'Brucas' and 'Bratt' — General Hospital's Parry Shen previews two monumental reunions

Port Charles life is about to become a little more complicated for several characters as Parry Shen brings Brad Cooper back to the General Hospital scene.

It's been more than half a year since Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) gave blackmailing and scheming lab tech Brad one million dollars to leave town and never mention who actually set him up to do body shots off Jacinda's (Paige Herschell) belly while on ketamine. But Brad has somehow run through all that cash, so he turns up back in Port Charles this week looking for some more — and also looking for two people who are very close to him.

One reason Brad was willing to leave town was that he thought his relationship with Lucas (Van Hansis) was over for good. After all, Lucas was moving on with Marco (Adrian Anchondo). Now, Lucas has also moved in with Marco, which comes as a little bit of a surprise to Brad.

"Brad’s pretty taken aback," Shen told Soap Opera Digest. "He assumed — or hoped — that Marco was just a rebound fling and that the relationship was long over by now."

Brad and Lucas' last encounter was only in May, but the last time Brad saw his BFF, Britt, was at the start of 2023. That's when Brad said goodbye to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), thinking she had taken her last breath. Well, surprise, she is alive, back working at GH, and still the same 'Britch' he's always loved.

So far, those who loved Britt the most have been furious that she faked her own death and put them through so much grief, including Britt's own mother, Liesl. Will Brad feel the same way?

"If you are a fan of #Bratt, you will not be disappointed, because we come out the gates with guns blazing," Shen teased, adding that their initial scenes together are "delicious."

Brad also reunites with the woman he tortured during his last year in town by blackmailing her with the knowledge that she fudged Heather Webber's (Alley Mills) test results. Pregnant Portia (Brook Kerr) has been happy to have Brad out of her hair, but Dr. Robinson appears to be one of the first people Brad greets upon his return. Expect drama, humor, and chaos this week, something Brad always brings.
