Here is your General Hospital recap for Thursday, May 1, 2025, when Brook Lynn had a meltdown with Granny Tracy.
What happened on General Hospital

Laura asked Lulu why she was really writing a feature about adoption. Lulu cited the adoption statistics in America, but Laura didn't buy it as a reason. "What does this topic have to do with you?" she asked. Lulu began to shake and told her mom, "It's not my secret to tell. I am not even supposed to know this information," she said.
That only made Laura all the more curious about what was going on. She assumed Lulu stumbled upon something. "Stumbled, snooped, stuck my nose where it doesn't belong," Lulu admitted. Finally, a tearful Lulu quietly gave her mother some news. "I have knowledge about a child who was given up for adoption, but not all the parties are aware. I'm in a position to change that," she said.
Lulu asked if knowing the secret made it hers to share. Laura had to tell her that it wasn't. "As your mother, I just feel I have to advise you against playing God with someone else's life," Laura said. She asked her daughter to take a step back and ask herself what it would have felt like to make a decision to give up a child.
"Imagine having your agency taken away. Imagine someone coming in and telling you, 'I know what's best for you and for your child.' I would hope that you would not take that position lightly," Laura advised, before pointing out the hard choice she had to make when she left Nikolas with the Cassadines.
Laura then had the best advice Lulu could get. "Choosing to expose someone else's secret or their truth? That is hubris," Laura said.
Tracy couldn't stop cackling as she read the story and watched the video of Drew's wild night at The Savoy. "Thanks to Lulu, Drew is no longer Congressman Cutthroat. He is Congressman Cad. I am sending that girl flowers right now. She is a national treasure," Tracy praised.
Brook Lynn quickly lost it. "Do you think you can go a day without an ode to the glories of Lulu because I can't take it anymore?" she exclaimed before storming out of the solarium. Chase ran after his wife, but Tracy was confused. "Was it something I said?" she asked Gio.
Tracy announced she wasn't going to let Brook Lynn's fit ruin her day. She was basking in the news about Drew. "Did you see his meltdown? Or should I say...hoedown?" Tracy asked as she laughed hysterically at her own joke.
A pensive Gio said he had, but wondered why Tracy was happy about it. "Doesn't it mess with your plans to take down Uncle Sonny?" he asked. Tracy admitted it could be a setback, "but it's not going to stop me from making Port Charles a Sonny-free zone."
Gio sat down and admitted to Tracy that he'd spoken to Jason and knew that Sonny had killed AJ. "Jason said that Sonny shot AJ to save Ava's life," Gio claimed. "Well, of course, he'd say that. He has to justify Sonny's crimes," Tracy said. Gio then pointed out that Jason was finally back with the family. "You're right about that, but it was a long road to get him here," Tracy added.
Tracy said she was impressed that Jason told Gio about Sonny and AJ. Gio told Tracy that her vision was different. "Well, my version's the truth," Tracy stated matter-of-factly. "Jason's perception is seen through the lens of too many years at Sonny's knee. The man that Jason is now is not the boy I knew. This man is largely Sonny's work," Tracy added.
Gio listened as Tracy explained that Jason had "a lot of admirable qualities" before Sonny took him under his wing. She felt that Gio had the same admirable qualities.
Chase caught up with Brook Lynn outside the boathouse, where she continued to rant about people "extolling the virtues of Lulu." Brook Lynn told her husband about the adoption story that Lulu was working on. "She is trying to drive me insane and Chase, I think it's working," she said.
Chase thought they could end this whole thing by just telling Dante the truth. Brook Lynn admitted that she was tempted. "I'm so tired of Lulu beating me up with the secret," Brook Lynn said. However, she was still afraid of disrupting her son's life. "I respect Lulu's choices. I just wish she'd respect mine and leave me alone," Brook Lynn added. Chase walked away and said he was going to talk to Lulu.
In Lulu's living room, Dante chastised Danny and Rocco for leaving the Q boat house a mess. Yuri was on his way over to get them so they could clean it or there would be no Woodchucks game. When the boys were gone, Chase showed up and asked Dante to give Lulu a message. "You can tell her to back off my wife," Chase said.
Dante wasn't sure why Chase was so angry and explained that Brook Lynn and Lulu had a history, but their animosity was harmless. Dante also didn't see how Lulu's article about adoption had anything to do with Chase and Brook Lynn wanting to adopt. Chase wouldn't back down.
"I am asking you as a friend. Get Lulu to back off Brook Lynn. Will you do that?" he asked Dante. He didn't get a chance to answer because Lulu arrived home. When Chase left, he told Lulu they weren't going to the baseball game because he wanted to talk about Brook Lynn.
Back in the Q solarium, Brook Lynn apologized to Tracy for her earlier outburst. Tracy just wanted an explanation. "You two are not teenagers anymore, and these petty jealousies are beneath you. So, will you please tell me, my beloved granddaughter, whom I adore, why are you so threatened by Lulu?" she asked.
