What happened on General Hospital

Kristina went to see Ava at her apartment to let her know Elizabeth responded to Ric’s email by saying she understood why Ric was taking time away. Kristina was still worried that Elizabeth might go looking for him, but Ava said Elizabeth wouldn’t want anything to do with Ric once she talked to Willow. She went on to explain that when she emailed Nina’s invoice from Ric, she also BCCed Willow, which meant Willow would find out Nina was paying Ric, and Elizabeth would eventually find out he wasn’t working pro bono.
Kristina thought that it was a good move, but questioned how Ava felt about throwing her friend, Nina, under the bus. Ava claimed not to like doing it, but said sacrifices had to be made. Lucas got home and was confused as to why Kristina would be there. She covered by pretending to have asked Ava for permission to take Avery to dance class and left.
A bit worn out from the day, Lucas told Ava that “a dead woman walked into the ER”. Ava wasn’t surprised when he told her Britt was still alive and said, considering Britt’s family tree, it would be more of a surprise if she hadn’t turned up alive. Ava was curious why Britt’s resurrection interested Lucas, though. He told her about Britt and Brad being best friends and literal partners in crime. He said they brought out each other’s worst impulses, and he just had to endure it.
Lucas talked about Brad’s grief over Britt’s death, but now questioned if Brad knew Britt was alive the whole time and if he used Lucas’ sympathy for his fake grief to get him back. Ava wondered how long Brad would stay away now that his best friend was back.
Willow showed up at Nina’s penthouse under the guise of asking for help with her lawyer. She told Nina she was surprised she didn’t know about Ric leaving for his “digital detox” retreat since she was the one paying for him to represent her. After Nina admitted to paying Ric, Willow berated her for going against her wishes. Nina said she did it because Willow needed a shark like Ric to go against Michael. Willow said Ric tried to get her cut Drew out and accused Nina of making him do that.
Nina reminded Willow that Michael told her in no uncertain terms that she would never see her children as long as Drew was in the picture, so, yes, she instructed Ric to advise her to keep her distance from Drew. Nina advised Willow that she needed to stay away from “that man”. Willow questioned why she would take advice from Nina because she had only ever lied to her in order to control her. Willow claimed Nina hated that she wasn’t in charge of her life, but Nina said Willow wasn’t in charge of it either. She told her to “Wake up! The only person calling the shots is Drew because you keep letting him.”
Nina felt Willow kept blaming her because she refused to believe what was right in front of her face…that she threw her life away for a terrible man. Willow said it wouldn’t have happened if Nina had just told her the truth.
Nina questioned whether it would have made a difference. She said she used to believe it would, but now she didn’t. “How dare you continue to blame me and everyone else for your own failure to see what was right in front of you”, said Nina, who then went on to claim, “You could find a freezer full of heads in his basement, and you’d still go on about what a good man Drew is,” Willow claimed she saw him for who he was now and had a mind of her own, but Nina asked when was the last time she really used it.
Willow said Drew had power and influence, but Nina said the power and influence he had was over her, and he always used the children to get her to do what he wanted.
Willow accused Nina of being the one who stood by and watched her do it. Nina said she should thank her because people always told her she only cared about what she wanted, she didn’t give a damn who got hurt, and she never took responsibility for her own actions…Before she could finish, Willow said they were right, to which Nina responded, “Yeah, like mother, like daughter, I guess.”
Willow declared she was nothing like Nina, and she could try to blame Drew for everything, but she was the one responsible. “You and your secrets and your lies have taken everything from me”, Willow exclaimed, “Well, maybe someone should do that to you.”
Gio and Emma were at the Brown Dog bar. He convinced the bartender to put up a flyer to find Outback. He told Emma they should offer a cash reward. She wanted to ask Tracy for the money, but wasn’t ready to be around Tracy, so he wanted to ask Sonny.
Emma got a call from someone who said they had info about Outback. They left quickly, but later, returned with Outback’s collar and no real lead.. Emma was worried somebody would find her and take her to a kill shelter. She felt responsible and was losing hope. Gio comforted her. They almost kissed, but pulled back. Gio reminded her that she wasn’t someone to give up. She realized he was right. She grabbed the flyers and told him they were going to go back out and look for Outback.
Elizabeth met with Molly, who asked if she’d heard from Ric. Molly thought it was weird for him to go on a digital detox. Elizabeth said she felt the same at first but then thought it seemed like it would be good for him. Molly talked about how much her dad cared for Elizabeth and how good she was for him. When Elizabeth said he’d broken up with Ava, Molly said she knew, and it was because of her sister Kristina.
