At the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Jason spotted Britt boarding a plane to Dubrovnik, Croatia. He attempted to get on the plane to see her, but the gate agent stopped him and said it was too late.

Jason finally had to board his plane home to Port Charles. As he sat, he reflected on some of his time with Britt – when they were on the run and when she was diagnosed with Huntington’s. He thought about when they made love as well as when he hurt her by marrying Carly. Finally, he recalled when she had to leave him when they were on the run (right before his presumed death) and he was holding the Chariot tarot card.

In Dubrovnik, Croatia, Britt was welcomed as she got out of a car. She said it was good to be back. She was still carrying the white canvas bag with five poppies on it, but it is unclear if it holds any significance.

Josslyn and Vaughn arrived at the WSB offices to find Brennan had already left for the day. Joss was still having a problem understanding how it was okay for a WSB supervisor to be dating an agent’s mom. Vaughn told her she needed to stay silent about it and stick to the assignment.

He reminded her of Brennan’s considerable power and pull by recounting how Brennan went from facing a ten-year sentence in Pentonville to Bureau Chief. “He was in a prison jumpsuit, complete with socks and sandals, and now he sits right there (pointed toward his Brennan’s chair)”, said Vaughn. She quickly realized Brennan could pretty much do whatever he wanted and get away with it.

Vaughn said, even if Brennan made up his own rules sometimes, they were lucky to have him as their boss, and he was the best there was. “Whatever compromises Brennan makes, a lot of very bad people are either locked up or six feet under because of him. The world is better off with him doing what he does”, he exuded. He concluded by telling Joss if she ever wanted a meaningful career with the WSB, then she did not want Jack Brennan as an enemy.

She agreed not to do anything, but he said she was distracted. He reminded her it wasn’t just their OP on the line, but their lives as well. Vaughn got a call telling him the courier didn’t stop in Paris, but got a connecting flight to Dubrovnik, Croatia (the same flight Britt was on).

Brennan came to see Carly at the Metro Court pool, which she thought had been booked for a private party. He surprised her by being the one who booked the pool for the two of them so they could spend some time together. They sat with their feet in the pool and drank champagne as they caught up.

Brennan could sense something was weighing on Carly. She shared her sadness about Sasha having to leave town with Daisy and was heartbroken, not knowing if they would ever see each other again. While filling him in on the details for why Sasha needed to leave, she expressed uncertainty about what had been happening with Daisy. Regardless, she said she couldn’t blame Sasha for protecting her baby and also admitted it had been hard for her not to call Brennan to fix everything.

When he asked why she didn’t, she said she didn’t want to take a chance for his and Sonny’s world to collide, and she didn’t want him to think she was taking advantage of or using him. Carly wanted him to know he was enough for her and didn’t have to magically solve all of her problems for her to want him in her life. Brennan told her, “If you are ever in doubt, ask. If I can’t help, I’ll say no.” He said, if something was wrong, he wanted her to come to him, even if all he could do was listen and, ultimately, wanted to be someone she could turn to.

Carly wished he could share his problems with her as well, but understood it wasn’t possible. Brennan lamented having to keep a wall up because of his work and said that's why he hadn’t tried to have personal relationships before. Now, he said, just being with Carly made things better. The two agreed that they saw a future together.

Dante arrived at Anna’s PCPD office. He was under the impression that Vaughn roped Josslyn into helping him, but Anna was pretty certain Brennan recruited her and Joss was now a WSB agent. Dante had a hard time believing his little sister was a spy, but Anna pointed out Josslyn was an adult and she was, in fact, younger than Joss when the WSB recruited her.

Anna said Brennan likely used Cyrus Renault to hook Josslyn in and also felt he actively helped her pursue him as well. Dante was not happy because it sounded like Brennan used Josslyn’s grief to his advantage to turn her into an asset.

Anna recounted how she was recruited into the WSB. Dante asked if she thought Josslyn had any idea what she was getting herself into. Anna said “no”, but neither did she in the beginning, and once you were in it, you were in it. She told him the WSB can fill a void and make you feel like your life has a purpose.

Anna explained how all of the pieces of the puzzle fell into place and, now, was certain they had Dalton under surveillance for doing something far bigger than illegal animal testing. She reiterated that, like Josslyn, she had no idea what she was getting herself into when she joined the WSB, but she’d like to think she did some good, even though it came at a great personal cost. Dante reflected on his short time with the WSB and the fact that it ended his marriage to Lulu and almost cost him his sanity, which he didn’t want for Josslyn.

They wondered what Carly would do if she found out. Anna said Brennan wouldn’t know what hit him, but she’d tried to warn Carly that he always had an agenda and wasn’t to be trusted. Dante asked if she thought Brennan used Carly to get to Josslyn, but Anna said she did not know. He felt Carly would want to know if that was a possibility, but said he wouldn’t say anything. As he was leaving, he said he understood why they couldn’t say anything now, but wondered if Anna would have wanted someone to come get her out of the WSB when she was Josslyn’s age.

Lucy and Brook Lynn were at the Home & Heart set preparing for their product segment with Flora (Susan Batte, ex-Luna Moody Holden on One Life to Live). Maxie was still in New York working on a distribution deal for Deception. Flora tried to help Brook Lynn overcome her camera nerves, but it reminded Brook Lynn of her mother, whom she hadn’t spoken to in a long time.

A bit later, Flora apologized if she said something to upset Brook Lynn, who let her know Lois would be stepping down as Deception’s spokesperson. Both of them anticipated needing to keep Lucy reined in during the segment.

Despite her good intentions, Lucy’s frenetic energy wasn’t doing much to calm Brook Lynn’s nerves either. Being at Home & Heart made Brook Lynn miss Lois and miss who they used to be. Later, Flora began her Flora’s Garden show and introduced the Deception segment. Right after they introduced Deception’s new Youth Truth rejuvenating serum, Lucy shocked Brook Lynn by bringing in Lois as a surprise.

Lois didn’t realize Brook Lynn wasn’t told about her coming and apologized in her ear. When Lucy asked BLQ if she was surprised, she said she didn’t know whether to hug Lucy or fire her.

Making her intentions to reunite them crystal clear, Lucy told Flora they should leave the mother and daughter to tell the audience about Deception’s new product. Even though it was difficult, Lois and Brook Lynn remained professional and pulled off a successful segment.

At the end, Flora came back on to let everyone know they completely sold out of Youth Truth. After the cameras stopped, Flora told Lois and Brook Lynn they had a rare kind of magic together and she hoped they’d come back soon. After Flora walked off, Brook Lynn scolded Lucy for her scheme, but Lucy said she did what she had to do for Deception and, more importantly, for the two of them. With her back to Lois, Brook Lynn ignored her as she talked and told Lucy this was her one and final warning – if she pulled anything else like it again, she would show her how much she learned from Tracy. She then turned and fired Lois and stormed off.
