General Hospital and All My Children star Eva LaRue has played dramatic tales as her respective characters, Natalia and Maria. What viewers may not know is that the actress and her daughter, Kaya, had been stalked for years in real life. Their story is being told in a Paramount Network documentary titled My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story.
Life after General Hospital

LaRue's story as Natalia came to a tragic end after she succumbed to injuries sustained in a car wreck. However, that doesn't compare to LaRue's real-life ordeal, which is being brought to life in My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story.
The documentary is set for release on Thursday, November 13, on the streaming platform Paramount Plus. It tells the harrowing true story of how Daytime Emmy-winner LaRue (she took home the gold in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for her role as Celeste on The Young and the Restless) and her daughter endured 12 years of terror from a relentless stalker.
LaRue's stalker operated from the shadows as he taunted and terrorized the women's lives while his identity remained a mystery, even to the FBI. In this gripping account, LaRue reveals the constant fear, emotional turmoil, and the resolve, courage, and resilience that it took to protect her family.
LaRue not only appears in the documentary, but she also serves as its executive producer along with Andrea Gabourie and Mitchell Gabourie. Stephen Scott directed the documentary.
From Santa Barbara to Port Charles Via Pine Valley

After a brief stint as Margot Collins on Santa Barbara, LaRue auditioned for the role of Sheila Carter on Y&R, which went to Kimberlin Brown. Next, LaRue landed the role she's known most for by daytime fans -- Dr. Maria Santos Grey on AMC. There, the actress met her late ex-husband, John Callahan (Edmund).
LaRue left the show in 1998 in dramatic fashion when Maria was presumed dead after switching seats with Brooke (Julia Barr) on an airplane, and the seat Brooke originally sat in (which became Maria's seat) was in a part of the plane that fell into the ocean.
LaRue returned to the show in 2002 as an amnesiac named Maureen (who, of course, turned out to be Maria). Next, LaRue went on to star in the primetime CBS hit series CSI: Miami as Natalia Boa Vista, a DNA analyst. She returned to AMC in its final weeks in 2011 to reprise Maria and perform a scene with her pal and former castmate Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall), who played a hospital patient.
