Here is your General Hospital recap for Monday, May 12, 2025, when Tracy presented Jason with a non-criminal mission.
What happened on General Hospital

Jordan stopped by Lulu's house to see Laura, as Laura thought it would be a neutral place for them to meet to discuss their plans to bring down Sidwell. "Laura, I think you're in big trouble," Jordan admitted. She told Laura about her meeting with Sidwell, Marco, Drew, and Tracy, who were all in support of Sonny losing his piers.
"It's pretty clear they're gunning for you so they can install Boyle as mayor," Jordan said. Laura was disappointed to hear that Tracy didn't defend her. "Strangely enough, in the end, it might be Sidwell who comes to your rescue," Jordan informed Laura. Jordan explained that Sidwell was trying to buy Sonny's piers, which could make the referendum moot.
This only alarmed Laura. "This would effectively make Sidwell the mob boss of Port Charles. If I had to choose between Sonny and Sidwell, I'd choose Sonny any day of the week," Laura said.
Jason was alarmed when Sonny told him he was considering selling his piers to Sidwell. "You know how dangerous this guy is. Do you really feel comfortable handing your territory over to him?" Jason asked.
"Sidwell is not my first choice, but it's the only chance we have to walk away from the business. I've got a heart problem. For our family's sake, I'm not passing it up," Sonny insisted. He felt he could put the money from Sidwell toward legit businesses, but Jason believed it was odd that Sidwell was willing to pay such a high price.
"I want out as much as you do, but I just have a feeling that this is a trap," Jason said. Jason also feared that all the various "five families" would try to get their hands on the territory once he and Sonny left the business. They would even traffic things like drugs, arms, and humans if Sonny weren't around making the rules. Sonny pointed out that selling to Sidwell took care of that problem.
"Sonny, is this what we want for Port Charles. I have experience with this guy. He is ruthless. If we do this, we are essentially handing him the key to the city and putting targets on our backs," Jason warned. He wished there was another option.
"I'm not getting out of the business unless I sell it to you. And you don't want it," Sonny sighed. Sonny was ready to sell, but there was one thing he needed to know first. "Before I make a deal with Sidwell, I need to make sure he's not the one who put a fire bomb in my apartment and hurt Michael," Sonny said.
Sonny later called Laura over to tell her that he was considering selling his piers to Sidwell.
In Portia's office, Curtis was puzzled when Portia suggested he not run a story about Drew's scandal, insinuating that there was no proof that Drew was drugged. "Why are you defending him?" Curtis asked. "Because I have to," Portia blurted out.
Portia quickly covered for herself and told Curtis that she had to stop him from showing his bias against Drew. She claimed to be worried that Drew would sue Curtis if he ran the story. "He can argue that it was an intentional attack. That you wanted to do him harm," she said.
Portia kept on going as she tried to do Drew's bidding, telling Curtis it might look like Aurora was bullying Drew and Willow. "Can you just do what I am asking you to do for my sake?" Portia begged. "What does this have to do with you?" Curtis wondered.
Portia claimed that covering Drew affects her because Willow is her employee. "If you go hard against one of my employees' partners, it could be a bad look for the hospital," Portia said, grasping at straws. After Curtis left, Portia called Drew and told her that he would get what he wanted.
As for Curtis, he met with Jordan at the Brown Dog and told her that he believed Portia was lying to him.
In a rehearsal space, Brook Lynn and Maxie gave Chase and Anna some direction on their rendition of the Tango, which Anna used to always dance with Duke. Maxie insisted the performance had "heat" despite Anna being Chase's boss. Gio arrived late with his violin. Brook Lynn asked him if he was okay. Gio admitted he'd had a rough night.
Gio explained what happened with Rocco and Dante. Brook Lynn tried to be reassuring. "I heard Dante was pretty upset. I hope you're not taking it too personally, though," she said. "I know you guys are trying to look out for me and make me feel better, but I'm good," Gio said with a smile.