Brook Lynn refused to state her case, so Tracy stated Lulu's. She understood why Lulu would be threatened by Brook Lynn. "You're a successful businesswoman. You have lots of talents. And you have a wonderful husband who is devoted to you and you're at the very beginning of starting a family. And yet, with all that, Lulu's very existence riles you up. Why is that?" Tracy wondered.
Brook Lynn told Tracy that she had blinders on when it came to Lulu. "You see her as your last remaining tie to Luke," Brook Lynn spat. A choked-up Tracy told Brook Lynn she was wrong and Lulu was "so much more than her father's daughter." Tracy couldn't imagine why she would begrudge Lulu rebuilding her life.
"I don't care if Lulu has anything. I care that she knows that I got pregnant when I was in high school and gave the baby up for adoption. I care that your precious Lulu has been holding that fact over my head and threatening to blow my life up," Brook Lynn screamed at a stunned Tracy.
Down at the boat house, Rocco and Danny cleaned up as Danny let Rocco in on a secret. He wasn't going to the baseball game. He was going to a PCU bonfire. That made Rocco nervous because they were still in high school. Danny didn't care. "Come on, man. Let's you and me go and have some real fun," Danny said. Danny thought it was fate when Dante called to cancel on taking the boys to the game.
Nina and Willow listened to Drew banging on Nina's door, begging to talk. Willow finally decided to let him in. "This has been a huge misunderstanding," was all Drew could manage at first.
"I found you. In our bedroom. With a hooker," Willow stated. Drew thought that should be enough for Willow because she knew he would never sleep with a prostitute. "Does that sound like me? Does that sound like anything I would ever do?" he asked. Willow wasn't sure. "Right now, I don't know who you are," she replied. "I know what I saw. Right now, I trust my eyes more than I trust you," Willow added.
Drew asked Nina to leave the room, but she refused. "You're national news," Nina reminded Drew. He then turned to Willow and told her he didn't remember a thing from the night before. Nina chimed in with, "How convenient." Drew then claimed not to remember anything after he left his office. "Don't you see? Something is wrong," he told Willow.
"None of this should be hard to remember, Drew. There is footage of you out partying with the same woman I found half-naked in our bedroom this morning," Willow accused. Drew said he had no idea who she was. Nina then spoke up and told Drew he was lucky that Willow was speaking to him.
"You're just angry that she won't ignore what she saw in your bedroom with her own two eyes," Nina said. Drew turned to Willow and begged. "I love you with all my heart. I'm just asking you to trust that," he said. He begged Willow to join him at GH so he could have a blood test and prove something strange was going on. She agreed to do it, much to Nina's dismay.
Willow was incredulous. "You're asking me to trust you? That's all I've done. I have given up my entire life. My marriage. And, because of you, I may lose my kids," she cried. That line freaked out Nina as she realized she may have screwed up. Willow then told Drew that Michael refused to see her in Germany, so he was probably going to take her kids away.
Drew pretended to be shocked and saddened by this news, telling Willow he wouldn't allow Michael to do that. "You keep saying that, but you can't stop it. Not after this. I risked everything to be with you cause you promised that we were in this together. You promised to protect me and my children, but that was a lie," she shouted.
Nina opened the door and yelled for Drew to leave. Drew looked at Willow with on last appeal. "Have you ever known me to drink excessively or take any drug, ever?" he asked. Willow said no, so Drew begged her to give him a chance to prove that something was off about the night before.
Before Kai was taken to surgery, Trina asked for one last moment with her boyfriend. She offered him encouragement before the big moment. Kai was grateful that Trina was now supporting his decision. Finally, Deanna arrived to take Kai to the OR.
Joss and Emma waited at the hospital for news about Kai. They wanted to be moral support for Trina. Joss asked Emma if she wanted to go get coffee, but Emma claimed she was working on her extra credit assignment for Professor Dalton.
Josslyn spotted Vaughn in a corner and approached him. She told him about seeing Professor Dalton with a briefcase entering a lab, as well as seeing him talking to Anna at The Savoy. When Joss returned to where Emma was seated, Emma invited her to a bonfire that evening. Trina then joined them and admitted she was freaking out when Kai was calm.
Trina also complained about Drew's documentary filmmaker. "Drew shouldn't be sending a camera around anybody. After his little performance at The Savoy last night, Drew should be hiding under a rock," Joss remarked. When the filmmaker asked if Joss and Emma could sign a release like Trina did, so he could film them all waiting, Joss and Emma said no. They then sat right next to her, so Trina also didn't have to be filmed.
When the filmmaker was gone, Emma announced she was done with her project. She told Joss it was all on a little flash drive, which clearly gave Josslyn an idea. She met with Vaughn in the elevator and asked him for help stealing the flash drive because she planned to corrupt it.
Back in the waiting area, Trina sat alone until Laura came along. Spencer's grandmother sat with Trina as she waited for news about Kai.
