Here’s your General Hospital recap on what happened in Port Charles today, Thursday, July 24, 2025.
What happened on General Hospital

Sonny met Carly at the Metro Court pool. She questioned whether it was the best idea to take Marco and escalate things with Sidwell. Sonny defended his decision and told Carly she should have talked to Lucas, who turned him in to the cops. Before Carly could respond, Michael and Wiley arrived for Wiley’s swim lesson.
After a brief conversation, Michael took Wiley to practice. Carly expressed disbelief that Lucas went to the cops, and Sonny told her about Marco showing up to give a fake story to the ADA. Sonny said he and Sidwell came to an understanding. When Carly asked if it meant her family was safe, Michael walked back up and said he would like to know that as well.
Sonny briefly explained his agreement with Sidwell. The conversation turned to Drew, whom Sonny said took advantage of Michael’s injury and destroyed any hope of a compromise between him and Willow. Michael said he tried not to dwell on what could have been with Willow. He admitted it was hard to think about her marrying Drew, but he was more concerned about the kids. They missed Willow, but he still couldn’t trust her and said he would continue to follow the court order.
Meanwhile, in Marco’s Metro Court hotel room, he and Lucas were waking up. They cuddled and talked about Marco’s kidnapping as well as their developing relationship. Marco vowed not to let anything keep them apart and predicted they were headed someplace great. Since neither of them had to be at work, they decided to stay in bed for a while.
Later, when they went to the pool, their bliss was cut short when Lucas spotted Sonny sitting with Carly and Michael. Marco wanted to leave and encouraged Lucas not to say anything, but Lucas couldn’t stop himself. Sonny got up from the table as he saw Lucas walking toward them.
To the side, Lucas asked if Sonny thought sending him the key to find Marco was doing him a favor. Sonny gave him a word of advice, “You should be counting your blessings. You don’t know who the players are or what’s at stake.” Lucas said Marco’s life was at stake, and they both knew he was lucky. Sonny said Marco was lucky, and cautioned Lucas, next time he was worried about Marco, do them all a favor and don’t involve the cops.
Wiley’s lesson was finishing, so Michael said his goodbyes and began mentally preparing himself to find a way to tell Wiley about Willow getting married. After he left, Lucas came up and asked if Carly had seen Marco’s cuts and bruises. When she said she was just happy he was there with Lucas, he shared that Sonny told him he didn’t have the right to be mad because he didn’t know what was going on. “I hate to say, but you don’t. And, you proved that by going to the police”, she responded.
Lucas argued he never agreed to their code of silence and questioned why she kept Sonny’s secrets and rationalized his actions since they were divorced. He even went so far as to throw Morgan’s death in her face. Carly said she wasn’t going to rehash her son’s death with him, she accepted her decisions (Sonny being one of them), and she had no other choice but to live with the consequences.
Turning it back on him, she asked him to take a look at himself for a minute. Since returning to Port Charles, he’d almost gotten back together with Brad and now was already in deep with Marco. Lucas didn’t see her point, but Carly said it meant he was overreacting to everything and defending a guy he barely knew. She told him he was throwing around a lot of accusations about Sonny when he couldn’t see the situation clearly. She felt he was too blind to see that the situation wasn’t cut and dry because Marco was the first guy he’d fallen for since Brad.
On the other end of the pool, Michael told Wiley about Willow and Drew getting married. Wiley said he didn’t want his mommy marrying Uncle Drew and wanted her to still be married to Michael. Michael said he knew it was hard, but reassured Wiley that both he and his mother loved him very much and that wouldn’t change.
After Sonny’s conversation with Lucas, he went to see Marco in his hotel room. When Marco told Sonny he was guessing he wasn’t there to apologize, Sonny said, “Your father got you into the situation. I’m the reason you're not still in it.” Sonny said he wasn’t expecting a thank you but just wanted Marco to stay out of his way.
Kai found Trina at the Bad Jen Café. Despite knowing Trina felt betrayed, he said his feelings for her hadn’t changed, and he wanted them to find their way back to where they were. Trina asked why he was in a suit. When he said he was going to Drew and Willow’s wedding, she responded, “And that’s why there’s no going back for us,” and left.