Chase, Anna, and Gio walked off to rehearse, leaving Brook Lynn and Maxie with a chance to talk. "I should never have asked you to take sides. Even though Lulu has done one too many things to me, it doesn't give me the right to force you to choose between your friends," Brook Lynn said.
Maxie accepted Brook Lynn's apology and was thrilled to learn that Brook Lynn and Chase had started the process to adopt a child. "Since I am on my way to becoming a parent myself, I thought it was time I started acting like an adult. That means no unnecessary drama and childish demands," Brook Lynn said.
When Emma sat down with Professor Dalton in his office, she was shocked to hear that she didn't get the research assistant position. "I can't have a research assistant who can't put together a decent data model," Dalton said. Emma was stunned when Dalton showed her that her assignment was a mess.
"This isn't my work. Something is really wrong here," Emma said. Dalton didn't care that the file may have been corrupted. Emma was out of the running.
Emma ran to the rehearsal space to find Gio. When she saw him, she broke down crying. Gio suggested that Emma show Dalton the original version that was still on her laptop. "I guess I can try and talk to him," Emma said.
Carly and Josslyn met up at the Metro Court, where Josslyn had a pointed question for her mother. "What's going on with you and Sonny?" she asked. "I am spending time with Donna and she's going on and on about her father is sick," Joss added.
Carly finally admitted she lied about why she accompanied Sonny to Los Angeles with Sonny. She was there because Sonny had to have heart surgery. Josslyn was relieved Sonny would be okay. Carly assured Josslyn that there was nothing romantic going on between her and Sonny. "I'm with Jack now," Carly said. Right on cue, Jack appeared at their table.
Josslyn suddenly received a text from Dalton and made a point of saying he wanted to talk about the research job. Jack would be pleased to know that, but she couldn't let on in front of Carly. When Joss got to Dalton's office, she learned she'd landed the job. However, she needed to sign an NDA before she could get started.
Later, while Josslyn got to work in Dalton's office, Emma walked in, and Josslyn was forced to tell her friend she now worked there.
Back at the Metro Court, Tracy asked Lulu what she was really up to. Lulu denied being up to anything. Tracy told Lulu she didn't want to talk about Laura or politics, so Lulu knew this was about Brook Lynn. Lulu claimed she had no idea that Chase and Brook Lynn were planning to adopt.
"But you did know that she gave up a child when she was young, and it broke her heart. Apparently, you found the shattered pieces in Martin Grey's hotel room, and you have been tormenting her ever since," Tracy said. Lulu claimed the word "tormenting" was an exaggeration, "which is typical Brook Lynn."
Tracy admitted that "tormenting" was her word. "I don't understand how you can not have compassion for the teenager she was. You've been there. You know what that horrible moment is like when you realize you're pregnant and you don't want to be," Tracy said.
Tracy reminded Lulu that her own teenage pregnancy became a public debate. "Your thoughts and feelings were obscured by everybody's opinions, which were not what yours were," Tracy reminded. She asked Lulu why she wanted to add to Brook Lynn's burden.
Lulu defended herself, but Tracy was still annoyed with her stepdaughter. "I don't see why you think you can involve yourself with something that happened to Brook Lynn over 20 years ago," Tracy said. Lulu tried to bring up the fact that Dante was the father, but Tracy shut her down. She just wanted Lulu to consider not writing the adoption story.
"Are you saying I should kill my article?" Lulu asked. "Yes, I think you should. And I love you," Tracy replied. Lulu agreed to talk to Viki Lord and try to sell another story. "But I am only doing this for you," Lulu stressed. After Tracy told Lulu they were done talking, Lulu headed to Carly's table and told her they needed to talk.
Tracy remained at her table and summoned Jason. When he arrived, Tracy gave her nephew a mission. "You have had decades of criminal training. I thought you could put it to good use. My great-grandson. I need you to find him," she said.
Back at the rehearsal space, Tracy's great-grandson played the violin while his mother and her husband danced the Tango just for the heck of it. As for Lulu, she dragged Carly back to her place to tell her that she needed to find Dante's son.
