Spinelli and Liesl took James to the hatchet range. Liesl relished in helping James hit the bullseye and offering him advice – “The key is to hone in on your target just as one does during the hunt. And never lose sight of anything you want to achieve.” Spinelli grew more disconcerted as he continued to watch them.

He texted Lulu, “Hatchet range. Now. Important.” Liesl briefly sat with Spinelli to catch up and asked why no one told her how out-of-control Willow had become. He said it was probably because they were trying to give Willow grace and mind their own business. Liesl believed Willow was not the weakling some believed her to be and remarked she had untapped potential within her, which wasn’t necessarily for good.

After Liesl left to take James to camp, Lulu arrived. Spinelli told her Liesl was in Port Charles. He didn’t know anything about her mentioning or talking to Rocco but wanted Lulu to know she was back. Lulu called Dante and asked him to meet her at the hatchet range to talk about Rocco. Spinelli left for Drew and Willow’s house.

Lulu was throwing axes when Dante arrived. He was irritated that she called him away from his dad’s interrogation to throw axes but when she let him know Liesl Obrecht was in Port Charles, he understood and was not happy. Not knowing Rocco had already met with Liesl, they were worried he would run into her before they had a chance to talk with him again. They left for the Metro Court pool to find Rocco.

After having received the envelope with the address card and key yesterday, Lucas went to find Marco at the location where he was being held. He opened the door to find Marco passed out in the chair. Marco finally woke her and called Lucas his hero. They didn’t have keys to the handcuffs, but Lucas said his sister, Sam, taught him how to pick a lock and magically unlocked the handcuffs within seconds.

Marco let Lucas know they treated him okay until he tried to escape, but Lucas didn’t want him to make any excuses for Sonny and Jason and could tell he’d been beaten. Lucas wanted to take him to the hospital, but Marco said he needed to do something first.

Sonny was still meeting with ADA Turner in the PCPD interrogation room. As she was asking about Marco again, Dante came in to tell her someone was waiting to see her in the squad room. He stayed to talk to Sonny about Marco, but Sonny said it was not a conversation they needed to be having.

Dante told Sonny he didn’t want him to say anything but, instead, asked to hear him out. He reminded Sonny that his grandsons, Rocco and Gio, were going through a lot right now. He said they admired and wanted to emulate him and asked that he keep them in mind because “they’re looking at you, Dad.”

In the squad room, Turner met with Sidwell. She told him about Lucas reporting his concern over Marco’s whereabouts and asked if he had any reason to believe Marco had met with foul play. He said he wasn’t in the habit of making accusations without evidence and facts to back it up, but he had yet to receive confirmation of his son’s safety.

Turner went to the interrogation room to tell Sonny to speak with Sidwell and then dismissed Dante from the conversation. Sidwell greatly feared his son had been abducted by someone who wanted to coerce him into compliance. When Turner asked him to be more specific, Sidwell said he feared any specificity would be hazardous to his son’s health.

After she asked him to tell her who he felt was responsible for taking his son, Marco walked in. Turner said Marco looked like he had been the victim of an assault and asked him what happened. He lied by saying he was on his way to his mother’s memorial and, being overwhelmed with emotions, stopped to take a short walk and get some fresh air. He said he got lost while walking on a trail and ended up falling in a ravine. When he finally returned to his car, he found it had a flat tire, and he ended up sleeping there for the night. Turner didn’t really believe him, but couldn’t do anything about it, and Sidwell looked perplexed.

After Marco left, Sidwell thanked Turner and also left. Turner stopped Sonny when he tried to leave and took him back to the interrogation room. She accurately detailed how she thought everything, from the fire to the kidnapping, went, but Sonny reminded her of what Marco had said happened.

She’d thought they reached an understanding that they both acknowledged having a role in Natalia’s death. She’d felt it meant he had a conscience, but now felt he was just as corrupt and soulless as she originally thought. He stepped closer and said, “If I’m as corrupt and soulless as you think I am, Marco Rios would be dead and left.

