General Hospital has all the pieces in place for a shocking reveal if they choose to go that route. Since Anna Devane being held captive at Wyndemere , the smartest way forward would just might be Lucas Jones stumbling onto the truth. Lucas currently lives at Wyndemere with his boyfriend Marco, the son of dangerous criminal Jenz Sidwell. That detail alone makes this twist feel almost inevitable.
Lucas is not hunting for answers, not (fully) questioning his surroundings, and not listening to the warnings coming from Carly. He loves Marco and is choosing to believe he is safe. That blind spot is exactly why this works. Lucas is not a spy or an action hero, he's a doctor. Finding Anna is precisely what could take his character to the next level and add much needed depth and relevance.
Lucas is the right choice

Once Lucas realizes Anna is being held somewhere in the house, everything changes. He cannot unknow it. He cannot casually walk away. And he cannot safely confront the truth without risking his own life. Marco is already viewed as suspicious by Carly and Josslyn, and for good reason. He is knee deep in Sidwell’s criminal activity and connected to Pascal, who has been the primary figure tormenting Anna. It is highly likely Marco knows exactly what is happening at Wyndemere.
Lucas choosing to ignore those red flags makes his eventual realization even more painful. Discovering Anna would force Lucas to confront not just a crime, but the possibility that the man he loves has been lying to him the entire time. That reckoning carries emotional weight that no outside rescue team from the WSB or PCPD could match.
Anna’s captivity is layered with psychological manipulation, especially the continued taunting about Faison and his so-called final project. With Britt and Nathan already woven into the mystery and the show openly flirting with the idea that anything is possible, this storyline thrives on uncertainty. Eventually, Lucas' curiosity will get the best of him, and he will explore a bit too deeply into the catacombs of his new abode and locate the missing police commissioner.
The fallout writes itself

Perhaps, Lucas would not rush to expose the truth. Instead, he could wrestle with it for some time before coming to a decision. Protecting Anna means risking Marco. However, staying silent means living with guilt and fear. Either choice comes at a steep price. Eventually, the truth would come out regardless. Also, Lucas would be forced to confront his pride when he realizes Carly was right all along. His relationship with Marco would be destroyed and he'd be in grave danger.
Imagine Lucas wondering if Marco knows that he found Anna. Lucas would be forced to walk around Wyndemere on eggshells, hoping to come up with an escape plan for Anna, while avoiding the wrath of Sidwell. It's no easy feat, and he could find himself in the line of fire. No matter the outcome, Lucas will be forced to reckon with the fact that he ignored all of the warning signs about the man he loves. Somehow, having to eat a humble pie baked by Carly is worse than being tossed off the parapet at Wyndemere.
Carly’s role in the fallout should not be understated. Lucas dismissing her concerns has already been played as blind optimism. When the truth comes out, Lucas will have to face the fact that Carly saw danger clearly while he refused to look. That realization will hit his pride as much as his heart. Even if everything he said about Sonny was true, none of that changed that fact that Carly was right all along.
