On General Hospital, James Nathan West has been through a lot in recent months. First, his mother, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), nearly died and was sent to Boston for treatment while in a coma. Now, he recently found out that the father he has never met, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), is somehow actually alive and being treated at GH.
James’s portrayer, Gary James Fuller, has a lot to play on the show right now as his young character deals with these parental shocks. The child actor has been enjoying himself.
James West has a lot of upcoming family drama on General Hospital
On his Instagram account, which is run by his mother, Rebecca, Fuller was shown having a long day in the General Hospital studio on September 30th. He was shown posing outside the main studio entrance with the giant GH sign.
She captioned the post, “Early morning call times lead to car ride naps on the way home! Always grateful to be on set and work with our amazing cast and crew.”
Several fans praised the young actor for his work. The Instagram user michelle_harley_quinn_faith said, “So proud of you, young man.”
Rebecca Fuller has been sharing several Instagram posts of her son behind the scenes lately. On September 18th, she posted pictures of a recent episode in which James filmed with Josh Kelly (Cody Bell) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio). It was a scene in which James was sad that his mother was away fighting for her life.
She captioned that post, “Behind the scenes of Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital! I always love working with Josh and Kristina.”
On September 21st, Fuller wished a happy birthday to his Port Charles dad, Bradford Anderson, who plays Spinelli. He showed a picture of Spinelli making a concerned face on the show. His mother captioned that post, “Happy birthday to the best quasi-dad, @bfordanderson! I feel like Spinelli has to make these faces at James a lot. Hope you have a wonderful day!” Anderson commented on the post, “Thanks you buddy!!!!”
Fuller has also posted pictures of himself while filming scenes in the Metro Court pool and playing peekaboo underneath a desk in an unidentified spot in the studio.

When he’s not acting, Fuller is playing baseball. According to his mother, his youth team won a tournament in Las Vegas in early September. Rebecca also posted a picture of her son when he was 3 years old.
