Dante and Anna were at the hospital waiting outside Nathan’s room, who was being treated by Lucas and Elizabeth. All of them knew it looked like Nathan, but none of them were positive it was him. Dante remained convinced of Nathan’s death, but Anna said that, given Britt had just turned up alive, it couldn’t be a coincidence.

In the room, Lucas told Dante and Anna he’d ordered tests for the patient, but he looked to be in good shape. Lucas wasn’t certain why he was still unconscious, but said he suffered a brain injury and they’d have a better sense of everything after a CT scan.

Anna asked Lucas to give a blood sample from the patient to an officer so he could bring it to the lab to run a DNA test. She also told the officer to take fingerprints. Lucas, Elizabeth, Dante, and Anna considered what they needed to do next. Elizabeth wondered how this would affect James and Maxie, whose status remained unchanged. Lucas and Dante wondered if they should inform Britt and Liesl, but Anna said she wanted to keep everything completely quiet until they knew exactly what was going on. For now, the patient would be considered a John Doe.

A bit later, Dante and Anna were discussing the situation. Dante felt that Nathan being alive was impossible. Conversely, Anna said that Britt and Nathan were the children of Liesl Obrecht and Cesar Faison, so nothing was impossible.

Dante spoke to the crash officer, who said he was going to run the plates from the truck. He questioned whether they should inform the WSB, but Anna said she wanted to have a much better grasp of the situation first and was still open to the possibility that “John Doe” wasn’t Nathan.

Lucas said the CT scan showed no signs of swelling around the brain, but since the patient suffered a head trauma, they had to wait to assess any neurological deficits until after he woke up. Anna got a call from the officer who let her know the prints matched Nathan West. The DNA test still needed to be completed, though.

Rocco and Charlotte were at Bobbie’s when Britt walked in. Rocco and Britt introduced themselves. Charlotte introduced herself and then went outside to wait for their mom. Britt and Rocco made small talk, and she let him know she’d seen pictures of him on her mother’s MyFace page. He told her that she could follow him as well if she wanted to know more about him.

Outside, Lulu arrived, and Charlotte told her that Rocco was inside talking to Britt. Lulu thanked Charlotte for telling her before she walked in and complimented what a smart person she was. She expressed her gratitude for having Charlotte and Rocco as her children.

Back inside, Britt said she would do her best to answer any questions Rocco had, but Rocco said it would be better to talk another time because he was pretty sure his mom was waiting for him. She told him not to give up hope on finding his dog, and he left. Lulu and Charlotte met Rocco outside. He said Britt was nice, but it was kind of a lot, and asked if they could go home.

Upstairs, in her room at Bobbie’s, there was a package left on the bed for Britt. She was shocked, staring at what was in the box, when Lulu knocked at the door. She quickly hid the box before answering. When Britt asked her what she wanted, she said she was there to make peace for Rocco’s sake.

Britt told Lulu to say whatever vaguely threatening thing she wanted and leave because she’d had a long day. Lulu told her that Rocco wanted to get to know her and, despite her many misgivings, she was trying to stay open to the idea but wanted to set some guidelines to protect him. Britt scoffed at the idea of Lulu feeling like she needed to set guidelines and said she didn’t want Rocco to get hurt either.

For a moment, Lulu thought that meant she and Britt were on the same page. Instead, Britt asked, “Where do you get off trying to set ‘guidelines’ about how and when I get to see my son?” Lulu questioned why she and Liesl suddenly both felt they had any right to a relationship with Rocco. “He’s not your son. Got it? You are nothing more than a test tube”, said Lulu. Britt said she carried Rocco in her body for nine months and was connected to him in more ways than Lulu ever was or would be.

Lulu told Britt she knew nothing about her relationship with her son, but Britt said she had birthed him, nursed him, and raised him for almost a year. When Britt went on to say “that young man” wouldn’t exist if it hadn’t been for her, Lulu yelled that it was because she stole her and Dante’s embryo. With zero contrition, Britt said their embryo was just languishing in cryo-storage.

Britt yelled that she and Rocco had a bond, and whether Lulu liked it or not, they would establish a relationship without any constraints from her. Lulu said she tried to give Britt the benefit of the doubt because she had been told how much she’d grown as a person, that she was a good co-chief of staff, and she saved Josslyn Jax’s life. Now, Lulu considered them “one-offs” because Britt still seemed to be the same toxic, self-involved witch she’d always been.

Lulu went on to accuse Britt of not caring at all that she left her own mother to grieve when she faked her death and claimed she didn’t care about anyone but herself. Britt told Lulu she could hate her all she wanted, but felt it was clear that she was threatened by her, “because in your heart you know I am every bit a mother, just as much as you are, to Rocco. Maybe even more.”

