Here’s your General Hospital recap on what happened in Port Charles today, Thursday, September 4, 2025.
What happened on General Hospital

At the Davis house, Ava brought the sleeping pills she got from Lucas. She gave them to Kristina to use on Ric to keep him “nice and docile” during his stay at Casa Davis. They were surprised to hear a knock at the door that late in the evening. It was Dante who came to ask questions about the attempted murder of Drew.
When Alexis walked in from the kitchen/back door area, Dante told her about Drew and asked if she could account for her whereabouts earlier. Alexis remained calm, but told him she wasn’t going to answer any questions without counsel present. Since he didn’t have a warrant or intent to arrest her, she asked him to leave.
Dante said it didn’t look good to not answer his questions, but she remained quiet. He then said someone would contact her about scheduling an interview with her lawyer present and left. Ava was practically giddy about hearing Drew and thought the credit belonged to Alexis.
Alexis said she was actually “downstairs with our house guest all night”. Enjoying the moment, Ava said that “nothing says ‘I’m innocent’ like slipping in through the back door.” Alexis told Ava and Kristina they were going to be her alibi.
At her apartment, Trina was looking at the copy of Heather Webber’s test results that Kai found at Drew’s house. Trina was surprised her mother went to such extremes to protect her and, alluding to Drew’s shooting, asked Kai if he thought Portia was capable of doing something more extreme.
Kai reassured her that he didn’t think her mom would shoot Drew who had a number of enemies who were far more dangerous than Portia. They felt the evidence of the test results needed to be destroyed so no one could connect them or Portia to Drew’s shooting. As they lit the results on fire in the kitchen sink, Aunt Stella knocked at the door. She was worried because she hadn’t heard from Curtis since he dropped her off at home. Kai got a call from Anna about Drew and left for the hospital. Stella told Trina she was afraid Curtis might have shot Drew.
Nina arrived at the hospital looking for Willow, who wondered how Nina knew Drew was shot if she didn’t hear it on the news. Nina, looking a bit suspicious, said she came to the hospital to see Willow and overheard some nurses talking about Drew.
Anna and Chase were talking about Drew’s shooting and the need to get out ahead of the media coverage and scrutiny. Anna wanted to secure their witnesses and all of the evidence before the media circus started. They began to compile a list of suspects: Alexis Davis, Carly Spencer, Michael Corinthos, Sonny Corinthos, Curtis Ashford, Willow Tait, and Nina Reeves.
Anna asked Chase if he could still be objective if Willow were a suspect. Chase said he didn’t think Willow would be capable of something like murder, but he could remain objective.
They went over to ask Willow some questions about her whereabouts. Willow said she’d been at the hospital except for when she went for a walk after getting the upsetting news of Judge Heran’s murder.
When Anna asked if Willow was alone on her walk, Nina lied and said she was with her. Anna looked skeptical and said they would need to question them separately, but Nina said she wasn’t going to leave her daughter and volunteered to answer their questions there without a lawyer. Nina weakly improvised the fake details of walking with Willow. After Anna and Chase walked off, Anna said they were both lying but they currently needed to concentrate on Michael, his timeline, and his whereabouts during the shooting.
Willow was angry that Nina lied. When Nina said she did it to give Willow an alibi, Willow accused her of doing it to actually give herself one instead. They argued about who had more cause to shoot Drew.
Anna called Kai to tell him about Drew and ask him to come to the hospital to answer a few questions. When Kai arrived, she asked if he’d noticed any altercations or meetings with Drew that didn’t go so well. She then asked if he and anyone else had a key to Drew’s house. He said he did as well as Scout, Chelsea (nanny), Wanda (housekeeper), Willow, and maybe Alexis Davis. She appreciated his help.
Meanwhile, in the O.R., Lucas and Portia were scrubbing in for Drew’s surgery. They needed to find two bullets that were close to his spine. Portia maintained a strange look on her face but stayed professional. They removed the first bullet successfully, but the second bullet was deeper and up against his spine and an artery. Lucas warned that if they didn’t time the removal of the bullet and stop the bleeding perfectly, it could kill Drew.
As they were about to start on the second bullet, she flashed back to Drew trying to get her to alter Michaels’ test results. Immediately after Lucas extracted the bullet, Portia said it must have been lodged in the artery because he was hemorrhaging. Drew quickly slipped into V-Tach and crashed.
