General Hospital’s Maurice Benard celebrates son Joshua’s birthday in New York City

In 2022, Joshua Benard -- the son of General Hospital star Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) -- played a college student named Adam. He had quite a bit of trouble from his overbearing father, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) helped him out. He hasn’t been seen since 2023, but fans still love to hear about what he’s up to on social media.

General Hospital’s Maurice Benard shared a poster on X, formerly Twitter, that had a picture of him on a stage holding a microphone, with text overlaid that said he would be appearing at The Picture House in Pelham, New York, and Bananas Comedy Club in Rutherford, New Jersey on December 7. He captioned it, “Joshua Benard will be singing.” The fans were happy to see this announcement, especially because the younger Benard would be crooning.

Over on Instagram, he posted a sepia-tone pic of Joshua, writing, “I’m spending quality time with my son and his mother on Joshua‘s birthday!!! We are in New York. I am very proud of who my son has become. He has the world right in front of him and I will guide him to make the best decisions he can. Life has many ups and many downs, but it’s the downs that make you who you are. I love you my son 👨‍❤️‍👨. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA.”

Several followers wished Joshua a happy birthday, and Benard responded with heart emojis on many of them. @jenlovesyankees eagerly replied, “Happy birthday to Josh. May God continue to bless him as he chases his acting and music dreams... love NYC.”

Another fan, @jennyguss, shared the impressive reason they would be attending the Benards’ show, posting, Happy birthday Joshua! Great day indeed. Today is [my] and my husband's 25th wedding anniversary! May you truly be celebrated!❤️🙏🎂🎁🎄✝️.”

@cassmarie3131 lovingly responded, “He is such a kind-hearted caring person when I met him you can hear it when he sings in his voice he was raised by two extraordinary parents who had a life-changing impact on his life and that stays with you forever.”
