Portia broke up. Sonny counseled Dante, urging him to remain present for Rocco despite the tension between them and the complications brought on by Lulu’s return. Valentin secretly decorated a Christmas tree in Carly’s attic as he thought about Charlotte. Donna soon crept into the attic looking for a ribbon, but Valentin hid from her. Later that night, Carly brought Charlotte to her house, where the young woman secretly reunited with Valentin. Jack privately ordered a move against Britt, unaware that her medical license had already been restored and that his leverage over her was slipping. Throughout the evening, smaller moments unfolded across Port Charles. Britt shared the news of her reinstated license with her family, while Gio attempted to reconnect with music after weeks of uncertainty. Molly came through for Cody by picking up the saddle he had ordered for James, which was almost delayed for Christmas. Alexis spent the evening quietly processing the implications of the anonymous letter, understanding that its contents could dramatically alter the direction of Willow’s trial. The day after Christmas, Alexis continued working on the trial despite Molly and Kristina's urging her to take a break. Elsewhere, Drew was on the phone with Martin, asking for immediate strategies to spin Portia’s testimony so he wouldn’t appear to be an extortionist. During that call, Scout and Willow bonded as Willow looked at gifts for her children and admitted feeling guilty. Scout confided that she was sad because she bought presents for her family, but didn’t know if she would be able to give them to them. Lucas prepared to celebrate Boxing Day with Marco and Sydwell. Sonny showed up at Laura’s to help celebrate Christmas and was relieved to see Rocco in good spirits, later confirming to Laura that what they did with Dalton’s body was the best thing for everyone. Kevin expressed his gratitude to Sonny for helping Laura with the situation. At Sydwells’, Lucy arrived for a meal only to discover Ava was already there. Ava later agreed with Lucas that Pascal was kind of creepy. Soon after, she warned Lucy that Sidwell was an important client and she wouldn’t let Lucy get in her way. Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy told Cody she wanted to revive the tradition of Boxing Day as a reset after Christmas, only for Olivia to turn it into a holiday bake-a-thon. Alexis worried that if she didn’t exonerate Willow, Drew would take Scout to D.C. Willow tried to encourage Drew to let Scout visit Alexis. Ned welcomed Sonny to the Quartermaine mansion. He and Sonny hinted they were hiding a secret about a package meant for Gio; that surprise nearly unraveled when Leo found a new violin and told Ned he hadn’t given Gio his present yet. Cody arrived at Alexis’ house and soon invited Molly to ring in the new year with him, leading to another kiss. Sonny and Ned explained to Leo that they wanted to wait to give Gio the violin until he was ready to play again. Since the family was still mourning Monica, Leo suggested Gio might soothe everyone by playing something. Gio walked into the foyer with the instrument and was overcome with emotion, but Brook Lynn followed and comforted him. He then wonderfully played “O Holy Night” for the family. Tracy told Gio his playing was beautiful and pulled him into a hug. Cody sat on the couch with the Davis women and wept while watching a sad romance movie. Everyone smiled and hugged Scout as Willow brought her to Alexis’.
