On General Hospital, Laura committed assault on Dalton (Daniel Goddard), but in front of no less than 25 people who are now witnesses to this, a wise move or folly from Laura (Genie Francis), and will it matter?
What happened on General Hospital
The lab break-in at Dalton's (Daniel Goddard) lab didn’t go as intended, and Dalton has managed to cover up what was really happening in there and frame Rocco (Finn Carr) effectively for damaging proprietary equipment and processes. Rocco has been arrested and is now in quite a legal bind, with Dalton's false testimony; Rocco now faces escalating charges at the arraignment. After discovering that Dalton had lied and deliberately framed Laura’s (Gene Francis) grandson, she was driven to confront and assault Dalton.
This move could have some fallout for the charged Rocco, and fans debate whether it was as bad a move as they think. The Soap Central Message Boards have the whole discussion.
Laura assaulted Dalton in front of 25 people.
Salter –– Will she be arrested? Will she be impeached? Why would she do such an improper thing in front of all those cameras? She even threatened him!
LoveVillains –– She should have hit him harder.
Chillowfan84 –– well, she definitely lost, and if he ends up swimming with fish, she will be suspect number one. I actually like this twist for Laura, so it doesn't bug me.
Soappc –– I wonder if that was scripted or if it was something that happened in the moment while filming.
OLTLBoomer –– Laura is being written out of character. I get being upset about her grandson, but that slap, in a precinct, on Election Day, was over the top.

Bopeonarope –– Old school Laura would have slapped him into the next county for messing with her family. This is the Spitfire Laura I remember watching in the good old days, and I enjoy it now because I get to see Genie putting on a clinic...love her acting. If it ends up putting Laura on a murder suspect list, then bring it, because Genie will definitely bring it.

Dalton, played by Daniel Goddard, definitely had it coming, but this would be quite the spectacular backfire if he’s baited her as well as we think. Laura fans united, however, and let it be known That You Do Not mess with Laura.
