What happened on General Hospital

Emma and Gio were at the Bad Jen Café. She was happy about gaining Professor Dalton’s trust. They were confident they’d bring Dalton down together. Emma knew Dalton stopped at the Café every night after work and was anticipating his arrival.
After Dalton arrived, Emma gave him the piece of pistachio cheesecake she knew was his favorite. Charlotte came in with Outback’s leash and asked Gio if he’d heard from Rocco. Before she left again, she told Gio about Rocco having to go to the ER and that she still hadn’t found Outback.
Dalton said he had a secret to tell Emma, but was interrupted by a phone call. On the phone, he’d said he’d be around to accept something that was coming in that night. After, he told Emma he’d see her tomorrow when everything would be revealed. She asked what the secret was, but instead of the truth, he told her they used sheep’s milk in the lattes there. After he left, Emma told Gio she finally got Dalton, but Gio had to share the bad news about Outback being missing.
At the hospital, Elizabeth brought Liesl back to consciousness after she fainted. Liesl thought she’d hallucinated until she saw Britta again, who confirmed to her mutter that she was, indeed, really there. Overcome with emotion, she embraced her tightly and wanted to know how her being there was possible.
Britt said there would be plenty of time to get into how she was alive, but, for now, she just wanted to enjoy the moment. Dante felt it wasn’t a good idea for Britt to be there right now, and they traded barbs before Nina intervened. Lulu quietly slipped over to ask Elizabeth if she would keep Rocco in the exam room for a bit. Britt heard her and said, “Hang on, Ben’s here, in the hospital?”
In one of the treatment rooms, Lucas and Rocco talked as he was finishing stitching him up. Elizabeth came in to stall so they could keep Rocco in the room a little longer. Back by the nurse’s desk, Britt asked about Rocco, but Dante told her their son was not her business. Before things escalated, Nina intervened again, asking Liesl and Britt to come home with her.
Britt said she was at the hospital to re-up her meds. Before they could walk off, Lulu said she’d really like for her and Dante to be able to explain the situation to Rocco before he saw Britt because it would be a shock to him. Britt remained snarky, saying things like “God forbid the baby I brought into the world gets a glimpse of me.”
Sensing the building confrontation, Liesl quickly told Nina they’d take her up on her offer to go back to her place. After they left, a panicked Lulu asked what they were going to do. As much as Dante didn’t like it, he said they had to be upfront with Rocco.
Back in the treatment room, Elizabeth saw Britt, Liesl, and Nina leave, so they finished up. Rocco and his parents left for home, where Dante said they were going to chat about some things.
After Rocco left the room, Elizabeth told Lucas, “The Britch is back!” Lucas was in disbelief but finally accepted it was true. He said he had to call Brad, but Elizabeth convinced him it was the last thing he needed because things were going so well for him and Marco.
Nina brought Britt and Liesl back to her penthouse and offered that Britt could stay as long as she needed. An overwhelmed Liesl stared at Britt. She told Britt she’d relied on her dreams because Britt had appeared to her in her dreams all the time. Britt assured her she was home and with her. Nina asked where she’d been and what she’d been doing.
Britt said it was a really long story, and she was exhausted. Nina said they could catch up tomorrow, but Liesl refused to wait another moment. Britt said that, before Josslyn was attacked on the pier, she was approached about a research project out of the country. At first, she turned it down, but claimed she kept thinking of Liesl’s impending heartbreak from having to watch her die from Huntington’s.
Britt said the attack from Heather Webber was real, but her dying wasn’t. She admitted to being in on it and told Liesl she was protecting her from the agony of watching her deteriorate. Liesl bitterly and sarcastically yelled, “Watching you die in my arms was much better,” and accused her of playing god with their hearts and their lives.
Britt said, “Wonder where I got that from?”, but then told Liesl she was home, she loved her, and did all of it for her. Liesl yelled that Britt was only thinking of herself and tortured the people who loved her in the process, and slapped her across the face.
When they got back to Lulu’s house, Rocco could tell his parents were acting weirdly, but he was worried about finding their dog. Dante told him they had to talk before he went to bed, and Charlotte came downstairs to ask if they had found Outback.
Lulu said she’d help find Outback tomorrow, but, for now, she and Dante needed to tell them something. They told Rocco and Charlotte about seeing Britt Westbourne at the hospital, but they didn’t have other details. Rocco asked if Dr. Obrecht knew, and Dante said she didn’t. Next, Rocco asked if Britt was there when he was getting stitches.
When they said she was, he wanted to know why he didn’t get to see her and if they were keeping her from him. They explained that everyone was overwhelmed, so Britt left with Liesl and Nina. Dante said it was a lot, and Lulu said they needed to take things slow. Rocco didn’t seem happy about it.
