Jason arrived at Anna's office at her behest, and she acknowledged the anniversary of Sam's death. Anna asked Jason to find out from Bitt if Faison was still alive. Jason thought it was preposterous that Faison was living and breathing, but Anna pointed out that Britt and Nathan are back, so why not their dad?

Anna admitted that after Faison died, she felt she could breathe for the first time in years. "Now, I just kinda feel a familiar feeling in the pit of my stomach, like Faison's presence is closing in on me," Anna said in fear.

Anna acknowledged that she sounded crazy, but Jason understood that Faison had done terrible things to Anna and the people she loved. Jason agreed to talk to Britt about Faison. Anna thanked Jason and told him that he was the only person she felt she could trust at the moment.

"But trust me, I shot Faison. It was not staged. It was real. So, you can trust me when I tell you that man is dead," Jason assured. Anna couldn't shake the feeling that Jason could be wrong. Jason wondered if Sidwell was "using the threat of Faison just to mess with your head." Jason thought the bad guys were trying to distract Anna.

When Anna sat down in her car later, someone reached from behind and chloroformed her. Later, Anna woke in a strange room, cuffed to a metal chair. She shouted for help. Suddenly, she heard Faison's voice through a speaker. "Be at peace, Anna. You're on your way to a new life," the voice said.

At the ax bar, Sonny met up with Justine. She was surprised to learn that he cooked lasagna at the ax bar, so Justin looked forward to a good meal. He even rented out the whole place so they wouldn't be seen in public. Justine asked if this was a trap. She was now in a place with the town crime boss and sharp weapons.

"If you don't feel safe around me, you don't have to stay," Sonny teased. Justine stayed, and they began to throw axes. Justin was impressed with Sonny before proving she had no idea what she was doing. "You throw a hatchet like you throw a softball," Sonny quipped.

The two continued their flirtatious banter and then moved on to the meal that Justine called "mind-blowing." Justine knew she was there so that she would be forced to recuse herself from Willow's case, which, of course, involved Michael.

Justine had no intention of recusing. "I know Alexis and I know what she can do and she's going to put you on trial, Justine," Sonny warned. Justine wasn't moved. Sonny offered another warning: "You're going to earn the wrath of Congressman Cain. He will make sure to end your career."

Sonny claimed he was trying to protect Justine, but she didn't buy it. She knew Sonny wanted Willow to be exonerated and the case to then just go away.

Scout sat moping on Alexis's couch. She told her aunts she didn't want to go trick-or-treating because she was sad. She finally agreed to watch a movie with her aunts, as well as decorate pumpkins. Molly left to get a treat for Scout.

As they decorated, Scout mentioned that her dad never talks about her mom. "He only talks about Willow," Scout said. Kristina told her that she loved talking about Sam and would tell Scout stories if she wanted to hear them.

Scout asked what Kistina missed most about Sam. Kristina told her she missed Sam's sense of adventure, as well as her ability to fix anything. Sam used to tell a sad Kristina to remember that tomorrow could always be a better day. Scout said that it was hard to do sometimes. Kristina assured Scout that her mom was watching over her.

Spinelli and Felicia took James to Bobbie's after trick-or-treating to meet with Nathan. As soon as James saw Cody, he brushed right past Nathan to show Cody his candy haul. Felicia introduced Cody and Nathan to one another. When Nathan noticed that James preferred Cody, he went to sit at a table by himself.

Felicia joined Nathan and asked if he was okay. "Hard to compete with a real-life cowboy," he said. Spinelli and Felicia could tell Nathan was a little hurt, but he understood that James knew Cody better and was attached to him.

Spinelli stressed that James' life shouldn't be disrupted at the moment, with Maxie being in a coma. Nathan understood that meant keeping him in the home he was used to. "As much as I'd like to be his full-time dad right now, I don't think he's reay for that, and neither am I," Nathan stated, much to Spinelli's relief.

At the other table, Cody and James went through James' candy when Molly approached with some baked goods for Scout. Cody walked Molly out to her car, saying that those were some heavy cupcakes, so she might need help. He left James at the table with his family because he knew James should get to know his dad.

James offered Nathan a lollipop, remembering that his favorite flavor was grape. He then told Nathan some trick-or-treat stories, which broke the ice a bit.

