In the courtroom, Jacinda did her best to dodge Alexis' question about exactly where she was when Drew was shot. She remembered having a great time with Michael, but the rest of the night seemed fuzzy. Alexis asked Jacinda if, as a businesswoman, she would keep track of her professional appointments.

Finally, Alexis asked Jacinda point-blank if Ezra was lying about being with her the night of the shooting. Jacinda was silent, so Alexis asked the question a different way. Finally, Jacinda said, "I was with Ezra Boyle."

Michael looked agitated as Dante glanced back at him, while Drew looked smug. Justine didn't even choose to cross-examine Jacinda. When Jacinda walked from the stand to the door, she gave Michael a sad and apologetic look before leaving the courtroom.

Alexis then recalled Tracy to the stand. She asked her if she remembered anything new about what went on outside Drew's house the night he was shot. Tracy could see that Alexis had a folder labeled "Personal Home Security Footage" in her hand.

When Alexis asked if Tracy saw Michael outside Drew's house, Tracy felt compelled to say "yes," or she would be enjoying her first jail stint of 2026. Alexis had no further questions, leaving Tracy perplexed. Dante just looked super annoyed as he glanced at Michael once again.

Justine cross-examined Tracy and got her to admit that, due to the rain, visibility was bad, so she could have been mistaken and not seen Michael at all. Alexis called Michael to the stand next. Tracy whispered, "I'm sorry," to Michael as she left the courtroom.

Michael admitted to being on Crestview Lane the night of the shooting. However, he adamantly stated that he did not shoot Drew Cain. Alexis also established that Michael lives at the Q estate and would easily have access to the weapon used to shoot Drew.

Alexis finally asked the ultimate question: "How do you feel about your Uncle Drew?" Michael replied, "I hate him." Alexis also asked if Michael had kept Willow from seeing her kids. Michael said that was the judge's decision, and he wasn't going to violate a court order.

Alexis then brought up the confrontation that Michael and Drew had at the Metro Court in front of Wiley. "Yes, I was upset that a grown man would stoop so low as to intentionally upset a child," Michael explained. "My children aren't safe around him, so I don't want him anywhere near them."

"Do you think Congressman Cain is a danger to your kids?" Alexis asked. Michael said he did. "And you'd do anything to protect your kids, wouldn't you?" she queried.

When Justine cross-examined, she showed Michael the gun and asked him if he had taken it from Edward's gun cabinet. Michael said he had not and that he had no idea the gun was missing until the cops searched the estate. Michael also told the court that the key to the cabinet was accessible to every adult in Tracy's house.

Michael then explained that he had met Jacinda at the Port Charles Grille that night, where they talked about his kids, as well as Judge Heron's death, and now it would affect the visitation hearing. He then told the jury that he headed to Drew's house so that he'd keep his distance from Willow because he wanted her to see the kids.

As Michael said that a call from Wiley with his special ringtone stopped him from going in the house, an alarmed Kai and Trina looked at one another. "I heard my son's ringtone, and I thought to myself, what am I doing here, standing in the rain like an idiot. I realized talking to Drew wasn't going to change anything," Michael said. After that, he decided to just leave.

Justine finally asked if Michael shot Drew Cain. He looked right at the jury and said, "No, I did not." After Michael was excused from the stand, he once again swore to Josslyn that he didn't shoot Drew. As for Drew, he was on cloud nine, thinking Alexis had an acquittal in the bag. Willow was afraid to get her hopes up.

Suzanne and Alexis conferred in a corner. Suzanne warned Alexis that some jurors did not look convinced. "Turner did a great job doing damage control when she questioned Tracy. And Michael helped himself by staying cool on the stand," Suzanne said.

Alexis had another ace up her sleeve (but not her nephew, Ace). She hoped her next witness would convince the jury that Michael was a more likely suspect than Willow. That is when her next witness walked in — Elizabeth. Liz told the court that Michael had spent enough time alone in her house to plant Edward's gun in Willow's room.

In the courthouse halls, Kai and Trina recalled hearing a child's ringtone and realized that they could not have heard it if Michael hadn't gone inside the house.

