What Happened on General Hospital?

This week on General Hospital, Molly told Alexis that Kristina had hired Cody to seduce Ava away from Ric, and while the plan worked, she ended up developing feelings for him. At the Quartermaine stables, Brook Lynn interrupted Gio and Emma kissing before Cody revealed he had found Outback. Brook Lynn told them Monica died. Tracy looked through Monica’s photos when Lucy barged in about the Deception business, but Tracy told her Monica had died. They reminisced about Alan and Monica’s complicated but enduring love before toasting to Monica. Tracy later broke down in tears on the staircase that Alan had wanted Monica to have. Michael told Carly and Sonny about Monica’s death, and they toasted Monica. Britt met Rocco for the first time, and he told her he was glad to finally meet her. Lulu later confronted Britt about not trusting her around Rocco. Afterward, Britt found a ribboned box in her room containing medication and a note reminding her to take it, signed ‘C.’ Dante and Anna were stunned when an unconscious John Doe resembled Nathan West. Liz was equally shocked, and Lucas ordered tests as Anna called for DNA and fingerprints; the results confirmed the man was Nathan. Anna remarked that it couldn’t be a coincidence with Britt’s return and planned to question her. Jason told Britt about Monica’s death. At the Quartermaine mansion, no one could find Tracy, and Michael discovered her car, bag, and jewelry were gone. Ned admitted he had never seen his mother so fragile, and Lulu realized she might know where Tracy went. At General Hospital, Martin admitted to Stella that he cut a deal with Drew to protect her. Marshall returned from his tour and urged the family to stay united. Curtis insisted the police had no evidence against him, but Portia grew tense when Dante questioned him about his timeline and heard he had met with Jordan that night. Nina refused to believe it when Anna told her Nathan was alive. When Felicia saw Nathan, she dropped her papers in shock, while Nina peered in and broke down at the sight of her cousin. Anna said the DNA confirmed his identity, but no one could explain how Nathan was alive. Nina eventually went into the room, took Nathan’s hand, and he stirred awake, smiling as she cried. Drew told Martin he would not let the family cut him out of Monica’s will. When Nathan woke up, Isaiah confirmed he was stable, with only a healed gunshot scar on his chest. Nathan recalled being shot by Faison, but when told that happened seven years ago, he was stunned to learn he had been declared dead and even buried. He realized he had no memory of the missing years and insisted he needed to see Maxie. Portia told Jordan that her marriage was over. Later, she told Isaiah she wanted to explore a future with him, but he reminded her they hadn’t defined their relationship and he didn’t want to jeopardize his job. Curtis admitted to Marshall that he no longer trusted Portia. In Atlantic City, Tracy drowned her grief in gambling until Lois appeared and insisted she had to be at Monica’s funeral. Tracy said she was done with funerals and burying people she loved. Nina told Nathan that Maxie was in a coma but that he had a son named James. James told Felicia he wished Cody were his father. Portia and Isaiah agreed to keep seeing one another in secret. Martin found Drew dressed in a suit, determined to attend despite his injuries and the family’s objections. Guests gathered at the church as Laura, Lulu, Portia, Stella, Kristina, Lucy, Felicia, and others paid their respects, while Jason insisted on personally thanking each individual who came. Ned opened by saying Monica had wanted this day to be a celebration, not a time of sorrow. He read her letter, which asked them to share happy memories and reminded them she had a wonderful life filled with love. Liz spoke about Monica’s legacy, Laura remembered meeting Monica as a teenager, Felicia recalled Monica’s strength through illness, and Laura added that Monica’s struggles with loss, cancer, and alcoholism made her even more resilient. When Tracy refused to speak, Lucy got up to speak and reflected on their rivalry, their bond over the Nurses Ball, and their shared love for Alan, ultimately saying she was comforted to think Monica was reunited with him. Finally, Jason took the podium, acknowledging Monica’s unconditional love and how she chose to be his mother despite his resistance. He admitted he wasted time pushing her away, but knew she never stopped believing in him, and he thanked her for being the heart of their family before telling her he loved her one last time. Michael spoke last and shared how lucky he felt to have Monica in his life. As he was wrapping up, the service was interrupted when Drew burst in from the back in his wheelchair. Tracy told Drew he wasn’t invited, wheeled him out, and told him that his presence was detested. She finally got up and spoke, pushing through her tears, and admitted to everyone that she had grown to respect and love Monica. She then looked at Monica’s picture, and her final words were to reassure her late sister-in-law that the house would always be hers because Alan gave it to her. Drew told Martin that he wasn’t a Quartermaine and admitted he would lie and blame Michael for his shooting. Gio showed up at the Quartermaine mansion to pay his respects and admitted to Tracy that he saw a different side of the family at the funeral and was proud to be a member of it. Drew told Martin that when karma catches up with the Quartermaine family, he’s going to have a front row seat. The Quartermaine family toasted one last goodbye to Monica. Jason looked heavenward and told Monica that he loved her and that she would always be his mother. Monica’s best moments were shown in a montage. In the final moments of Friday’s episode, Tracy confronted a woman lurking in the Quartermaine crypt, asking who she was. It was a lady who said she was someone who had been waiting quite a while to meet Tracy Quartermaine. This was the General Hospital debut of Erika Slezak.
