With Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) dramatic life experience on General Hospital, one wonders what’s next for her. After finally being able make peace with Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) death, she’s moved on with Kai (Jens Austin Astrup). The young man was a college star until a spinal injury left him unable to continue playing because he would otherwise become paralyzed. However, he recently underwent an experimental procedure to fix that, and Trina was by his side the whole time. Now, Ali’s got some sage advice for her followers.
She shared the love of self
Ali shared a photo and a short, repeating video of herself outside on Instagram with the caption, “What I've learned: Self-love is the practice of caring for and accepting yourself unconditionally, acknowledging your worth, and treating yourself with kindness and respect.” She elaborated on her meaning with, “Self-respect is the regard and honor you have for yourself, based on your own values, principles, and sense of integrity.”
The General Hospital star concluded by bringing it all home: “Self-worth is about recognizing your own value without comparison to others. It involves accepting both your strengths and flaws and understanding that your worth isn’t contingent on meeting external standards or achieving perfection.” (Here's what Ali thinks is the future of Trina.)
