As Drew Cain on General Hospital, Cameron Mathison is used to playing someone who is not welcome somewhere.

Mathison got a friendly taste of that in real life, when he and castmate Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri) went to a Los Angeles Dodgers game in Dodger Stadium October 28th.

The Toronto Blue Jays won Game 4 of the World Series over the Dodgers, 6-2, tying the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

There have been numerous celebrities at Dodger Stadium this week for the World Series wearing Dodgers gear, but these General Hospital stars were rooting for the visiting team.

Mathison and Zamprogna sat together in the upper deck behind home plate, wearing Blue Jays hats, with Zamprogna wearing a Blue Jays T-shirt. Both were born in Ontario, Canada and spent the early part of their careers north of the border.

Both actors posted pictures and videos on their Instagram accounts of them together, and views of the field below them. Mathison, in a grid post, said “Game 4. Jays fighting back. Two Canadians holding it down in Dodger blue territory.”

Inga Cadranel, who played Harmony Miller on General Hospital and was born in Toronto, commented on the post “Let’s go @bluejays!!” with a fire emoji and blue baseball cap emoji.

Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) commented “I see you two” then adding two emojis of the Canadian flag.

Numerous fans commented on the post showing their support of the Blue Jays against the favored Dodgers.

Mathison was born in Sarnia, Ontario, which is near the Michigan border. He went to high school in the Toronto area and went to college at McGill University in Montreal, where he played on the basketball team.

Zamprogna was born in Hamilton, Ontario, about 50 miles from Toronto. He attended the University of Toronto briefly and worked a lot in his home country early in his career, including on iconic Canadian shows Edgemont and Are You Afraid of the Dark?

In past interviews, Zamprogna has talked a lot about his support for all the Toronto teams, including the Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Raptors of the National Basketball Association. Earlier in the week, he posted a picture of himself on his Instagram Stories in his General Hospital dressing room wearing a Blue Jays jersey

He has recounted watching a Raptors playoff game at the Daytime Emmys when he was nominated for an Emmy in 2016.

The Raptors won the NBA championship in 2019. The Blue Jays last won the World Series in 1993 after winning it in 1992.

“The Raptors won the NBA championship in 2019 and that felt great because I’d never actually seen one of my teams win anything!” Zamprogna told Soap Opera Digest in 2023. “Well, I did see the Jays win the World Series back-to-back in ’92 and ’93, but I was too young to really understand how special it was.”