Lulu told Britt she was not Rocco’s mother in any way, shape, or form and was “nothing more than an incubator for stolen goods.” When Lulu claimed Britt was nothing to her child, Britt smugly said, “Not for long.” She said she had all kinds of stories from when Rocco was a baby, that kids love to hear their own baby stories, and she couldn’t wait to share them with him.

Lulu responded by saying that it would never happen and called her a psycho. As she went to leave, she told Britt to stay away from Rocco. Britt yelled, “his name is Ben,” and slammed the door. After Lulu left, Britt opened the box again. The note read, “Don’t forget to take your medicine. C”. The box contained bottles of her experimental medicine.

Molly asked Alexis to meet her at Haven’s Bistro. She wanted to talk to her mom about her developing feelings for Cody. Alexis admitted she wasn’t surprised and had figured there was a bit of spark behind Molly’s outrage toward Cody. Molly felt everything Cody did was convoluted and backwards, but at the end of the day, he had a good heart, which he proved again with Outback. She told Alexis about Outback and how Cody even refused to take Sonny’s $10,000 reward money.

Alexis could sense Molly was conflicted. Molly said Cody could be funny, charming, and sweet, but that he could also be frustrating and unpredictable. She was worried that if she pursued things with him, she’d regret it. Alexis said he seemed like a good guy, so maybe she should take a little risk.

Brook Lynn interrupted Gio and Emma, kissing in the Quartermaine Stables. She came to find Cody, who showed up moments after. Brook Lynn shared the news of Monica’s death. Cody said it was clear to see how much everyone loved and respected her…especially the little guys. “You could hear Wiley, Scout, and Amelia just running down the hall to her room. This is going to be very rough on him”, he said.

Emma offered her sympathies to Brook Lynn and her family. Brook Lynn said she was most worried about Tracy losing someone so important to her. After they talked for a little bit, Brook Lynn, Gio, and Emma were getting ready to leave. Cody asked if he could have a moment to say goodbye to his girl, Outback.

As Cody was saying his goodbyes, Brook Lynn said they should let Outback live there. She reasoned that Rocco lived at the Quartermaines' half of the time anyway, so they should just ask if he minded Outback living there as well. Outback could be at the Quartermaines with Rocco, and when Rocco was at Lulu’s, Cody could take care of her.

Emma called Rocco, who said he and Charlotte were cool with Outback staying at the Quartermaines. Cody was excited and said the Princess of Port Charles had found a new castle. Before Rocco left with Emma, he asked Brook Lynn to give Tracy his condolences. Cody hoped Emma and Gio would be around more to see Outback, which would give Brook Lynn a chance to bond with Gio more.

Michael met with Sonny and Carly at Sonny’s house to tell them about Monica’s passing. They offered their comfort and support to Michael, who was still in a bit of shock. As they were talking, Michael got a call from the funeral home. Carly and Sonny worried about how hard the year had been on him. After Michael got off the phone, he talked about how much there was still to do and the fact that he still had to tell the kids. Carly and Sonny encouraged him to take it slow, give himself a moment to grieve first, and let them take care of him for now.

Michael told Carly and Sonny that he and Monica had talked in depth about the custody battle over him when he was a kid. He acknowledged that Monica had a lot to say about them, but he had let her know he felt he wouldn’t be half the man he was today if it weren’t for the two of them. He said, eventually, Monica conceded, grudgingly, that it was possible Sonny and Carly didn’t completely ruin his life. Sonny said, coming from Monica, it was a ringing endorsement. Carly hoped Monica knew how much they respected her. They toasted to Monica.

Lucy showed up at the Quartermaine Mansion to speak with Tracy, who slammed the door in her face. Lucy yelled through the door until Tracy let her in. In the living room, Tracy shocked Lucy with the news of Monica’s death.

Lucy was saddened to hear the news. As Tracy started to talk about the many things she needed to do, Lucy gave her an alcoholic drink and told her she needed it right now. As Lucy went on about how much she loved the house and Monica’s taste, Tracy harshly reminded her that she’d had an affair with Alan and married him while wearing red, which she so happened to be wearing again at the moment.

Lucy claimed she was a different woman back then who didn’t know her own power and strength. She’d thought marrying Alan Quartermaine would solve all of her problems, but their marriage obviously turned out to be a disaster. They both said Alan was always in love with Monica, even when he dropped the roof on her and Rick Webber. Tracy said, despite Monica and Alan’s infidelities, they were the love of each other’s lives.

Tracy and Lucy went on to talk about what a brilliant, renowned doctor Monica was. Tracy said she’d had a life well lived, and Lucy thought it would be nice to think that Alan and Monica were reunited once again. They toasted to Monica. After Lucy left, Tracy broke down and cried on the staircase.