Dante left the courtroom and turned up at the PCPD after receiving a text. When Nathan appeared, Dante told him that Michael had been on Drew's street the night he was shot. He wanted to go over all the traffic cam footage from that night again. "I gotta admit to the possibility that my brother is the one who shot Drew," Dante sighed.

Dante explained to Nathan that he had been in denial about Michael due to the debt he owed him. He told a confused Nathan about when he advised a teenage Michael to tell the truth in court as a teen, but ended up behind bars instead, where his life was changed forever. "He's the man he is today, someone capable of murder, because of that prison experience," Dante said.

Dante blamed himself for what happened to Michael, as well as for turning a blind eye and possibly putting the case against Willow in jeopardy. Dante then noticed Nathan with evidence from a random crime scene. He was surprised to hear that Nathan had that evidence in his car when he visited Lulu. That meant that Nathan broke procedure, which was unlike him. Nathan admitted he was still rusty.

Lulu was surprised to see Nathan at her front door. She was expecting him that night, but he needed to talk now. Nathan told Lulu that Charlotte left school hours ago when she was supposed to be at a drama club meeting. Lulu was relieved to know that Charlotte was at the Quartermaines.

Nathan informed Lulu that Charlotte's guard wasn't allowed past the gate, so nobody knew what she was really doing on the Q estate. Lulu admitted she was disappointed that Charlotte would take such a risk.

Just then, Charlotte walked in. When she saw that Nathan was there, she asked if there was any news about my dad. "No, Nathan is here to talk about the little stunt you pulled this afternoon," Lulu told her daughter.

Charlotte explained that she just wanted to hang out with Danny. "Yeah, at the Quartermaines, where you know Tracy wouldn't let Jeffers in," Nathan pointed out. Charlotte said she needed a break because she was tired of someone following her around all the time.

"Officer Jeffers is just doing his job. It's not fair to him that you are making his job harder," Lulu said.

After Nathan left, Lulu made Charlotte promise to update her if she did anything that veered from her schedule. Charlotte said she understood what it was to worry about someone you loved, promising not to worry her mother again. Lulu understood how worried Charlotte was about Valentin.

After Charlotte went to her room, Lulu was finally ready to relax with some tea when Tracy arrived, frantic after her recent court appearance. "I promised Monica that I would take care of the family, and I've already blown it," Tracy lamented. She told Lulu about how Alexis had footage of Drew's street from that fateful night, but Lulu asked if Alexis had shown her the footage.

Eventually, Lulu realized that Alexis had tricked Tracy, outraging her former stepmother. "I may have set Willow free and made Michael the prime suspect," Tracy cried. She made Lulu promise to help her find out who tipped off Alexis about Michael's whereabouts.

Upstairs, Charlotte texted Danny to thank him for his help. "Don't worry, we'll find a way to help your dad," he texted back.

When Carly realized that Valentin planned to leave her humble home, she told him she wasn't going to let him take Charlotte and disappear. Valentin assured Carly that he had no intention of putting Charlotte in harm's way, but that was why he had to leave. "Charlotte came to see me today," he said.

Carly was apoplectic after hearing that Charlotte didn't listen to Carly's insistence that she could never return to her attic. She regretted ever bringing Charlotte there on Christmas. "I felt bad for her. I felt bad for you," she said. Valentin thanked Carly for letting him see his daughter and didn't blame her for Charlotte's most recent visit.

Valentin feared that his enemies would follow Charlotte and find him, despite the police escort. He also worried they would target Charlotte. Valentin thought that Carly would understand since Jack targeted Josslyn, but she said that wasn't the same as kidnapping, which is what Valentin feared.

Valentin didn't like that Carly seemed to be defending Jack. "He loves you, but that didn't stop him from using your daughter to get what he wants, and I have no doubt that he would use Charlotte the exact same way," Valentin insisted. "Even if there are lines that Jack won't cross, Sidwell will."

Carly was stunned to learn that Sidwell had threatened Ace. "He was letting Charlotte know that she could disappear, too," Valentin said. Carly admitted that she had planned to ask Valentin to leave, but after hearing what Valentin told her, she said he now had to stay.

Valentin's next plan was to reach out to Sidwell to help prove that Jack was the head of Pikeman, so he could exonerate himself. He also knew how dangerous a move that would be. Carly insisted that he stay in her attic till he figured out the details of his plan.
