Dante met with Lulu at Haven’s Bistro Coffee Shop. She was going to ask him for a favor - to get an interview with Sonny, but he stopped her before she could even ask. They briefly discussed the negative press Sonny was receiving and how it could impact Rocco. Dante felt the real reason Lulu asked to meet him was that she was worried about Rocco.

He tried to reassure her that Rocco was just going through a rough patch but had a good head on his shoulders and would be fine. Dante felt, as he processed everything, that he would understand that mistakes were made by everyone. Lulu agreed, except she thought Brook Lynn’s actions weren’t mistakes but deliberate actions.

Dante defended Brook Lynn, saying it was an accident and he believed she made an honest mistake. He said she felt terrible when Rocco found out the truth that way, and, in all fairness, all of the information was a matter of public record. When he acknowledged that he should have told Rocco sooner, Lulu told him it wasn’t his fault and that there was nothing wrong with waiting to find the right time, but it was his decision, not Brook Lynn’s, to make. He insisted that Brook Lynn hadn’t decided anything, hadn’t planned anything, and it was just an accident.

Taken aback by his insistence, Lulu said, “Dante, in a house where 97 people are currently living on top of each other, she left that file out in the open? Brook Lynn knew exactly what she was doing, and you’re giving her a pass just because she’s Gio’s mom.”

Somewhat condescendingly, Dante said he couldn’t stop Lulu from feeling that way, and she could hold onto her anger, but he didn’t want to. She felt he wasn’t actually at peace with Brook Lynn, but was making excuses for her so it would help him with Gio. He said he didn’t see it that way.

Dante told Lulu she could be as angry with Brook Lynn as she wanted, but Brook Lynn was willing to sacrifice her relationship with Gio so that he could have one with him,so he thought Brook Lynn deserved a little grace for that. He went on to say they could either hold on to their grudges and pain or acknowledge everyone made mistakes and move on. Hating Brook Lynn wasn’t going to help Rocco, and it wouldn’t help Gio if he hates his mom, and “pointing the finger” might feel good in the moment, but it wouldn’t do anything to make them a family.

Lulu said Brook Lynn wasn’t her family, but Dante pointed out that, because of him, they kind of were family, even if they couldn’t stand each other. Lulu said he could try to compromise with Brook Lynn, but she couldn’t and wouldn’t on this.

Liesl Obrecht met with Rocco at the Bad Jen Café. She was excited to see him and how much he had grown. She started out very cordial, but showed a bit of her old self when she told Rocco, “It speaks highly of you that you do not content yourself with one version of the truth.”

She told Rocco that Britt carried him to term and she was the only mother he knew for the first seven months of his life, so it was natural he wanted to know about her now. “My Britta was a mess”, she started. She went on to say her Britta was brilliant, beautiful, and shrewd, with a great judge of character, but suffered from terrible people skills and a tendency to self-sabotage.

After she encouraged him to speak freely with her, Rocco reluctantly said he heard Britt was maybe not the best person, but he knew she was her daughter, and maybe she wouldn’t want to hear about that. Liesl said his concern was appreciated, but unwarranted because she’d heard it all before and had no illusions about who her daughter was.

She went on to say Britta was a messy, flawed woman, but she was also strong and determined and wasn’t imprisoned by the “useless social niceties that paralyze many women. She lived her life the way she wanted and never wasted her time wondering what the world thought about her.”

Rocco asked if that was why so many people hated her, to which Liesl responded, “The weak and narrow-minded misinterpreted her actions as ruthless, heartless, and selfish, but my Britta was special.” He said she also heard she was brave and loyal and thought, maybe, she was a better person than she thought she was. Liesl was surprised. When he shared what Jason told him about Britt, he said, “For someone with brain damage, Jason can be very wise.”

Liesl said it was good he was talking to other people who knew Britt and not just his parents, who she said were “quite biased.” Rocco said he didn’t think biased was the right word, but more angry, and thought they had a right to be. She agreed, but their anger kept them from giving any credit to Britta for raising him for the first seven months of his life.

Liesl said it was good to talk about Britta, whom she missed very much, but she also wanted to learn more about him. Rocco needed to leave for work, but asked how long she was going to be in town. When she said for a while, he asked if they could meet again soon.

At her Crimson office, Nina was staring at the latest Aurora story, “How My Dream Marriage to Sonny Corinthos became My Worst Nightmare,” when Sonny showed up and asked why she lied to the press about him. She immediately apologized and let him know Tracy was blackmailing her.

She didn’t share what info Tracy had, but said she had to cooperate in order to protect her fragile family. Sonny understood, then asked if there was anything else coming down the pike he should know about. She let him know there was a second part of her interview with the Port Charles Press, which was going to be released soon. It was going to be about his “questionable mental state.”

Nina said the interviewer asked her questions about his erratic behavior, his medication, and what he was like off his meds. She apologized, saying she didn’t know they were going to use her like that and that it would be that bad. Sonny told her it wasn’t on her, but on Tracy, who had had it out for him for a long time.

