General Hospital Spoilers, August 7: Can Anna stop Emma from risking her life?

Here are your General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, August 7, 2025.

What to expect on General Hospital

Anna (Finola Hughes) is a frantic mess, knowing that Emma (Braedyn Bruner) is about to get mixed up in something she doesn't understand. Anna is well aware that Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is mixed up in something much more dangerous and consequential than animal testing, and she's determined to stop her from taking over for Josslyn (Eden McCoy) in Dalton's lab.

To that end, Anna pulls some strings and enlists Felicia (Kristina Wagner) to help her. Does she make a move to ensure that Professor Dalton does not hire Emma to replace Josslyn?

Meanwhile, Emma has a confession to make and opens up to Trina (Tabyana Ali). Her friend asks her if she is sure she wants to work for Dalton, especially after Josslyn told her how creepy he is.

Kristina's regrets

Ava (Maura West) is sure she can't trust Ric (Rick Hearst) because every time she turns around, he has his eyes on Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). She isn't even thinking about Cody (Josh Kelly), despite Kristina (Kate Mansi) paying Cody a lot of cool cash to get Ava to think about him.

While Ava puts Ric to the test, Kristina tells Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) she feels bad for what she has done to Molly (Kristen Vaganos). She hadn't realized how much Molly liked Cody until her plan was well under way. Perhaps Alexis should have tried to talk her daughter out of this dumb idea.

Good news for Sonny

Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) has the happy task of telling her Uncle Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he's off the hook and Tracy (Jane Elliot) is not going to turn him in to try and save Deception. In fact, she plans to save Deception by not turning him in. Sonny is pleased, but that does not mean he is out of the woods yet.

Sidwell (Carlo Rota) still has an ultimate plan to bring Sonny down and discusses it with Drew (Cameron Mathison), who begins to make threats. As for Jordan (Tanisha Harper), she goes to Laura (Genie Francis) with an update on Sidwell and Sonny. However, Laura is not sure she wants to allow Jordan to put herself in danger any longer. Will Jordan listen to reason?
