Here’s your General Hospital recap on what happened in Port Charles today, Friday, July 18, 2025.
What happened on General Hospital

At Robert and Holly’s house, Robert welcomed Sasha, Daisy, & Jason. Sasha went to change Daisy, leaving Robert and Jason alone. Knowing it would be awkward, Jason offered to leave, but Robert actually wanted to thank him.
Robert acknowledged how grateful he was for Jason stepping up for Robin decades ago — and for stepping up for his other daughter now. Jason talked about how hard it was for Michael to see Sasha and Daisy leave, but Michael knew Robert (whom he respected) would keep Sasha and Daisy safe.
Later, Sasha walked Jason out. Jason reassured her she would always have a home to come back to in Port Charles and to let him know if she ever needed anything. She began to cry a little and said she felt like she was losing her security blanket. Later, Robert said he was thrilled to spend time with Sasha and Daisy. She was emotional, expressing how good it felt that she had a dad to go to for help.
Josslyn and Vaughn, who were still pretending to be a couple, met at the airport. He confirmed the courier (the woman who took the backpack at the pool) checked out of the Metro Court and was on her way to the airport. They pretended to canoodle while they briefed each other on the situation. The courier went on the move, and Joss sprang into action.
Meanwhile, Dante was in the airport security room monitoring Gate 14 and the surrounding area. He saw Joss and Vaughn sitting together.
Vaughn purposely bumped into the courier as she walked by. While he distracted her with flirting, Joss walked by and slipped the tracking device into the backpack. (Apparently, she didn't leave the tracking device in the backpack yesterday after all.) After the courier left, Vaughn and Joss watched the tracking on their phones. They could see the courier on the move and confirmed she was on a flight to Paris (Charles de Gaulle Airport).
Coincidentally, Jason was at Charles de Gaulle Airport awaiting his flight home. When Jason was looking down at his phone, a flight to Croatia began to board, and a woman caught his attention when she quickly went by him. When he looked up, he caught a side glimpse of her as she was boarding and seemed to recognize that it was Britt Westbourne!
Carly met with Anna at her PCPD office. Anna asked how much she knew about Josslyn’s new boyfriend. Carly was a bit confused and asked her if she was talking about Vaughn, whom she wouldn’t exactly call Josslyn’s boyfriend. Carly was under the impression they were no longer seeing each other since their fight at the Metro Court pool on the 4th.
Anna let her know it wasn’t over and filled her in on what happened at the Brown Dog. She said she was interested because it involved Emma's future, but she really wasn't being direct about the situation, which confused Carly as to why she was there. When Carly said Vaughn was the first guy Joss had shown interest in since Dex died, Anna’s thinking seemed to shift a bit.
Anna talked about how hyper-focused Josslyn had been on finding Dex’s killer, whom she was convinced was Cyrus Renault, which was news to Carly because Joss never shared that with her. Carly understood why Joss would want to see Dex’s killer brought to justice, but was relieved Cyrus was presumed dead and couldn’t hurt anyone.
She told Anna she didn’t know how serious the thing with Vaughn was but guessed Joss was trying to throw herself into something so she didn’t have to sit and feel the loss of Dex. When she went on to talk about the positive effect of Joss’s last-minute, unplanned trip to Easter Island, Anna became more curious. The fact that the trip was unplanned and happened so quickly, along with Joss throwing herself into Dalton’s class and assistant position, immediately raised Anna’s suspicions. Confused and starting to get a little freaked out by Anna’s vagueness, Carly asked what was going on, but Anna still didn’t give her a straight answer.
As Carly was leaving, she thanked Anna for the heads-up regarding Josslyn and Vaughn, but also said she knew her kid. She said once Josslyn made her mind up about something, there was no talking her out of it. She had to make her own mistakes, for better or worse.
After Carly left, Anna called Dante for an update. He told her she was right about all the signs pointing to Vaughn being part of the WSB. As Dante was saying, she’d never guess who was helping him, Anna interrupted and said, “Josslyn Jax.”
Liesl and Nina were catching up at her Crimson office. Willow walked up as Liesl was telling Nina that she heard Willow’s life was falling apart. Nina tried to say Willow misunderstood what she heard, but Liesl went straight to the point. She was aware of Willow’s divorce and custody issues and wanted to know, “How did a devoted mother who carried her child to term while battling Stage 4 cancer manage to lose custody of her children?” Willow said it was because of their father.
She claimed Michael was not the man Liesl remembered or that she married, saying he was vindictive and cruel. Liesl said she remembered Michael to be a “steady, loving partner” during a time when she had little to no hope. Willow said she did have hope because of Liesl’s bone marrow donation and, also, because of Drew, who became her “hero” when he rescued Liesl from Greenland to bring her back to Port Charles.
