The mystery of what Professor Dalton is up to on General Hospital has fans guessing. He’s doing some nefarious experiments that has piqued the WSB’s curiosity, and they want the tech that he’s developing. With newly minted spy, Josslyn (Eden McCoy), on the case, as well as Emma (Braedyn Bruner) wanting to stop him because she believes his work involves animal testing, Dalton doesn’t realize that he’s being closed in on. Daniel Goddard is having a great time playing the new character and shared his love for the part with his fans.

It’s a Historic Show

From the set of General Hospital, newcomer Daniel Goddard shared a video on Instagram in which he stated, “As I sit on set waiting to go into my scenes, it just dawned on me: I'm back on set. And I'm so lucky. And I'm so grateful.” For emphasis, he added another, “I'm so grateful.” He captioned the video with, “On set at #gh and overflowing with gratitude for the opportunity that @generalhospitalabc has given me.”

He continued by thanking executive producer Frank Valentini and casting director Mark Teschner, writing, “Thank you, @fvalentinigh, for letting me become part of this historic show. Thank you to @markteschner for believing in me…and thank you to all of the fans, cast, and crew who have welcomed me with open arms, and shown me nothing but love…I do this for you, and you have no idea how much it means to me.”

The show is the lucky one

Jason Thompson, who previously played Dr. Patrick Drake on General Hospital and currently plays Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless, responded, “And you work with Craig, the legend. I can hear him counting down in the background.” He’s probably referring to Craig McManus, who has been serving as the show’s stage manager and occasional director since 1992. His voice was heard in Goddard’s video doing the countdown for a recording to begin on set.

A follower using the handle @exoticallyrare shared the heartfelt response: “Hi Daniel, you’re not lucky. You are simply blessed. God‘s perfect timing is all you needed, and here you are.” The fan went on to say that General Hospital was lucky to have him. Goddard wrote an excited and heartfelt reply to them with, “@exoticallyrare, Thank you so much for your beautiful words. That truly means a lot to me. I agree, God’s timing is always perfect. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and for the support from amazing people like you. Being back on set, especially with a legendary show like General Hospital, feels like a true blessing. I’m ready to give it my all, let’s do this!” (Is Emma also a super spy?)