Carly and Jason met at the Metro Court pool while Danny was working. After Carly remarked that he was a great kid, Jason let her know that Danny had been asking about Britt the other day. It now made him wonder if it was why he thought he saw her at the airport in Paris.

Meanwhile, Lulu surprised Danny by being at the pool again. He said it felt like she was hovering and asked if he could get a little space, so she left. Spinelli texted her and she went to the hatchet range to meet him.

Carly tried to explain away Jason “seeing” Britt by saying it could have been fatigue or jet lag that affected his perception, but Jason couldn’t help but question it. When she asked why Danny was inquiring about Britt, Jason told her about Danny having found the file with the birth certificates and briefly filled her in on what Rocco knew and why he wanted to speak with Jason.

Carly acknowledged Jason had strong feelings for Britt, but said his opinion of her was very different from most people’s. She said she wouldn’t and couldn’t sit there and judge Britt because she died saving Josslyn’s life. Jason, having been falsely assumed to be dead more than once, questioned if Britt was really dead.

After Marco went to the PCPD, Lucas went to the pool to tell Carly, who was still sitting with Jason, that Marco was alive. When she thought everything must have been a big misunderstanding, Lucas told her it wasn’t, said she owed him a favor, and he needed her help.

Carly and Lucas went to the hotel so she could let him into Marco’s room. Lucas told Carly he found Marco unconscious, beaten, and handcuffed to a chair. She said she was glad to hear he found Marco and he was okay, but Lucas said if Marco had been killed, he would have made sure Jason and Sonny spent the rest of their lives in prison.

Carly understood Lucas was terrified, but reminded him Jenz Sidwell was a very dangerous man and Marco was his son and lawyer. She said Marco knew who his father was and what he did. It’s not that she thought it made him fair game, but said when Marco moved to Port Charles to be closer to his father personally and professionally, there was an assumption of risk that came with that choice

Lucas continued to be upset, but Carly said, “Look, brother, whoever took Marco did so because they know who his father is and what he did. The blame lands at Sidwell’s door.” He said they both know who took Marco, but she didn’t want to fight with him. She acknowledged that he cared about Marco and had been through a lot, but also pointed out that he had just met the man and was already deeply involved. She felt he was being naive, which angered him even more. He yelled that he didn’t want to fight with her anymore either. He thanked her for letting him in Marco’s room and asked for one more favor - to never defend Jason or Sonny to him again.

After Carly left, Marco arrived. Lucas was preparing his medical supplies to look him over and be sure he was okay. Marco asked if he could take a shower first. Marco’s face was scratched and his ribs badly bruised, but he wanted to focus on him and Lucas. He said he wanted it to just be about them and no one else. They kissed and made love.

Meanwhile, when Carly left with Lucas, Danny asked Jason if he had a minute to talk. Danny told him he met with Liesl and felt, like Jason had told him, there was way more to Britt Westbourne than people thought. From what Liesl and Jason said to him, Rocco felt Britt was a lot more than just some bad person.

He also let Jason know he’d emailed Liesl, which is why she came back to Port Charles and, after talking with her, thought Britt may have been a better person than his mom or dad let themselves realize. As he was saying it was kind of nice to hear that, maybe, Britt’s reasons for having him weren’t totally bad, Liesl walked in. When she spotted Jason, she muttered, “Herr Morgan, we meet again.”

She approached them and gleefully talked to Rocco before turning to Jason and saying, “Mr. Morgan, for a man presumed dead, you appear none the worse for wear. My Britta would be pleased to see it.” She asked Rocco to help her get settled onto a chaise.

As Jason sat a bit befuddled, Carly came back. As she was telling him how upset Lucas was with him and Sonny (which she couldn’t blame him for), she spotted Rocco and Liesl. “That can’t be a coincidence”, said Carly. Jason told her that Rocco reached out to Liesl and asked Carly what she knew about Britt’s death. She retold the story of Britt fending off Heather when she was attacking Josslyn and getting nicked by the poison hook. When she commented that as far as she knew, Britt died in Liesl’s arms with no one else around, Jason knew he needed to talk to Obrecht.