Liesl asked, “Is that why you couldn’t resist his charms, or did you misread your own gratitude for affection?” Willow listed the many virtues she felt Drew had, saying they were why she fell in love with him. She then said Michael continued to punish her for falling in love with Drew.
Liesl suggested it might not have been such a good idea to move her kids in with Drew before she was actually divorced and Michael was in a burn unit. Willow became more defensive and went on to complain how Michael was worse than her and how unfairly the court treated her, even after she delivered his mistress’s baby. Nina actually took exception to that characterization and said Sasha was not Michael’s mistress.
Nina told them there had been threatening incidents involving Daisy, so Sasha and Daisy were leaving Port Charles. She said they assumed it was one of Sonny’s enemies trying to prove they could reach anyone, anytime. Willow looked uneasy and suspicious when Liesl said, “Using an infant to send a message? That is sick. I don’t care who it is or what the reason.” While both Nina and Liesl felt sorry for Michael having to say goodbye to his new baby, Willow’s smirk showed she was quite happy with the outcome.
She turned her back to get some water and hide the growing look of satisfaction on her face. Nina and Liesl were disturbed to see her reaction. A little later, she grabbed her wedding notebook and told Nina to thank Maxi for her. As soon as she left, Liesl closed the door and exclaimed, “Nina, there is something very wrong with your daughter!”
Liesl asked Nina if she saw the look on Willow’s face and the devilish smile across her lips when she said Sasha fled with her baby. Nina said she didn’t know what she saw, but Liesl told her she did not have the luxury of living in denial right now. They both saw that Willow was not the woman she was before. When Liesl said her actions were inexcusable, Nina laid all of the blame on Drew. “If Drew Cain is truly responsible for the metamorphosis your daughter has undergone, we must break the tie between them immediately”, Liesl declared.
Liesl understood it was hard to see your daughter for the good, bad, and the ugly and acknowledged it's what she had to do with Britta as well as what Britta had to do with her.
She told Nina she needed to try harder to get Willow to see the truth. Frustrated, Nina asked what she was supposed to do, to which Liesl replied, “There’s always an answer, liebchen. Drew must have a skeleton in that walk-in closet of his.” She said they needed to find something for leverage that would destroy the powerful hold Drew had on Willow.
Willow went to work at the hospital after Crimson. She left a voicemail for Michael. Sounding sweet and sympathetic, she said she knew how hard and painful it was to be separated from your child. Going on, she said she wouldn’t want that for him or any good parent, but now that he could see how awful it was, she asked, “Is there really no room for compromise?” Starting to cry, she said all she wanted was to see Wylie and Amelia again.
Portia went to see Curtis at his Aurora office. When he said she didn’t come home last night, she let him know she slept at the hospital. She wanted to get out of the Drew mess once and for all and said there were lines she would not cross. Portia told Curtis she planned to confess to altering Heather Webber’s test results to the GH medical board and accept whatever punishment she was given. She was ready to lose her medical license and, perhaps, face criminal charges not to spend one more day under Drew Cain’s thumb.
“Drew has definitely sunk to a new low. Now, he wants me to frame Michael”, she told him. She went on to say that Drew wanted her to alter Michael’s test results so it would look like he was abusing opioids. She recognized she had made some ill-advised choices as of late, but that didn’t change the fact that she was a good doctor who helped and healed people.
She acknowledged being a hypocrite because she had already altered Heather’s test, but Curtis said that was different because she was afraid for their daughter’s life. He went on to tell her she was an exceptional mother and doctor. Reflective, she felt she’d been scrambling at Brad’s mercy and then Drew’s and was now desperately treading water, trying not to drown.
She knew it was never going to be over and nothing would ever be enough for Drew, so she had finally reached her limit. “I’m not Drew’s puppet. I’m not his minion. I’m taking my power back. Drew Cain, he can go straight to hell.”
Portia said she wanted to let Curtis know what her plan was and, if he or Aurora needed to distance themselves, she understood. He said he was only worried about her as well as the effect her consequences could have on Trina. He wanted her to really think about how bad the consequences could be.
She expressed how suffocating the situation was and how, no matter what she did, people were going to get hurt. The real question for her was if she could live with herself. If she did what Drew was asking, then the answer would be no, and the woman Curtis married would be gone.
Portia declared, “I’m not okay with losing my medical license. I’m not okay with going to jail. And, I would rather die than break Trina’s heart. But, at least, she’ll see that her mother is standing up. At least, she’ll see that her mother refused to be small, you know. I mean, who is Drew Cain anyway? An empty man with a phony smile and a congressional seat? No, he doesn’t get to win.”
Curtis told Portia she was remarkable and agreed with everything she’d just said, but wasn’t sure about risking the extreme consequences. He wanted them to be strategic before she threw everything away she worked so hard for, and didn’t want her to go to the medical board unless she absolutely had no other options left.
