General Hospital's Michael has been doing everything possible to make sure the police can't pin Drew Cain's shooting on him. Thanks to Tracy, Michael was outside Drew's house the night he was shot, but Michael found himself an alibi who seems to be doing her job quite well.

Did he or didn't he?

Michael was adamant with Jacinda (Paige Herschell) that he did not shoot his creepy congressman uncle, despite hiring the call girl to be his alibi and pretend she was falling in love with him. If he didn't do it, then why does he need a false alibi? Rory Gibson is not sure, but he loves playing the uncertainty.

"If you’re on a show and you know where everything is going to lead, sometimes people have a tendency to play the outcome a little bit," Gibson told Soap Opera Digest. "But when you genuinely don’t know, it lends itself a little bit more to a realistic telling because if I was actually in the situation [Michael is in], I would be acting my butt off to make sure I was presumed innocent!"

Can Michael's alibi really lead to General Hospital romance?

Ever since Michael and Jacinda embarked on their little game, General Hospital fans have wondered if something more could happen between them. Right now, this just seems to be a business arrangement, but sometimes the best soap romances start out at just that.

Fans are seeing the spark between them, but Gibson admits that fans also just want to see Michael find a little happiness and smile a bit.

"I do think it’s a combination," he said. "Michael and Jacinda definitely have chemistry, but it also seems like people just really want Michael to have some love in his life!"

Michael hasn't had much luck with his love life over the last year. He learned that his wife slept with his uncle, which led to Michael having a drunken one-night stand with his ex, Sasha. After Sasha gave birth to Michael's daughter in the midst of a courtroom drama custody trial, fans thought that "Misha" would be given a second chance, but Sofia Mattsson chose to leave the soap soon after.

Jacinda definitely puts a smile on Michael's face, so we'll see where they go from here. Perhaps Sasha will return just as things are heating up between Michael and his new lady love...
