Back in the courtroom, Diane questioned Willow on the stand. She asked Willow if being with Drew or the kids mattered more. Willow said that Michael had asked her the same, but his question was more of an ultimatum. She said that Michael would only grant her access to the children, but only if she left Drew, and that is what the hearing was about. It wasn’t about her love for children or fitness as a parent, but her relationship with Drew. She felt that it was controlling and unfair. She questioned why she should have to choose.

Diane asked what happened between Willow and Drew, questioning how it all came to be. She then asked Willow, “So your children had no bearing on your affair?” Willow said no, and Diane asked, “Even when you had sex with Drew on the floor of your children’s nursery?”

Willow explained that it wasn’t planned, and Drew was upset that night because of Sam’s death. Diane argued that she put Drew’s needs in front of the needs of her children that night because they were in the room that was meant for the children, and the children could have walked in any time to see the two of them “in flagrante”.

Diane went on to bring up other instances, like when Willow barred Michael’s family access to him in the hospital, taking Wylie to DC without informing Michael, and moving the children in with Drew, also without informing Michael. Even Though Willow seemed to hold her own against Diane’s questioning, many of her answers included “Drew and I”...Drew and I thought, Drew and I felt, etc. Her testimony showed how much Drew played into her decision-making. She also had to admit that the kids had asked when they were going to move back home.

Ric questioned Willow. He asked why she was petitioning for full and not shared custody. Willow said that she was hopeful for a compromise until an hour ago when Michael gave in to his animosity for Drew and said that he would not agree to a joint custody arrangement.

Willow said she deeply regretted the way her marriage ended (btw, they're technically still married), but that when she fell in love with Drew, her marriage was already over and she just hadn’t come to terms with it. She testified that she was the sole parent when Michael was in Germany and that, fortunately, Drew had been a godsend. She said that he helped them move into a safe home and that they have cared for them, read to them, played with them, and made them feel safe and loved. She said that she may have made mistakes, but that didn’t change the fact that she was Wylie and Amelia’s mother, and they belonged with her.

Court finally adjourned.

At the Quartermaine boathouse, Tracy, having seen Marco leave, questioned Brook Lynn. Brook Lynn didn’t say anything about talking to him about Lulu and, instead, vented about Gloria and Lois. She claimed she had tried her whole life to live up to her mother’s and Gloria’s expectations, trying to be good and honest, and look where that had gotten her.

Tracy said that it was good that she could now see Gloria and Lois as they actually are because, now, she was free and didn’t have to please them and worry about what they thought.

Brook Lynn expressed her anger at herself for not going looking for her son when Lulu first came to her. She also wished she had come clean to Dante on her terms and didn’t keep the secret because Lois and Gloria pressured her to. She was angry that she trusted them and that she trusted Lulu not to say anything, and proclaimed that “all of that blind trust ends now”. She was going to remind people never to come for Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Tracy asked if by people she meant Lulu, to which Brook Lynn contemptuously responded, “Don’t you think that Lulu needs to be held accountable?”

Brook Lynn felt that she had done what was needed to make amends for her past actions with Dante and Lulu. She concluded that she should have been more like Tracy, to which Tracy responded, “I don’t know whether to be insulted or flattered. I’m going with flattered.” When Brook Lynn told her that people know that if they mess with Tracy that she would mess back, Tracy thoughtfully responded, “I love seeing this strength in you, but you need to know that exercising that god given strength comes at a cost” and shared some of her past actions with her father that cost her dearly.

She went on to ask Brook Lynn if “scheming and conflict where you want to put your energy, or do you want to put your energy into a relationship with your son and into strengthening your marriage?” She reminded her that she was “surrounded by good people who love you. I want you to think very, very carefully before you put your energy and that strength toward revenge.”

The poignant moment was lost on Brook Lynn, who told Tracy that she was underestimating her. She told her not to look at it as revenge but more like it was her being true to herself and doing what she felt was right, fair, and just.

Trina and Ava caught up at the art gallery. Trina took notice of Ava’s improved outlook and her wanting to pull out all of the stops for the gallery. Ava let her know that her financial troubles were behind her and that she was “back in the black.”

Ava lent a sympathetic ear and advice when Trina shared that she had reservations about the documentary and about Kai getting close to Drew. Ava warned Trina that she is spot on about Drew and for her to be very careful around “that man”.