Lulu and Dante arrived to find Liesl and Rocco talking and getting ready to take a selfie. As they walked up, Dante told Rocco to go with him, but they didn’t leave. Lulu told Liesl to get up, leave, and never go near Rocco again. Knowing it would be better to play it cool and sweet, Liesl looked at Rocco and then apologized to Lulu. “I apologize if I’ve offended you by being in your son’s proximity. It’s a shame that we cannot all peacefully coexist. Especially considering Rocco would not exist were it not for my dear, departed Britta”, she said before she left.

When Lulu questioned Rocco about Liesl, he said he had reached out to her because he had questions and wanted to know more about Britt. Dante told him that whatever he’d heard about Britt Westbourne, she was no hero, and neither was Liesl. He also told Rocco he shouldn’t listen to anything Liesl had to say. Rocco said, “I get you guys hate them and you have your reasons, but they’re not mine, and I don’t. Okay?” and walked off.

In Portia’s office at the hospital, Willow couldn’t believe Portia would say Drew was blackmailing her and thought she was making it up to turn her against him. Trying to get her to see the truth, Portia said, “I just told you that Drew wants me to frame your ex-husband – a man that you once claimed to love – and make him appear to be a drug addict. Drew wants me, this hospital’s Co-Chief of Staff, to illegally and unethically change your ex-husband’s blood tests so that he can steal your children. So you hear that and it means nothing? It doesn’t even faze you? Because, if that’s the case, I’m not sure I even know who you are anymore.”

Portia detailed Drew’s expectations further and was mortified when Willow said if that’s what it took, she was on Drew’s side. Willow said Michael used his money, power, influence, and the legal system to tear her children away from her without a second thought and went on to claim the only person believing in and truly supporting her was Drew. When Portia asked her to reconsider, she said Michael didn’t fight fair, so why should she?

Willow stopped herself and said she tried not to bring her personal life to work. When Portia said Drew was blackmailing her and wasn’t sure how they could keep that in two separate compartments, Willow said she was sorry for whatever Portia had done to put her in that position with Drew, but she wasn’t to blame for the situation; Michael was.

Willow felt Michael pushed it too far and was blackmailing her because she couldn't see her children unless she left Drew. She felt that her kids needed her, and she needed them; if that was what Drew thought needed to be done, then so be it. She declared, “I trust Drew. He is the only one I trust,” and left.

Nina went to see Drew at his house. She asked if Willow told him about Sasha leaving with Daisy, and was surprised when he didn’t know. Nina told him someone was targeting Daisy and explained what had been happening. Drew assumed it was one of Sonny’s enemies, but Nina accused him instead. Drew thought Nina was insane to accuse him of doing such a thing and claimed he would never want to terrify parents like that or torture anyone for just the hell of it.

Nina said it would have to be someone who knew the grounds well and how to avoid the security cameras. After she left, Spinelli came over to relay Maxie’s message about all of the RSVPs being in and commented that it wasn’t an extensive guest list. Spinelli said he and Maxi wished only the best for Drew and Willow, but they also wished the same for Michael and the kids. He suggested that they just be happy and good to each other.

Willow arrived from the hospital. Spinelli said Maxie requested adding Liesl to the guest list and that he felt everything was going to be perfect at the Cosmopolitan (where the wedding was being held). After Spinelli left, she did not say anything about Portia’s accusations. Instead, she sat with the invite and said the Cosmopolitan couldn’t compare with the Quartermaine grounds, but the ambiance would be more welcoming. When she said that, Drew recalled what Nina had said about how the person who was targeting Daisy knew their way around the Quartermaines' property.

As a look of concern came over his face, he asked her what she ended up doing on July 4th when he was in D.C. She said she went to get a drink with her mom after the fireworks, and she almost missed the fireworks because she was so tired. Drew looked doubtful and worried.

After meeting with Drew, Nina visited Portia. Portia told her that she just had a terrifying conversation with Willow, whom didn’t recognize anymore. She told her about Drew’s blackmail and said that when she shared the information with Willow, she wasn’t horrified or even fazed.
