On General Hospital, Dr. Isaiah Gannon will eventually be involved in classic who’s-the-daddy drama after his recent relations with his boss, Dr. Portia Robinson.
As of the October 14th episode, Isaiah doesn’t know that Portia (Brook Kerr) is pregnant, but if that happens soon, Isaiah’s portrayer, Sawandi Wilson, will have some of his best material to play.
Sawandi Wilson is happy and grateful for his General Hospital opportunity
Wilson is grateful for the opportunities he is getting on General Hospital. Shortly after celebrating his first anniversary on the show, he enjoyed getting to meet fans of the show over the weekend.
Wilson posted on his Instagram account after meeting fans in an official event at Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. He was there with the other candidate to be Portia’s new baby-daddy, Donnell Turner, who plays Curtis Ashford.
Wilson posted a video from the club, showing himself with Turner, and in front of the club, pointing at a poster advertising the event.
He showed himself signing a headshot of himself for a fan. In the post, he said he had that picture professionally made with his last eighty dollars. He tagged his friend L Morgan Lee, who took the photograph. He captioned the post, “From $80 and a dream to moments like this. I’m Grateful for every step. GH fans and family, thank you for the love always.”
In a voiceover for the video, he said, “If you had told me eight years ago that I would be signing it for anyone, I’d say that you are a liar.” He then thanked the fans there for coming to the event.
Lee, the photographer, commented, “Love seeing this!” with a heart emoji.
Numerous fans praised Wilson for his work on General Hospital, including a few who said that they were at the event. The Instagram user charlielove41084 said, “You (are) not only an awesome actor [but] you are also an awesome person.. You treat your fans with so much love and respect. Thank you.” Another user said, “My two favorites, that’s a great story! Keep up the amazing work.”
When he’s not embroiled in doctor drama on the soap, Wilson has lately been busy doing voiceover work on commercials. He recently gave his Instagram followers some insight and behind-the-scenes details on his work there.
