All My Children star Susan Lucci told much of her life story about 15 years ago with her autobiography, All My Life, which detailed her life on and away from Pine Valley, AMC's locale. Now, the actress who brought the vivacious and unpredictable Erica Kane to live for over 40 years is going to be telling some new stories in a brand new book titled La Lucci. All My Children, Viva La Lucci! View this post on Instagram Instagram Post"I'm Susan Lucci," the actress began an Instagram reel, "author of La Lucci. What inspired me to return 15 years later, with La Lucci is those 15 years."Frankly, I've written in this book, La Lucci, about milestones and the choices that I've made. I know very well that many of these milestones are milestones that all of you out there have gone through, are going through, and I know that that connects us. I don't want you to feel alone." While Erica had many, many husbands throughout the course of her life, Lucci is sticking with her former co-author, Laura Morton, who helped her write All My Life. "Somehow in the questions that she asks me and in her manner, it gave me permission to tell my story," Lucci reveals. "I want you to take a journey with me and see where that takes you." All My Life was released in March 2011, approximately six months before the finale of All My Children. In October 2011, a paperback version of All My Life was released, which included an updated chapter and Lucci's thoughts on AMC ending. Life after All My LifeSusan Lucci and her late husband, Helmet Huber | Image: JPISince AMC went to that great soap in the sky, Lucci appeared on the Lifetime series Devious Maids, created by Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives). On Devious Maids, Lucci played Genevieve, a woman who had to acclimate to a household without the honesty and humor of her maid Zoila (Judy Reyes). In late 2023, Lucci received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmys, honoring her contributions to daytime TV. At the ceremony, Lucci was reunited with AMC pals, including Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan, General Hospital) and Eden Riegel (ex-Bianca). La Lucci will likely include memories from that night as well as Lucci addressing the loss of her beloved husband, Helmet Huber, who passed away in 2022.