Trina also confided in Ava that she felt that there was something not good happening between her parents. Ava tried to reassure that all marriages have their moments and that everything was probably fine.

When asked about Ric, Ava coyly remarked that he has been a good man to know on a professional level and a personal level, too. She suspected that she might even be happy.

Trina shared her reservations about Ric and told Ava that she wanted to be sure he was worthy of her.

At the Metro Court pool, Kristina told Cody that she wanted to hire him to seduce someone. Cody mistakenly thought she was talking about Alexis. Before Kristina had the chance to correct him, he said, “I think this is very broad-minded of you. You know, progressive. And just between you, me, and the lamppost, I’ve always thought that Alexis is a very attractive woman. You know, she’s got a button-down, minxy quality about her.” Kristina was finally able to stop and let him know she was talking about Ava.

Cody asked why she thought it would be possible. Kristina said she saw them together and said to trust her. She said, “Ava is a raccoon”, to which Cody replied, “into garbage?”. Kristina told him that she was easily distracted and that he was a shiny, new object.

She told him that she wanted him to come between Ric and Ava and help Ric see how horrible Ava is. Confused, Cody said, “Uh, I didn’t realize you were looking out for good ‘ol Uncle Ricky.” Kristina said she was looking out for Molly, which easily played on Cody’s growing affection for Molly. Kristina went on to tell him that Molly doesn’t like Ava, nor that Ric and Ava are seeing each other, and that, if he can come between them, it would be a really good thing.

Cody wasn’t sure that he wanted to get mixed up with Ava, and doubted that Kristina had the means to make it worth his while. She assured him that she did. Kristina also proclaimed that she was not being impulsive but playing the “long game”.

Cody said $1,000 would get her a trial run to see what was possible with Ava. She gave him the sunglasses that Ava left behind so that he would have an in.

At the hospital, Lucky made the third stop on his goodbye tour to see Isaiah. He told Isaiah that he had come to repay a debt. Lucky gave Isaiah the deed to his cabin on the lake that his dad built and let him know that he was leaving town.

Lucky shared that Elizabeth turned his proposal down, but he thinks maybe it was better for all of them. Even though Lucky was there to thank him, Isaiah told him that he felt that he was the one who owed him. Isaiah shared that he felt he found his place in Port Charles. He said, “This is where I turned around and faced myself. You and your sister got me back in the O.R.”

They gave each other a bro-hug goodbye. As he was leaving, Lucky told him to keep that cabin and that he was going to have to fix the place up.

Kai came to visit Portia in her office about Congressman Drew. Kai said he owed Portia and Curtis an apology for sticking up for Drew to her family. She told him that an apology wasn’t needed. He wanted to better understand the conflict between Drew and their family and asked, “Is there something else about Drew I’m not seeing?”

Portia told him that Drew and Curtis were once close, but that Drew had changed since getting out of prison. She said that he had become opportunistic, selfish, and extremely manipulative and that he went from the kind of guy who would take a bullet for somebody to someone who was willing to use anyone to get what he wants.

She told Kai that she did not expect him to turn his back on Drew, but that she wanted him to be aware of how Drew can be and how he might try to exploit him. Finally, she advised that he and Trina should not focus on Drew or let him affect their relationship.

After Kai left, Portia left an angry and exasperated message for Nina that she needed to find Jacinda. Isaiah walked up as she threw her phone in frustration.

Martin is back in town and went to visit Laura at her office. Martin confessed to Laura that he had been in jail in Lodi because of his ex-wives. He said that they got together and took him for all of his assets, and he is now broke.

Eventually, he asked if he could temporarily move in with her and Kevin. Laura enthusiastically agreed. Martin vowed that he would make a full financial recovery and that he was going to make Tracy Quartermaine pay for it. Laura advised, “Why don’t we get you settled before you declare war on Tracy Quartermaine.” Laura told him that Tracy had her own upheaval going on right now, to which Martin sarcastically said that he heart bleeds for her and quipped, “as we used to say on Cellblock #4, she had it coming.”

Laura was most welcoming to Martin, but warned him not to break even one law. Martin gave his baby sister his word that his “vengeance upon Tracy Quartermaine will be meticulous, thorough, and 100% legit. For once, law is going to be on my side.”

After Martin left, Lucky made what is presumably his final stop to say goodbye to his mother. He apologized because he was about to disappoint her. Laura immediately realized that he was going to leave Port Charles.
