Diane Miller’s legal skills have been working overtime lately on General Hospital. She’s juggling the delicate task of figuring out how to keep Michael and Carly from being prosecuted for Drew’s shooting — which, let’s face it, is about as easy as arguing with Sonny and winning.
While Diane fights to keep her clients out of prison, her portrayer, Carolyn Hennesy, was busy answering fan questions online. And she didn’t just give a typical PR answer. She made it very clear she’s right there with the fans.
A General Hospital write-in campaign?
In an Instagram post, Carolyn Hennesy wrote: “Barbara on Facebook asks, how can you see more Diane Miller on @generalhospitalabc? I love my character, Diane Miller, and I loved that I got to help craft her with the amazing writers at General Hospital. In this Ask Me Anything, I give you some tips on how you could maybe start a write-in campaign to the producers to see more of Diane Miller!”
In her video, she greeted Barbara and said she’d love to see Diane on GH every day — and not just as a passing thought. She pointed out that every actor dreams of playing a beloved role full-time, and for her, Diane is that role. She stated, “Diane didn't come on the scene fully formed. I was able to create her with the writers and the producers. So she is me and I am her in so many ways. I got my love of shoes from Diane.”
She reminded fans that the only real way to make it happen is to rally together and start a write-in campaign to the powers that be. (Find out how Hennesy cleared up a fan debate about her hair.)
Fans want it just as much
Fans wasted no time flooding the comments with adoration. “I LOVE Diane!!! Her swagger, her talk, her hair, her relationship with Sonny and Jason. Doesn’t get any better!” wrote @ljshen71. @ac.nicholson declared, “The fact that you don’t have an Emmy for Diane Miller is an injustice and a tragedy. Hands down best character on the show. Perfection.”
“I have always absolutely loved Diane!! You do such a wonderful job portraying her, Carolyn,” shared @grneyed_mama. “She’s classy, intelligent, quick-witted, fashion savvy, and yes, she has great taste in shoes.”