As Nina and Willow were arguing, Portia and Lucas came out from surgery. They told Willow, Nina, Kai, and Anna that Drew hemorrhaged and coded for several minutes, but they repaired the artery. Lucas said Portia saved Drew’s life. He was in critical condition, but they were optimistic he’d be stable soon.
Anna left a message for Chase (who went to the Quartermaines') about Drew making it out of surgery. In an ending montage, she said, “between the congressman’s abuse of his political power and his salacious personal entanglements, there are multiple suspects with ample motive. He’s wronged a lot of people. We don’t know if the crime was born of revenge or righteous indignation. If it was someone driven to protect or someone driven by passion. What we do know is that these suspects are deeply entrenched in Port Charles, well-connected, and perhaps most importantly, dangerously close to the victim. Which means we have to remain vigilant because whoever did this is walking amongst us. And, we can’t rest until we find out who pulled the trigger.”
In the Quartermaine kitchen, Michael and Brook Lynn were talking when Tracy arrived in a t-shirt and sweats. The police took her clothes as evidence since they had Drew’s blood on them. Michael remained stoic when Tracy told them Drew was shot and in surgery. She was still worried how she was going to tell Monica.
Despite everything Drew had done, Tracy said Monica still saw Drew as Alan’s son and was worried she’d be too fragile to hear the news. Tracy asked that Brook Lynn work with Yuri to keep Monica away from her TV and devices so she wouldn’t hear the news yet. Brook Lynn left. When Michael said he was sorry Tracy had to find Drew, she told him not to be sorry but to be grateful because she knew he was there too.
Tracy saw Michael parked up the street from Drew’s house and saw him pull away. She immediately stopped him when he tried to explain what he was doing there, because she didn’t want to hear anything she might have to repeat on a witness stand. However, she felt if she saw him there, someone else likely did too.
Tracy told Michael that, if anything happened to him, it would be the end of Monica so he needed to get himself an alibi. After Michael left, Brook Lynn came back. Tracy talked about how awful it was to find Drew. Seeing his body, she felt compassion but, after the paramedics took him, her fury set in. She was angry that he’d finally pushed someone so far that they shot him. Tracy said Drew wanted everything Michael had and tried to dismantle Michael’s life to get it.
Chase arrived and said he needed their help to figure out what happened. Since Michael wasn’t there to question, Chase asked Tracy and Brook Lynn questions about Michael’s whereabouts earlier.
Lulu met with her Uncle Martin at the Port Charles Grill. He said he had a story that could establish Lulu as the “foremost investigative journalist in Port Charles”. However, he wanted complete anonymity because he was going to break attorney-client privilege which would ruin his reputation and could get him disbarred.
Lulu said no outlet would run a bombshell story without attribution because they’d be held liable. Because of that, she felt she couldn’t take the story, but then Martin told her it involved Drew. He said Drew was guilty of corruption and abuse of office because he used his position to target Stella Henry as part of a personal vendetta against Curtis Ashford.
Martin couldn’t provide concrete evidence, but felt Lulu could find something to confirm his accusation. He felt if she could expose Drew, it would keep Ezra Boyle from beating Laura for mayor, and save Stella. Lulu said she could expose Drew but, unfortunately, wouldn’t be able to save Stella if she was legally guilty.
Martin hoped exposing Drew would be able to cast enough shade on the situation to help Stella’s case. Lulu agreed to look into it, but cautioned him to manage his expectations. As he was thanking her, he caught a call about Drew’s shooting.
Michael came back to the restaurant looking for a woman he was talking to earlier. Speaking to a waiter, Michael said he was there earlier and talked to a woman who was blonde, attractive, and around his age. The waiter remembered seeing them but said he didn’t know who the woman was and, since Michael picked up her check, he wouldn’t be able to pull a name for him either.
Jordan met Curtis at the Brown Dog. He’d said he needed a friend and she always showed up for him. He told her that his marriage to Portia was over which surprised Jordan. When they sat to talk, Curtis said he couldn’t be with Portia anymore because he couldn’t trust her.
Curtis went on to talk about Portia’s insecurities, mistrust, and her mindset of lying. He went on to say that he was noticing a lot more similarities between him and Jordan than he had with Portia. Jordan encouraged him to give him and Portia some time and breathing room to have a chance to remember what was good in their marriage. Curtis said it wouldn’t matter because Portia didn’t think they had a chance and had said the only reason he was ever with her was because he had been rebounding from Jordan. When Jordan asked Curtis if he thought Portia was right, he said he didn’t know. Jordan got a text about Drew’s attempted murder.