Molly told Elizabeth about Kristina paying Cody to break up her dad and Ava. Elizabeth claimed the plan wouldn’t have fully worked because, as much as she cared about Ric, they were much better as friends. Molly said she respected that and would stop trying to force the two of them together, but felt she was a good influence on her dad.
Elizabeth told Molly not to sell her dad short, who she felt had been trying to be a better person since he got back to town. She said he was fighting really hard for Willow, pro bono, which she felt spoke really well of him.
Jason ran into Britt on Pier 54. She again told him she wanted him to stay away from her. He said he wasn’t following her, but was there because Danny and Rocco had found a dead body there a couple of days before. Britt said Rocco was a stupid name and he’d always be Ben to her.
Jason explained how Dante and Sam raised Rocco and Danny together for a while, so they considered each other brothers. When she asked what Rocco was like, he suggested she find out for herself. She said Dante and Lulu wouldn’t go for that and just wanted to know a little bit about him. Jason said he was thoughtful, perceptive, kind, deep, loves baseball, and was pretty responsible. Britt said he was nothing like her.
Britt acknowledged Rocco was never really her son, and said she was just his surrogate, “or thief” if she was being honest. It was late, and Jason didn’t want to leave Britt on the pier alone. He asked where she was staying and offered to take her there.
She didn’t want Jason’s help and said Brad would be happy to take her in. He informed her that Brad didn’t live in Port Charles anymore. She claimed to be a resourceful woman and that she would figure something out. He reminded her that she still had a friend in him. She told him she had enough money for a room at the Pine Cone Motel, but Jason said it was condemned last year for black mold. He said he was going to find her a place to stay.
Brook Lynn arrived at Maxie’s house to relieve Lulu. After getting updated about the kids, Brook Lynn was ready to take over, but Lulu couldn’t hold her frustration any longer. She told Brook Lynn that “the Britch” was back.
Brook Lynn was shocked to hear Britt was alive. She started to apologize for Rocco finding out, but Lulu interrupted. Lulu said she was still upset about Brook Lynn’s part in Rocco finding out about Britt, but told her she was right when she claimed all she did was move up the inevitable truth coming out. She said whether she liked it or not, Rocco was even more curious about Britt now that she was alive.
Feeling Britt was completely self-centered and didn’t give a damn about Rocco, she worried that Rocco would open up to her like he did Liesl, but Britt would reject him. She didn’t want Rocco to get hurt even more.
Lulu recounted that the only reason Britt stole her embryo in the first place was to get pregnant to try to trap Patrick Drake. Brook Lynn said what Britt did was a violation, but on the bright side, Rocco knew how much she and Dante loved him and that they only wanted what was best for him. Lulu said if she tried to keep Rocco and Britt apart, in Rocco’s eyes, she’d be the bad guy and he’d be even more curious about Britt.
Even if meeting Britt hurt Rocco, Brook Lynn said he’d have Lulu and Dante backing him no matter what happened, which meant he would be fine. After Lulu thanked her, Brook Lynn also offered to step more at Maxie’s so Lulu could have the time she needed with Rocco.
Felicia brought James to see Cody at the Quartermaine stables. James had a bad dream at home and asked to be brought to see Cody. He dreamed that he was looking for his mother but couldn’t find her anywhere. When he woke up, he realized she wasn’t there but far away. He felt it was his fault his mom wasn’t waking up.
James remembered his mother telling him that he had almost gave her heart failure when he had jumped off the roof and broken his arm. Because of that and because he always made her worry, he thought her heart was sick. Cody and Felicia explained how that wasn’t how it worked. They told him his mother wants him to be more careful, but wouldn’t want him to stop having adventures. Cody had an idea to plan James’ next adventure. He said they would arrange for him to ride Comet. Felicia said it was a marvelous idea.
After leaving Ava’s, Kristina went to see Cody. He apologized for ruining her plan, which she readily accepted and said it ended up working out. But she was actually there to talk with him about Molly and wanted to know where they stood with each other. Cody told her Molly was cordial with him now, but Cordial Molly told him not to call unless it was an emergency.
Kristina said nothing scared Molly more than feelings, which is how she knew Molly still cared about him. He said he was going to respect her wishes and leave her alone. Aggravated, he asked Kristina to leave so he could finish cleaning the stables. Kristina could tell how much he liked Molly. After she left, Cody finished the stables and made himself a sandwich. He put it down to get a beer, and when he turned back, the sandwich was gone. He found Outback in the stable room eating it.