Alexis arrived at Drew and Willow’s house to pick up Scout, who was excited to be a flower girl in the wedding. As they were discussing Scout, Drew shared his plan to move them to D.C. once Willow regained custody. He told Alexis not to worry because he would never come between her and Scout. Concerned about Scout’s entire life being uprooted, she asked him to wait to say anything about D.C. to Scout until he was absolutely sure about moving. In the end, Alexis pointedly told Drew Scout loved him and wanted him to be happy, “just like I know you want her to be happy. And that you’ll always put her happiness before your own.”
Before Alexis left with Scout, Drew stopped to tell Scout how proud he was of her. Scout expressed her excitement that her dad would be happy and that everyone (Alexis, Kristina, Molly, Danny, and Rocco) would be able to visit them at the house all the time.
Later, Kai arrived with Drew’s passport. He’s planned to take Willow to the south of France for their honeymoon. As Drew was talking about Willow, he flashed back to their previous conversation, where he began to worry that she was the one targeting Daisy. Kai let him know that he and Trina had broken up.
Drew acknowledged they broke up because of him, but Kai said, “...you don’t stay quiet when you know someone is being framed for something they didn’t do. Not when you know the truth.” Kai wished Drew luck with Willow before he left for the church.
Portia sat in her office at the hospital, looking at her resignation letter, when Curtis showed up. He asked if she stayed at the hospital again because of work or because she didn’t want to come home. She said she stayed the night because it was her last night to work at General Hospital and probably her last night working as a doctor.
Curtis thought she would wait until they had exhausted all other options, but she felt they had pretty much reached that point and told him about her conversation with Willow. He asked her to give him one more day before resigning. Curtis went down a list of “What if…” possibilities and felt it was possible that Willow would back out of the wedding. Portia didn’t know what he was thinking, but he said he was going to do everything he could to protect her, even if it meant betraying a friend.
Curtis was hopeful that, if he could get Willow to leave Drew, Drew would no longer need to use Portia, decide to move to D.C., and forget all about them. Portia was telling Curtis she didn’t want him to compromise himself when Trina arrived. They decided not to say anything to Trina yet and instead asked her how she was doing. She told them that she had broken up with Kai and felt hurt and disappointed.
After Curtis left, Trina sensed there was something they weren’t telling her, but Portia diverted the conversation. Portia didn’t suggest Trina should take Kai back, but she did say people were flawed, weak, and failed to live up to their own expectations in life. She admitted to being guilty of it herself and, therefore, had no room to judge anyone else.
Elizabeth was already at the church, reviewing the final wedding arrangements Maxie had made. Liesl arrived and quickly reminded Elizabeth of her role in helping Nicolas, which, in turn, impeded a police investigation into a serial killer (Heather Webber) who claimed the life of Britt.
Because Elizabeth was helping with the wedding, Liesl said she would suck it up and be polite as a wedding gift. She thought the flowers were magnificent, but “what a pity they have been sacrificed for a marriage doomed to fail.”
Meanwhile, in the bride’s room at the church, Nina gave Willow a bracelet. Willow was excited to get married and told Nina it was all possible because of her. Later, Elizabeth and Liesl joined Willow and Nina in the bride’s room. Nina grew increasingly nervous and more convinced that Willow was the one targeting Daisy.
Alexis and Scout arrived, and Nina left to catch her breath. Scout gave Willow a picture of the two of them. When Scout asked Willow if she wanted her to call her “mom”, Willow said she could call her whatever she liked. She went on to assure Scout that she would never take her mom’s place, who loved her. Willow asked Scout to think of her as someone who loved her, loved her dad, and would always have her back.
Off to the side, Liesl offered her condolences to Alexis for Sam’s death and said they were “members of a terrible club.” Liesl, Alexis, and Scout left to let Elizabeth help Willow get ready.
Meanwhile, in the chapel area, Ava walked in to find Nina sobbing. Ava tried to calm her, but Nina told her things were so much worse than she thought. Nina filled her in on Sasha’s departure and all the strange things that happened with Daisy. Like everyone else, Ava assumed it was one of Sonny’s enemies, but Nina finally blurted out she thought it could have been Willow.
Ava did her best to give reasons it wasn’t Willow, but Nina shared all the evidence that it was. Even though she agreed Willow was responsible for her own choices, Nina said it was Drew who did this to her, and, as her mother, she could not stand there and let it go on any further. “I’m done! I’m finally done”, she declared before walking off.
Arriving at the bride’s room before Nina, Curtis barged in and immediately told Willow there was something she needed to know about Drew. Before she could stop him, Curtis shocked Willow by telling her Drew was sleeping with Nina last summer.