When they walked outside, Cody explained to Molly that her cupcakes gave him an excuse to leave so James could spend time with Nathan. Molly was impressed with how thoughtful Cody was.

Back at Alexis' house, Molly mentioned Cody being at Bobbie's, as Kristina noticed that Molly lit up when she said Cody's name.

Danny stopped by Alexis' office and told her he was too old to trick or treat. "Besides, trick-or-treating will just bring back memories of losing mom," he said. Alexis assured Danny that she was there for him and he didn't have to be strong around her.

Danny lamented the Scout and Drew situation, saying it wasn't fair. Alexis agreed. "The worst part is, when my mom went into surgery, the one thing she asked me to do was look after Scout. Now I can't even do that...I screwed up. I let Mom down," Danny said.

Alexis told Danny none of that was his fault. Drew was punishing Danny because he was Jason's son. She blamed the whole mess on Drew, but Danny still felt guilty. "I still feel like I messed up. I couldn't stop myself from ripping into him," Danny said. Alexis told him he was just like Sam.

Danny admitted how much he missed his mom. "Especially tonight. I can't believe she's already been gone a year," he said. Alexis hugged her grandson and said Sam lived on in Danny and Scout. Soon, Jason arrived to take Danny home. Before he left, Danny gave Alexis a treat bag for his sister. Alexis said the candy was Sam's favorite.

Outside Alexis' office, Danny asked Jason where they would be sleeping tonight now that Drew owned the house. Jason told him he had some good news.

After Jason and Danny left, Alexis went home and gave Scout the candy from Danny as they all settled in for a Davis Girls night. They also all ate some candy while toasting to Sam.

Gio was surprised to see Tracy sitting alone in the Quartermaine living room. "I thought Ronnie kicked you out of the house," he said. "There's been a reversal of fortune. In my favor. Apparently, Monica did not give the house to Ronnie. She gave it to me," Tracy said.

Tracy explained the whole story of Marty, Ronnie, and the fake will. When Gio heard that Ronnie had torn up the sale papers before Tracy arrived with the will. He was just glad that the house was staying under Quartermaine ownership, but asked where everyone else was. Tracy told him that she kicked them all out and why.

Gio understood what Tracy was mad at Ronnie, "but she had already come clean." Tracy was appalled that Gio seemed to be siding with Ronnie. He explained that Ronnie had been a regular at Bobbie's for the last few weeks. "I've gotten to know her. She may have made a mistake, but she's still a decent person."

Gio pointed out that no permanent damage had been done. "I just think you should cut her a little slack," Gio suggested. "I'm not in the slack-cutting business," Tracy argued. "If my family can't accept my decision, they're free to live someplace else. The good news is, there's more for you," she added.

Gio told her that he was fine living with his grandfather, to which Tracy replied, "Yeah, you're not safe at Sonny's...Okay, I know. Sonny forever," Tracy mockingly cheered.

Gio then told Tracy his theory on why Monica left her the house. "I think Monica left you the house because she trusted you to hold this family together, Gio said, to which Tracy laughed.

"Why would Monica trust me to keep this family together?" Tracy asked. Gio told Tracy that she'd been doing that all year. "You fought for Michael's children to be here when he was in the hospital. You saved the crypt and you saved this house from being sold," Gio pointed out.

Tracy said she was always up for a good fight. "I'm not the glue to keep this together. I'm too...harsh and unforgiving," Tracy admitted. Gio thought that meant Tracy knew she was wrong, but she balked at that idea. "They picked Monica's sister over me," she angrily said.

"They didn't," Gio reasoned. "All they did was ask you to acknowledge that she is part of the family and be a little nicer, but that's not picking her over you. That's expecting you to act with generosity. That's what the head of the family does. Whether you're ready or not, you are the head of the Quartermaines now."

Tracy argued that it wasn't a job she was suited for. Gio disagreed. "Admit it, you need them as much as they need you," he said. A choked-up Tracy finally confessed that Gio was right. Just then, Jason and Danny arrived home. Danny asked where everyone was.

"I don't know," Tracy said as she looked over at Gio. "Hopefully, they will all be home soon."
