At Trina and Joss’s home, Trina and Kai were in bed, catching up about Kai’s visit with Drew. Trina was surprised that Drew apologized to him. Kai sang Drew’s praises and told her about the internship offer. Trina had reservations about it.

Nina visited Ava at the gallery. She filled her in on the results of the custody hearing and Willow’s devastation. Visibly worried, she told Ava that Drew had “his hooks into Willow so deeply” that she barely recognized her daughter anymore. Ava was outraged about Drew’s actions and unwillingness to just get out. When Nina shared that Drew knew she and Portia worked together and, if they crossed him again, he’d take them both down, Ava said, “Oh, wow. Evil and efficient."

Nina reiterated her fear that the only way out of the mess was to tell Willow she and Drew slept together while he was falling in love with her. Ava gave her a told-you-so moment, reminding her she’d encouraged her to be honest with Willow multiple times.

Nina maintained that her daughter needed her more than the truth right now. Ava strongly agreed that now wasn’t the time to tell the truth because Willow might not believe her, and/or Drew would call her a liar. She would then lose Willow altogether, who would be left with only Drew to lean on.

As they were concluding their talk, Willow texted Nina to meet at the Metro Court pool. After Nina left, Trina came in for work. She told Ava about Drew’s intern offer to Kai, but was under the impression he wasn’t going to take it. Drew came back to his house from jogging to find Willow still dazed and tired. She expressed her ongoing shock at Michael getting sole custody. Drew kept an optimistic tone and asked her if she had thought about his proposal.

Willow said she understood he only wanted to help and she loved him for it, but he was the reason Michael took her kids away from her, and couldn’t see how marrying him would get them back. Drew apologized for taking them to D.C. and drawing up the guardianship papers, but Willow made excuses for him.

She felt that getting married because it’s a good legal strategy would be like she was using him. He promised her that it was not the case and that he would marry her anytime, anyplace, but he also assured her they didn’t have to get married if she didn’t want to.

Martin came by to review their case and next move. He said Judge Heran usually ruled in favor of married couples over single parents, which is why he was suggesting they get married. Saying it worked when she and Michael got married to get custody of Wylie, Willow began to see it as a good idea. Martin was also overconfident that Drew’s reputation was going to be restored, thinking Tracy would agree to his terms.

After Martin left, Willow said she felt like there was some hope again and agreed to getting married. After Willow left, Kai dropped by and, initially, turned the internship down because he didn’t want to relocate to D.C. Drew let him know the terms were flexible and he could stay based in Port Charles to represent him. Kai accepted his offer.

Wylie, Michael, and Kristina were at the Metro Court pool. Michael and Kristina talked about not seeing the relationship between Willow and Drew sooner than they did. He lamented that good memories were getting tarnished. Citing her experience with Ava, Kristina advised not to let his anger consume him and not to let it be charged.

Michael picked up that Kristina was referring to something more specific and asked her what she did. She evaded telling him the truth and shifted back to encouraging him to focus on the positive. He expressed his hope for Willow to get to a place where he can feel comfortable with her around the kids.

Wiley finished swimming and was hungry, so they left to get a PB & J sandwich. They forgot Wiley’s Lila’s Kids' camp shirt when they left. When Willow arrived, she seemed to be looking for someone. She quickly saw Wiley’s shirt and worried she got the time of Wiley’s swim lesson wrong or that Michael forgot about it. Willow insisted she needed to get Wiley’s favorite shirt back to him right away.

Kristina came back for the shirt. Willow had difficulty speaking when she asked how Wiley and Amelia were doing. After Kristina left, Nina realized Willow had asked to meet there, hoping to see Wiley. Nina cautioned her not to do things like that because she was not supposed to see them right now and would be violating the court’s decision.

Willow acknowledged she was right but stunned Nina when she said it would not be that way for long because she and Drew would be married by the time the visitation hearing was scheduled.

Curtis visited Tracy at the Q mansion to talk about taking down Drew. Curtis felt, even with everything Drew has done, Tracy’s public arrest shifted favor back to his reputation because people are viewing him as a victim.

Curtis asked if she could prove she was being framed, and Drew planted the ketamine in her car. If Drew had retracted his statement, the DA wouldn’t have had a case because there was no other evidence.

When Curtis asked how they could get Drew to recant his statement, Tracy told him about the proposed deal from Martin — that she let Drew have the Quartermaine name back and make a public apology. She also let him know she had no intention of agreeing to those terms.

Curtis wondered if they could get Martin to switch sides. Tracy didn’t think there was a chance because she had him arrested, and he wanted to see her publicly humiliated. They concluded that trying to get the charges dropped was their best move.

He shared that he’s trying to locate Jacinda to have her say that Drew took the ketamine willingly. Tracy encouraged him to find her quickly. Michael came back from the Metro Court pool shortly before Martin arrived.

Martin came to confirm that Tracy was going to do the press conference. The three appeared to have a yet-to-be-revealed strategy. Tearing up Martin’s speech, Tracy refused to do the press conference, but Curtis and Michael encouraged her to do it and get it over with. She acquiesced.

Softball season has started! At the park, Gio and Emma played catch. She tried to talk him into playing for the PCPD softball team. A stray dog without a collar came up, grabbed Gio’s glove, and ran off. They caught up with the dog, and Emma left to find the owner.

It’s PCPD vs. Corinthos Coffee today. Anna and Sonny had a friendly face-off before the softball game about who was going to beat whom. ADA Turner came up and asked Anna to play for the PCPD because it was a great networking opportunity. After talking to someone, Turner got on the team. Anna reluctantly welcomed her, and Turner said they would get along much better once Sonny was out of the picture.

Sonny walked up to Gio (who mistakenly called him Uncle Sonny) to ask if he was playing today. He wanted to have a conversation with Gio, but Gio asked him to please not do that, telling him he was the one person not pressuring him about family and talking to people. Sonny said he just wanted to ask him to play for Corinthos Coffee. Because they would have to play against ELQ, Deception, and PCPD, all teams with players he didn’t want to see, Gio was reluctant.

Sonny offered his help and advice, saying, “You found out a hard truth in a bad way. There’s nothing you can do to change that. All you can do is move forward.” He also reminded Gio he was an adult and could do what he wanted because he didn’t have to answer to Gloria and Lois anymore. In the end, Gio agreed to play for Corinthos Coffee.

Not able to find the owner, Emma came back with the dog. She took a pic of him with Gio so they could post it online to try to find the owner. Emma told Anna that if she couldn’t find the dog’s owner, she was going to keep her and call her Outback.

Sonny and Turner came face to face and had some semi-flirtatious, but pointed banter.
