Tracy (Jane Elliot) was glad the children were at school and the adults were at work when Jason (Steve Burton) discovered that Monica (the late Leslie Charleson) had passed. It gave them time to absorb the information before the Quartermaine chaos began.

When Michael (Rory Gibson) comes home, Jason (Steve Burton) takes him aside and talks to him about Monica's death and his regrets. Jason did his best to help Carly (Laura Wright) keep Michael from the Quartermaines when he was a baby, especially his father, AJ Quartermaine. Alan (the late Stuart Damon) and Monica just wanted to know their grandson, but Jason didn't think they should.

Jason tells Michael he regrets those actions now, especially keeping Michael from Monica for so long. Will Michael have any words to alleviate Jason's guilt?

Meanwhile, Alan's other son with Susan Moore is busy being a menace when he taunts Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) for asking if he can see Scout (Cosette Abinante). It appears neither Danny nor Drew (Cameron Mathison) knows what has happened to Monica.

In Anna's (Finola Hughes) office, Anna and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) give big news to the mayor. They believe that Judge Heron's murder and Drew Cain's shooting could be related, which surprises Laura (Genie Francis). Do they show her the evidence they have against Drew that they don't even know is phony?

Chase (Josh Swickard) is called to the scene of an accident, where he finds Lulu (Alexa Havins). She helps someone when she comes across the wreck, but who could that someone be?

Back at Monica's house

In the stables, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Cody (Josh Kelly) figure out that the dog Cody found is the one half of Port Charles is looking for. Molly wants to inform the Gen Z kids desperate to find Outback that they have him, but Cody stops her.

Does he want to keep the dog? Will Outback finally find a home at Monica's house, where he can take over for Annebelle and all of her offspring? It would be exactly what the family needs now, and he would have a perfect caretaker in Cody. However, Cody may not get the $10K reward for the dog's return.