Back in town, Jason arrived at Anna’s PCPD office to find her talking with Carly. Skipping through pleasantries with Carly, he told Anna he needed to speak with her alone. As soon as she left, he asked Anna how long she had known Josslyn was in the WSB.
Anna said she knew for a few months and explained how she found out. She said Jack Brennan threatened her with charges of treason, but Jason was still angry she didn’t tell him, and was not happy being manipulated by her. He said she shouldn’t have sent him to Croatia blind.
Anna claimed she didn’t have a choice, and the only way she could protect Josslyn was to send Jason in. She told him she didn’t know Josslyn had signed up at first and, then, didn’t have the power to do anything about it. Anna sensed Josslyn had joined the WSB by choice, but they both felt she’d been manipulated into making that choice.
Anna told Jason they both knew what it was like to be manipulated onto a life path and wondered what type of people each of them would have been if they’d been left alone. Defensively, Jason said Sonny was there for him, always had been, and gave him a sense of purpose. Then, she said, Sonny put a gun in his hand just like the Bureau put one in hers. Anna felt Sonny and the Bureau could see she and Jason were the type of people to do what it took to belong and have a purpose.
It was hard for Jason to think that Brennan saw something similar in Josslyn. Anna said it had to have been something so important that Brennan was willing to risk his relationship with Carly. When she said Carly couldn’t imagine how Jack had betrayed her, Jason said it sounded a lot like what she did to him.
Anna knew Jason would feel like she betrayed him, but again, claimed not to have any choices. He said she did, but chose the easy one. She said if he thought it was easy for her to keep him in the dark, then he really didn’t know her at all.
When Anna asked if Jason was going to tell Carly, he said he couldn’t because he’d made a promise to Josslyn. He wished she had told him before, so he could have let Carly know before he made that promise. Having said everything she could and answered his questions, she felt there was nothing else she could do. But, she did want to know what happened in Croatia. Jason told her that if she wanted answers, she should go ask her friend, Jack Brennan.
Brick met with Sonny at his office to let him know he’d completed Sonny’s request regarding Judge Heran’s bank account. Now, instead of it looking like the money came from Sonny, it would look like it came from Drew. Brick told him the wire transfer paper with account numbers linking Drew with Judge Heran was left in Drew’s safe.
Saying he moved, “like a ghost”, Brick let Sonny know he was out of Drew’s house long before the shooting occurred. After leaving the PCPD, Carly came to see Sonny. Always happy to see her, Brick gave a huge hug and talked with her about his cold plunging. Carly told Sonny Jason was back, which he already knew. When she told him Jason was with Anna, he asked how she knew and what kind of business she had with the commissioner.
Carly explained that she went to Anna about her threat to kill Drew because she knew Anna would find out anyway and wanted to get ahead of it. Brick said it was smart but risky to volunteer anything to the police. Sonny realized Carly did it to try to pull attention away from Michael as a suspect.
Brick asked if she thought her son shot Drew. She said Michael was not a violent person, and Sonny said he’d never shoot someone in the back. They all knew Drew would try to accuse Michael of the shooting and do everything he could to destroy him in the process.
Brick asked if Michael had an alibi, but they didn’t know. Brick was going to see what he could do to help, Sonny said they needed to get ahead of Drew’s accusation, and Carly said they also needed to protect Michael from the fallout of Drew’s accusation. Sonny said Drew could say whatever he wanted about Michael, but sooner or later, his word was “gonna mean jack with the cops.”
In Sydney, Australia, Josslyn and Vaughn came back from surfing to the beach hut where they were staying. Post sex, they talked in bed about the intensity between them. Vaughn said, because they almost died the night before, it was as if everything was in high definition.
After having sex again, Josslyn asked what was going to happen when they went back to the real world. He said Brennan couldn’t know about them. As they began to kiss again, someone barged in the door and they both pulled their guns. To their surprise, they were pointing their guns at Brennan.
Brennan said, “Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Nash. I’ll give you a minute,” and walked out to let them get dressed. After putting their clothes on, Vaughn opened the door to let Brennan back in. Angry, Brennan said they needed to tell him everything that happened at the Five Poppies, starting with Britt Westbourne.
They explained discovering Britt was alive and everything that followed, and Brennan told them about Colette. When he asked how they were still alive, Vaughn said they were going to be used as human test guinea pigs for radiation experiments. Then, when Brennan asked how they escaped, Joss had to admit that Jason saved them.
Brennan was angry and confused about how Jason found out. He yelled that it was supposed to be a recon mission, but instead they risked their lives, defied his orders, and had nothing to show for it.
