Ric and Drew showed up at the hospital. A flustered Drew told him that Michael, Willow, and the kids visited the new baby together the night before and that he felt it was too cozy. He did not want to risk them reconciling.

At the same time, Kristina brought Wylie and Amelia to the hospital to visit Daisy. Lucas stayed with Wylie while Kristina went to the ladies' room with Amelia, but he had to answer a beep, which gave Drew a chance to tell a very purposeful lie.

Off to the side where Wylie could overhear, Drew told Ric, “Look, today has got to go our way. Okay, Willow and I need custody of Wylie and Amelia because, now that Michael has got the new baby, he doesn’t want Wylie and Amelia anymore. Michael can have his family with Daisy and Sasha, that’s what he wants.” Drew walked off, and Ric actually looked regretful. Now, out of earshot, Ric asked Drew if using the kid was a good idea. Drew said he hated it but had to. It was imperative that Willow get full custody.

Lucas returned to an upset Wylie. As he was trying to find out what happened, Michael came around the corner. Immediately concerned, he comforted Wylie. Wylie said he was upset because Michael isn’t going to want him or Amelia anymore now that the new baby is here.

Michael reassured his son, “I don’t know where you heard that, but that is not true. I love you and your sister more than anything. Bigger than an ocean. Remember?” Before long, Wylie felt comforted and reassured. When asked where he got an idea like that, Wylie said that he had heard Uncle Drew say it.

Lucky accompanied Elizabeth to her first day back to work. Lucky seemed a little reluctant about the decision to leave, but Elizabeth reminded him of who he is. She told him that they have changed a lot since they were 15 and that, even though they still love each other, Port Charles fits him even less now. It was better that they admit that they want different things now instead of hurting each other later. Lucky said his goodbye to Elizabeth and walked away.

Kristina and Michael talked in front of the nursery, where he told her about Drew sinking to a new low. Michael resolves that Drew needed to be handled.

Lucas, happy to see Elizabeth, gave her a big welcome-back hug. She filled him in on Lucky leaving and that she was the one who told him to go after he proposed. They had a lovely heart-to-heart about the situation. Lucas agreed that she did what was best, saying that, “Truly loving someone is wanting what’s best for them” and that there was power in acceptance.

Nina and Willow arrived early at the courthouse. Before going to the hospital, Michael called her and asked if they could speak privately before the hearing. An excited Nina felt that it was a good sign and told her that it could be what they were hoping for.

For a little while, Nina and Willow were happily believing that things were going to get better. They both thought compromise was for the best, even though they seemed to firmly believe that Willow was going to get custody anyway. After Michael’s testimony, Nina remarked that, at one point, she wasn’t even sure if Michael would get visitation.

Willow was excited by what she saw as the old Michael and said that she didn’t hate him but had just been disappointed in the way he was acting. Unaware of what lie Drew was perpetuating at the hospital, Willow was fully ready to compromise with Nina, cheering her on. She did ask Nina why she had kept the secret about Sasha and Michael from her, but immediately forgave her and went on about how grateful she was for Nina and everything she does for her.

As they continued their mother-daughter bonding, Michael arrived. Upset and angry from the hospital, he told Willow what happened and what Drew said to purposely upset Wylie. Willow did not believe him. She insisted that either Wylie misunderstood or Michael was making it up to turn her against Drew. Willow proclaimed that “Drew is a good man, who loves me and my children. He would never do something to hurt them. With a steely resolve, Michael looked in the eye and told her, “I want you to remember this moment. This is the moment you could have ended things, and you refused. You chose Drew over our kids.”

Michael met Diane in the courtroom and told her to stick to the original plan. He told her to do what she had to because the kids were not safe with Willow. Drew walked up to an upset Willow. She told him what Michael claimed, and he immediately denied it, claiming that he would never do anything like that. “It just goes to show that Michael is not well and the kids belong with us”, Drew said as he hugged her. An outraged Nina looked on, but said nothing.

The hearing apparently was not over, as it was Willow’s turn to take the stand. Ric’s questioning was first. Willow testified that she used to believe that Michael was a good father, but she didn’t think that anymore. She cited his choice to get treatment in Germany instead of Baltimore, and that, even before that, his job at Aurora had led him to miss some of the children’s events. She concluded that Michael “liked the idea of being a father more than actually being one.” She also testified that she went to Germany and that Michael couldn’t or wouldn’t meet her halfway.

