Jophielle Love, General Hospital’s precocious child Violet Finn who has not been on the show for a year, is in a new commercial starring with well-known actress Elle Fanning.
Love is in an ad for Coach brand purses. She appears with Fanning, 27, who plays a young woman sitting at a desk and dreaming of adventures. She thinks about her inner child, played by Love, and they go outside to climb a tree, with a Coach handbag playing a key role. The theme for the ad is “Revive Your Courage.”
Violet left Port Charles in 2024 on General Hospital
Love is a great likeness as the younger version of Fanning, who has starred in movies such as Super 8 and Maleficent. She has been nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes for playing Catherine the Great in the comedy series The Great.
On her Instagram account, run by her mother, Love said, “Very excited for the new @coach commercial I got to be part of, playing young Elle @ellefanning ! Enjoy! Thanks @zuriagency for the call!”
Rebecca Budig, who played Violet’s mother Hayden Barnes on General Hospital, and currently stars as Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful, commented “I love this. So good.” Lydia Look (Selina Wu) commented, “Love!” followed by heart emojis.
Numerous General Hospital fans congratulated her on the commercial. The user sprinkles_lorelai said, “This is fabulous! Congrats! miss u on GH! Hope Violet can come visit Port Charles soon!”
Love has not been on General Hospital since 2024, when Violet’s father Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) took her to Seattle following the death of his father Gregory (Gregory Harrison) and his stint in rehab. Since then, Love has had a recurring role on the ABC primetime series Will Trent as Cooper Ormewood. She also has time to be a kid and have fun, recently showing a video of herself walking a tightrope with a safety harness.
Love wished Harrison well on his Emmy nomination for playing Gregory Chase, posting on her Instagram. “Congratulations Grand’Pa Gregory @gnhsurf Gregory Harrison for your Daytime Emmy’s nomination ! Well deserved ! 2024 sure was an intense year in our family’s storyline on @generalhospitalabc ! And of course congrats to the show in general. 16 nominations.”

In an interview last year, Love said she hopes she can return to the show some day. “I don’t know how or when, but I hope it is not too long from now,” she said. “It would be great if I could come back with my dad but as we saw, there is no way of knowing what the story will be. I could be back next year or in 10 years!”