Nina warned him to be more careful, because now Tracy felt she was protecting Gio from being in harm’s way because of Sonny. He admitted Tracy wasn’t wrong and was still rattled from Gio’s visit the other day. Acknowledging that he and Tracy were both scared for Gio, he still had no intention of letting her get in his way and told Nina what Tracy didn’t realize was that Sidwell was using her fear.

Later, after she left the café, Liesl stopped by to see Nina. Because she hadn’t heard from her in a while, Liesl figured Nina’s life was in shambles and said she was there to save her. Liesl asked what trouble she’d gotten herself into now and how much family mess she should be expecting to clean up.

Josslyn arrived early at the Metro Court pool to meet Dalton for work. He was distracted looking at a woman sitting by the pool and told Josslyn he wanted to get a swim in before they started. Joss said she would be working at the table. As he got in the pool, the woman stared at the backpack Dalton had left by his chair. Joss texted Vaughn to get to the pool ASAP because something was about to go down.

When Danny brought her a drink, Joss told him the woman was a really good tipper and to give her special attention. Danny was asking the woman if she wanted something to drink while Dalton got out of the pool and exchanged a knowing look with her. He went to sit with Joss, who informed him that the journal publishing his article was requesting minor revisions. Joss watched as the woman headed toward Dalton’s backpack; Danny inadvertently got in her way, asking if she wanted a towel.

Dalton told Josslyn it wasn’t always going to be just answering his emails all summer, and the exciting work was going to start soon. He then said he had a meeting with the Dean and left to go get changed. As the woman stared at the backpack again, Danny brought her a complimentary yogurt parfait.

Josslyn got up and purposely dropped her sunglasses by Dalton’s backpack so she could stick a tracking device in it, but he walked up before she got the chance. He left again, allowing Joss to put the tracker in after all.

The woman tipped Danny $50 for his excellent service. She picked up the backpack on the way out, not knowing Josslyn was watching from the table, and Dalton was also watching from behind the curtain. Joss texted Vaughn that it was too late to come to the pool, and he needed to intercept at the secondary location.

After leaving Nina’s office, Sonny met Lulu at the pool. They discussed the damaging media coverage that was hurting Sonny — and Laura’s chances for reelection. Lulu encouraged Sonny to sell the piers or give them to the city, so he could remove them from the equation and take away Boyle and Drew’s power.

Sonny let Lulu know he had an offer for the piers, which he was not going to take. When she said there would be more offers giving him a chance to find the right buyer, Sonny told her he was dealing with it, and she needed to trust him to find a solution. She said she trusted him and was sorry for pressing so hard. He felt she wasn’t pressing and understood her being worried about Rocco and her mom. He said they were a lot alike because they both would do anything for their family.

Felicia met with Anna at her PCPD office. Anna was more convinced than ever that the WSB was running an OP in Port Charles and they had Professor Henry Dalton under surveillance. She said she doesn’t know why they’re doing it, but thought Vaughn was a field agent who was either working for or against the WSB.

Felicia continued to provide counterpoints to Anna’s suspicions, but ultimately Anna said there was no coincidence, but surveillance. She said Anna had great instincts, and she was probably right, but she needed to drop it now.

Felicia questioned how much of Anna’s quest was about Emma and how much it was about getting retribution on Brennan for ousting her from the WSB. She felt Anna didn’t need the trouble Brennan would bring right now. Anna conceded that maybe she should look at the OP as less of an agent and more of a grandmother. After Felicia left, Dante came to see Anna. She said she had a favor to ask that involved the WSB.

Jason flew with Sasha and Daisy to help them get settled in their new home out of the country. Sasha thanked Jason for believing in her and helping her keep Daisy safe. They discussed the current situation and safety concerns. Sasha thought it must be tough to go between Sonny’s world and the Quartermaines. Jason was glad he got to spend time in the house and with Monica, especially since she was having health issues. He acknowledged there were many years where Monica didn’t know where he was or if he was okay, which was hard on her. They agreed that Monica’s strength ran deep, and she loved them all so much. He was happy that Danny was able to have a relationship with her.

Jason and Sasha also talked about Tracy being difficult, but not as bad as she seemed. Jason even conceded that her having a point about some of his choices. He said he didn’t really see it before, but now, because of Danny, he is able to see it more.

Sasha said she knew that Jason would always stand by Sonny, but being the sole parent to Danny must have him looking at danger very differently. Whatever the circumstance, he felt it was his priority to do whatever it took to keep Danny safe.

Sasha complimented how well Jason was doing with Danny and how great Danny was, but said she got the feeling Danny was worried about Jason being lonely or unhappy. She told him that, in all the time she had known him, he’d always put everyone ahead of himself and asked if he ever stopped to think about what he wanted.

Jason appreciated Sasha looking out for him, but claimed he was fine. Still, Sasha felt he needed to be out there dating, telling him he was a really good guy who deserved to share that with someone. After they landed, they made their way to the house where they would be staying. Sasha knocked on the door to reveal a lovely surprise: Papa Robert answered the door!