Michael wrote on Diane's notepad that Willow's coming to Germany never happened. Next, it was Diane’s turn to question. She began by reminding the court that Willow testified that the children were her number one priority and then asked her, “Which is more important, being with them or being with Drew Cain?”

Marco was at the Metro Court pool when Ava showed up. They had met briefly before, but he reintroduced himself and also let her know that he was Jenz Sidwell’s son. He said his father was trying to get a Van Gogh through customs and having a hard time. Ava said she could help. He also let her know that he was dating Lucas and that his mom was Natalia Ramirez. She was delighted to hear about Lucas and actually apologized for her actions in revealing what his mother said about Kristina and Blaze/Alison.

Also at the pool, Cody approached Carly and asked her how she felt about love. He pitched an idea to have a weekly Singles Night at the Metro Court pool. When Carly asked if she would get part of the profits, he told her no, but the wealthy, hot, young singles would likely want to rent rooms at the hotel. Carly laughed and reminded Cody that the Metro Court is a 5-star establishment and they don’t rent rooms for the night. She told him the pool is pretty much booked every night, but that she did love his hustle.

After his proposal was rejected, Cody saw Gio, who was working. They had a brief talk where he offered his help with anything Gio needs.

Kristina arrived at the pool and had a genuine PTSD moment when she looked at the window she had fallen out of last year. Gio spotted her and told her to sit so he could get her some water. He offered to take her to the elevator, but she was resolved to stay and face her fears. She spotted Nina, who was on her phone, trying to get Sidwell's Van Gogh through customs.

When Ava got back to her poolside spot, Cody was lying in her chaise. After she gave him the boot, he offered to get her a drink to make up for his blunder. Kristina watched as he walked off to get her an iced tea. After Cody and Ava chatted for a little bit, Ava got up to leave.

Kristina approached her as she was leaving, remarking that “she was back to the scene of the crime”. Ava dismissed her by saying that it was a beautiful day and then went on to not-so-cryptically remark, “It’s days like this that really make you appreciate your freedom, wouldn’t you agree?” She told her to enjoy it and left.

Kristina spotted that Ava had left her sunglasses, and then Cody, who was sitting back down. “Hello, Molly’s sister”, Cody said as Kristina sat down. To which she replied, “How would you like to make some money?”

Rocco found Gio at the pool. He assured Gio that he would never lie to his own brother. Gio said he always wanted a brother and told Rocco that even though things are kinda weird right now, finding out he was his brother was one of the best things to come out of it. Everything was going well until Rocco brought up Dante. Gio finally told him, “I get that you love your father, but he means nothing to me.” In the end, they agreed to backburn the whole brother thing right now and start hanging out as friends.

Brook Lynn was at the Quartermaine boat house contemplating her new reality when Chase joined her. In rehashing everything that had happened, Brook Lynn concluded that all of the fallout is Lulu’s fault. Chase supported her anger at Lulu. He shared that Lois texted him and he responded by telling her that it was up to Brook Lynn to decide when she wanted to talk with her

Chase told Brook Lynn that she needs to give everyone a chance to process. She worried that she hurt Gio the most because she gave him away. They vow to learn from their mistakes and be completely honest with their children. She states that they will learn from their mistakes, unlike Lulu, who never will.

Chase left. Marco arrived at the boathouse to meet with Brook Lynn, who apparently wants to hire him to sue Lulu.

Before leaving his house to find Gio at the pool, Rocco and Lulu talked briefly about Gio. Lulu expressed her regret for the way she handled things with Gio. Rocco didn’t admonish her but just said his dad and Gio were hurting right now and that Gio had not responded to his attempts to contact him.

After he left, Lucky made the next stop on his goodbye tour to see Lulu. Lucky filled her in on everything with Elizabeth and said that he and Aiden were going to travel for the summer before he decided where to go next. Lulu was saddened to see Lucky leave, but agreed with how maturely he and Elizabeth were handling things.

They then talked about the messy Gio situation. Lulu said that she “never meant to hurt Gio. I was just trying to find the truth”. Lucky concluded that she was “ just trying to do the right thing and, one day, Gio and Dante will be able to see that.”

In a heartfelt goodbye, Lucky vowed to come back if she ever needed him and told her, “I love you, Leslie Lu.”
