The week begins with Michael (Chad Duell) making a power move and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) somehow being shocked. Willow took Michael's son out of state so she could be with Michael's uncle, with whom she'd been sleeping. Willow is then shocked when she learns Michael has filed for divorce and is going to fight for their children. It's as if Willow believes she has done nothing wrong.

Michael confides in Sonny (Maurice Benard) and tells him that he has filed for divorce, but he seems to ask for advice. However, something happens in Sonny's penthouse that causes the entire place to go up in flames with Michael inside.

Carly (Laura Wright) is beside herself as she and her family gather at the hospital and light candles for Michael. Will he survive? If she does, will he end up being sent to a facility outside Port Charles to recover from his burns for a few months and then emerge a brand-new man?

Michael's plight will change everything for Willow. She thinks she is gearing up for the custody fight of her life with Michael, but she may now have to battle Carly for custody of her children. That's a whole new ballgame that Willow is going to have to get used to.

Rather than pinning everything on Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), the doctors at GH are getting wise to the fact that something very suspicious is going on with perfectly healthy patients who suddenly find themselves in cardiac arrest. First, Sam (Kelly Monaco) died from an overdose of Digitalis, and then Dex (Evan Hofer). That can't be a coincidence.

Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) is the first person to speak it out loud, and Portia (Brook Kerr) has to listen. Portia should know Liz well enough to realize she is not a careless nurse. She is also certainly not a murderer, so there is clearly something else going on here. When Portia confronts Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and tells him he is no longer allowed to wander the hospital halls with his bible, he stares at her as the elevator closes with a murderous look in his eyes. Portia better watch her back.
