What happened on General Hospital

Jason helped Britt into her apartment because she was too drunk to function properly. She told him he didn't have to stay there, but she collapsed into his arms. He promised not to leave her in the compromising condition he had witnessed. Britt's phone kept ringing, and she demanded privacy, so she ordered him to remain in the hall. He agreed to stand in the entryway, so she closed the door in his face to see what the alert was. However, it was for her nighttime medicine, which she promptly ignored.
Jason heard Britt fall to the floor, so he raced back in to help her. She broke down into a full crying fit, and he walked her back to her bed. Jason presented her with the medicine and asked for the dose so he could help her take it. She was far too shaky and unsteady to inject the medicine, so Jason had to administer it. After he put Britt into her bed, he set himself up in her chair so he could watch over her.
Josslyn returned to her apartment, and it woke Trina up, because she was lurking in the dark to avoid interrupting her and Kai. Josslyn said Thanksgiving was bizarre between her, Jack, and Carly, and although she tried to make a quick escape, Trina encouraged her to stay. She revealed that she recently slept with Vaughn, but Trina didn't see the issue. However, she hadn't heard from him since their hookup occurred. Josslyn received a text from Jack demanding her presence in his office, so she made up a story and took off.
Kai asked Trina how things went with Josslyn, and despite whatever Josslyn was going through, Trina was equally stressed. She believed everything was better with Kai by her side, especially the ongoing saga involving Curtis and Portia's potential involvement in Drew's shooting.
Carly was pleased with the easy cleanup from a small Thanksgiving. He asked her if she was doing okay, and he wondered if he'd done something to make her holiday less special. He recalled how she had a house full of people the prior year, so a lot had changed in Carly's life. Jack worried that he was the reason there were so few people present for the holiday. Carly assured him that wasn't the case; it was just everyone being busy.
Jack wanted to ensure that he'd never force any issues between her and the rest of her loved ones. The biggest hurdle was Jason, who went out of his way to avoid Jack at all costs. He wondered who could've been missing from the festivities that had Carly in a slump. She revealed that it was her brother, Lucas, but she placed the blame on herself because he decided not to show.
Carly held off on apologizing to her brother for her previous grievances against his personal life. She worried she had gone too far and pushed him even further away. As much as Jack wished he could stay with Carly, work called him away. She understood that his work superseded the holiday, so she agreed to let him leave. Carly kept her composure until Jack left, but once she was gone, she broke down and recalled her visit to Valentin.
Lucas greeted Felicia at the hospital, and she told him she had visited Maxie at the clinic. Felicia was thankful that Lucas helped her pick out the facility for her daughter's long-term care. He encouraged her to hold on to hope because no change in her condition was a good thing. Carly dropped by the hospital and expressed her hope that Maxie would get well soon. Lucas was visibly uncomfortable at his sister's arrival, but Felicia noticed and left them to it.
Carly offered her brother a leftover piece of pie, but he declined. She tried to defend her actions, but it wasn't helpful because he felt betrayed. However, Lucas was glad that Carly spoke her mind because now he understood how she truly felt about his relationship. Carly worried that Marco was another example of the person he loved lying to him and eventually hurting him.
Lucas admitted that his relationship with Brad was a disaster, but he didn't feel the same about Marco. He refused to fight with Carly, knowing he couldn't convince his sister to support his relationship. What he did need was her acceptance that he wasn't going anywhere. He demanded space between them, and she turned that into reality. Felicia returned after Carly left and gave a speech about Bobbie's capacity for forgiveness, encouraging him not to give up on his sister.
Sidwell stopped by Sonny's house, and his guards confirmed that he wasn't armed. He wanted to clarify things before Sonny decided to take him out. He assumed Sonny wondered the reason for his late-night holiday visit, but first, he went through a list of reasons Sonny had to kill him. He handed Sonny the drone photo of him and Laura standing in front of her trunk with Dalton's body inside.
Sonny joked that the photo was blurry, but Sidwell knew he could be placed at the crime scene by Nathan. Sidwell pointed out how the picture showcased a conspiracy to commit murder, but there was no physical evidence tying them to the murder. Sidwell saved Sonny the trouble of wondering what he wanted, so he cut to the chase; he wanted the piers, and he required Sonny's complete cooperation.
It didn't make sense to Sonny to sell the piers to Sidwell after their highly public disagreements over the property. Sidwell tried to explain it away, and he told them that the photos and the gun would be delivered to the police with Laura's DNA on it if they took out him or Marco. Sonny threatened to leave the country to evade law enforcement, but Sidwell knew he wouldn't betray Laura. After Sidwell left, Sonny's phone rang, and it was Laura filling him in on the blackmail, unaware that he already knew.
Laura received a knock at the door, and it was Cyrus, seemingly haunting Laura in his dreams. She didn't think it was possible because he was dead, but he told her he had decided to show up to gift her the murder weapon that killed Dalton. He encouraged her to turn herself in to the police and confess to the murder. Cyrus told Laura that she had nothing to fear if she had nothing to hide. He urged her to take responsibility, and Esme appeared on the staircase, demanding the same.
Esme claimed that Ace wasn't in his bedroom because Laura was unfit to take care of him. Cyrus was pleased that he and his sister were a lot alike, and pointed at Laura, who noticed the murder weapon in her hand. However, she woke up, realizing it was nothing more than a vicious nightmare. Kevin returned home, and she told him everything about Sidwell's visit and the photo evidence.
Kevin was heartbroken that his wife was going through these extreme levels of stress. She told him about the nightmare involving Cyrus and Esme, and he explained that her subconscious was manifesting in her dream state. She had a lot to consider about coming forward. Laura worried about what would happen to Ace if she turned herself in and couldn't prove her innocence. However, there were other factors to consider. There was no way to explain herself to the police without implicating Sonny, and the PCPD would have a difficult time believing he wasn't guilty.
Kevin worried that Laura would be left with a massive burden, but she was certain that she wasn't the only one being blackmailed. Laura recognized that Sidwell would do the same to Sonny, and his demands for him would be far worse.m
Jack confronted Josslyn about giving Emma and Gio the address to Dalton's second lab. However, she defended the decision to protect the suffering animals. Jack accused her of violating protocol and threatened to have her transferred for continuing her relationship with Vaughn in secret. He explained that Vaughn was ordered not to contact her again and that he had ordered her to keep it that way, or she'd be transferred out of the country. He started to explain why she hadn't been sent away yet, and she responded with, "Because you're sleeping with my mother."
Jack and Josslyn argued over whether the secrets she leaked about her family had anything to do with national security. She knew that they needed to get their hands on the technology that Sidwell had. Josslyn believed that it was to destroy it, but he insisted that they would use it for themselves. He told her everything was classified, and she argued that the secrecy was detrimental to her job.
Jack got a call, and he panicked at whatever he heard. Carly was shown at home, alone, and the moment she turned around, it was Valentin, freshly escaped from prison.
